This beer was hands down the beer that most improved as it warmed. I've had a fresh bottle and while it was a nice coffee bomb out of the fridge, it became an amazing complex beer as it warmed. Loved it and just picked up my 2nd bottle the other day.
Awesome review, Greg! And congratulations on your 1300th! And I agree with the kind things your other subs have said. In my opinion, you are the best reviewer on the Internet! Whenever I get a beer that's new to me, the first thing I do is look to see if you reviewed. If you have, we drink it together. Cheers!
You go Greg. Dang 1,300 reviews. That is awesome. You picked and "EPIC" beer for the big #1,300. Wow , that is cool that you have held on to this one so long. This is a top notch brew. Bet 2014 Greg would buy two. :-) Congratulations my Brother. CHEERS!!!! DJ
I've been watching so many of your reviews, and I'm just waiting to turn 21 to start trying some of these! I plan on sticking with craft beers when I start drinking, and I'm going to steer clear of the BMC's.
I reviewed this back in December. I really, really loved it. I've got a few in the cellar waiting! Congrats on #1300. I've got a long way to go! Cheers Greg!
Hey Greg, got a #50 release. I'm suggestible and my buddy Steve is forever telling how great stouts are, and really not my thing, but this beer is amazing. Not done yet. But it's damn, damn good.
Wow Greg! I can't believe that you're up to 1300 videos! I reviewed this beer as our 2nd review ever I believe? They use a different kind of coffee with each new batch. I can't believe that you have Batch #1 still! They're actually up to Batch 26...I had it a Barrel Aged festival this past weekend. Nice review. Cheers- Morey
This is a solid brew for sure. Congrats on 1300! Keep em coming Greg! Just one question, how come your vids have been getting longer? i.e. 7 mins until beer is poured in this one. Videos are still awesome nonetheless. Cheers!!
Greg - not sure how much beer you order online, but this beer is available at Craftshack.com. They have close to 40 bottles of it for purchase. I've had batch #13 and it was fantastic. Cheers!
Just to let you know the style category on rate-beer isnt a separate catagory users rate its the overall rating compared to all the other beers of the same style(not how well the drinker felt the beer fit the style). So super popular beers like stouts and IPA's will have lower style rating in general just because as a whole those beers get high ratings compared to other styles. More or less the style ratings on more popular beers styles don't mean a whole lot.
Im not sure If you've tried "St Peter's Cream Stout". It was the greatest stout Iv had yet. But If you have I want to see your vid on It. But Iv got to look through 1300 vids lol. So Ill just ask for your opinion on It In this comment "If you've tried It".
Congrats on beer review 1300. This one sounds great.
5 out of 5 for me. One of my favorite Imperial Stouts

What's a good time frame to cellar high gravity beers? I have a couple stouts myself sitting on-rack that I really want to age well.
***** Thanks Greg, cheers!

Release 14 is amazing. 17 just slightly less but still amazing. 18 is top notch. Release 28 is kind of weak. .(and lowest ABV i've seen at 9.9).
I'll send u a 14. Should have your mail ready soon
