55:58 Goff does not need all those weapons. At the end of the 2022 season, PFF ranked the Lions’ OL at #21 for Pass blocking (the OL was injury riddled in 2022), and after Hockinson was traded at mid-season, the only noteworthy pass catcher Goff had to throw to was Amon Ra - Goff still led the Lions to be the #3 offense in the league.
The disrespect of Tua and the elevation of Brock Purdy is honestly insane when they are so similar and play in a similar offense. It shows you how they get stuck to an old narrative even though Tua has been a top 5 QB for 2 years straight
Nate and Charles play off each other really well! They did a great podcast together a while back. Matt killed it this show so excited to see more of this trio go at it!
The Goff hate makes no sense & anyone still doing it isn't watching him play. His performance in the playoffs last year completely changed everything on how I view him. He was unbelievable. Most guys shrink in the playoffs as it's best vs best. Goff was incredible. Didn't he start like 17-17 vs the Rams, 4 straight scoring drives to start. Detroit offense is an absolute juggernaut & Goff is a huge reason why
I'm surprised the Ravens are so low based on O line play when they kept the best 2 guys from last year when they averaged 30 ppg when Lamar was playing. John Simpson is still John Simpson. Zeitler missed games with injuries, and Moses was in a rotation the entire time. Whatever you think of Stanley, he is returning healthy now, and they have in-house replacement options as well as free agent and draft options competing. They're also going from Gus Edwards to King Freaking Henry, no disrespect. The line last year wasn't that good in the first place, though. There is a good chance they'll be better up front than what the injury riddled unit actually produced on film.
Love this trio. Definitely will be a weekly tune in! @37:00 with all this talk about bengals going to an under center offense, what are the chances Zac Taylor borrows from Sean McVay and starts running duo out of pistol to get more in the run game AND give burrow the comfortability of seeing the field?
I wanted to be the first comment ever on your channel!! I'm a Vikings fan so I love your Dad!! You are very knowledgeable I subscribed!! Go get it Nate!!
The lions at 4? The OLine is #1, the RB tandem is #1, the TE is like #3 with a bullet, St Brown is a top #5 plus JaMo and Goff is a top #5 also. With the Best coaching staff. So yes #2 at least. And don't forget they beat #1 last year.
Yeah, the Bills remind me of the recent Chargers or Rams after the Superbowl. The roster is riddled with holes on both sides. But people assume they won't regress just because they have Allen. I'd be surprised if they made the playoffs. It will take the NFL media like the whole season to recognize the reality that they just aren't a good roster anymore.
The packers are very weak on their interior. Their QB was good for half a year. And now everyone has tape on him. They will be lucky to get to ten wins and finish with a top ten O.
These rankings are always sketch because some teams they paint with "best case scenario" and other teams they use "worst case scenario" so it will never make sense unless you use the same one for each imo
Nate Tice is the reason Yahoo! Sports is a successful and relevent company. More Nate Tice content

Love getting Nate Tice back in the podcasting streets! Been missing your analysis since leaving the Athletic

Goff is playing at an elite level. He's definitely teaching the 401 level class and that's why 301 can't understand the fundamentals
No Niners?
I double checked, and still feel like I missed them. Three top 30 players with a top 10-12 QB...?

Love you Nate, finally!!! Harmon too? Lets go
NATE IS BACK!!!
(Am I gonna be in trouble if I admit skipping Football 201?)

Ben Cleveland has looked really good at RG in his most recent starts for Baltimore.

Give us more Nate!
Atlanta rise up!!!!
301 is a cool title. I like it.
I’ll try my best to pay attention to the lessons. Can I chew gum? 😏
Bills?? It'll be interesting how Bills do without a top 5 WR causing defenses stress.

Colts over eagles is ridiculous
Lions will be the # 1 offense in football this year. Superbowl bound.
If wicks can get 80% of snaps gb might be top4
The packers are very weak on their interior. Their QB was good for half a year. And now everyone has tape on him. They will be lucky to get to ten wins and finish with a top ten O.
The Ravens might have the worst offensive line? That's a hot take.

Ok so this is just best offense not best team that will win the Super Bowl which is the Chiefs.

The Lions play 9 games outdoor this year.
The Lions play only 3 outdoor games in the 2024 regular season. Not sure where are you getting the 9?
