I love your art style, I'm not great at faces normally but I recently discovered that I can do animals quite well and I know what you mean about using coloured papers, I find it helps a great deal when it comes to colouring in the piece.

I got your book (with the motivation of both the fact that it is fantasy and that you are doing the art giveaway) and oh my goodness I fell in love with the characters. It's been a long time since I've been so emotionally invested in book characters, and I hope the next one will be out soon! I usually take a long time to read books lately because I haven't been reading as much english but this book was finished in 3 days!
I will try my best in the art giveaway, I have become very excited about it and I hope some of my ideas will work well enough and that in the end I can make a decision on what I'd like to enter.

Have you tried drawing on black paper? I really love that, especially drawing motives with "improper" lightning for light paper, like a horse that's illuminated from the back and you only see the silhouette and very few shades.

wow, I loved the wax paper trick! normally I just flip my drawings and put them against the light, but then I have to erase the mistakes and they don't end up clean at all...

I love all your videos, you're amazing! I really wanted to see a tutorial about an Indian Hand tattoo, because I always like that kind of art and I think very gorgeous. Besides, I want to give a try, but I don't know how, and I'm sure that I can learn with you!! I hope that you can read this text and think on the possibility of doing this tutorial! I finished your book about a week and a half ago and I absolutely loved it! I also love being able to come here and see the characters come to life! Any ideas on when you will be releasing the next novel? I'm excited to see the story continue!
I'm aiming to release them each on July 14th. I'm witting the next one (47,000 words so far! :D ) so only a few months and you'll be able the next one! But if you want to see sneak peaks of the drawing's I'm working on for the second book I'm showing those on my Outsider Pinterest board and my Instagram :)

The brown paper and especially the pastell highlights at the end make the drawing really realistic and pop! :)

I based all the dwarf culture on Old Norse so I've been getting a lot of comments like that haha! :)

do you have any tutorials for drawing realistic portraits in color? I could use some advice for blending and shading.
Just curious, but when you do the sketching, do you refer to images from books/the internet, because the faces genuinely look realistic (like a photograph almost)
I have been trying to find some brown paper like the paper you're using and I keep getting results of brown wrapping paper, brown paper bags and sketchbooks with a brown cover. I was wondering where you got yours from and what it was called on that site?
