    The power drive that this boat comes with a decent trolling motor, just not the best fit for the boat and the locator they added on these was a waste. We ordered this boat and due to some unforseen circumstances, to make a long story short, we ended up with a Ranger VS 1682. Glad you shared this because I can see I am very pleased at how things ended up for us. Not knocking the 175 wt nice boat more storage. But the Ranger ended up being a better option for what we needed. Just has much better components and the price was not much more than the tracker. Still had to upgrade the fish locator and trolling motor. Both boats manufactured by Tracker. Thanks for sharing, best walk thru I have seen for this boat.

    I bought the same boat. 2021. Very happy overall. Keep an eye on your fuel gage. At times it’s not accurate. I upgraded the trailer to a dualie. Really smooth tow and easier to get up and down my steep driveway without dragging anything. I would recommend going with the Garmin graphics. Had to do a soft boot too many times with the Lowrance that came with this boat and the one on my last boat. If you want to add a kicker. Be ready for a 6 month wait. Next investment for the boat I’ll be upgrading the trolling motor with spot lock.

    Beautiful boat. A couple of thoughts...mount that fire extinguisher where you can get to it quickly. You are right about the phone location. Seems like the tumble-forward design of the rear seats eats up a lot of interior space and would make the stern of the boat pretty inaccessible without stepping up. I guess it retains more rear storage or whatever, though.

    I have a 1992 Nitro 160TF. It is sufficient for all my local fishing needs, but is not very good for running over to lake Erie. This boat definitely gives me something to think about. I did have one question though. Is it easy to load and unload by yourself? That is the one reason I never went with a bigger bass boat. Mine is so easy to load and unload by yourself. Thanks for the great review. I am about to pull the trigger on the 2023 version. They made some nice upgrades. I'm looking at the 150 merc. The one I am looking at doesn't have a separate fish finder at the bow and I am not sure if it is prewired so I can add one later. Do both your Lowrance units run off the same transducer? The driver Lowrance is mounted on a swivel, and I am wondering if I can see it while sitting in the bow fishing position. Do you know if it's possible to display the fish finder on a smart phone or tablet? I have owned sailboats where this was a inexpensive way to have multiple navigation positions. Are your auxiliary batteries in parallel or series? Thanks for responses and for making a great review.

    • @RedAngleFishing
      @RedAngleFishing Год назад

      These boats typically don’t come with a fish finder on the bow - I had to have one ran at the bow and upgraded the one on the console (as you can see in the video).
      They run on two different transducers - console graph’s transducer is mounted on back of boat and bow is mounted on the bottom of the trolling motor. These particular units do not show on a phone/tablet.
      I’m not sure about being able to see the console graph from the bow since I never used the one that came with the boat. The cables are ran on the same side of the boat (driver side) where they’re connected from the main battery that powers them.

    Two years later this motor is going strong ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf Just uploaded a video of it after 2 years. We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite

Fortunately, if i back it in right up to the windshield, i can disconnect and lower the jack all the way down, then just push it in. I haven't measured the actual wiggle room yet doing that does, but i feel like it's around 8" drop at the windshield. This is with the tandem axle trailer, but single shouldn't be too different.

      Overall yes. However, I’ve had to take it in the last two years for warranty work: one being to fix the front deck from sagging and the other to fix the back deck from sagging. According to the dealership, tracker didn’t put the proper bracing in like they should have to prevent those issues. Also, be prepared to find random screws that fall out of something from getting loosened up. My advice is to go through your boat and tighten things once in a while to prevent a screw from coming loose and searching for hours to figure out where it came from. Other than that, it rides great, handles big water great, and gives a lot of versatility. Hope this helps.
