Wow we wow we wow! I know I saw this last year but it bears repeating again as a Christmas classic. What fabulous displays and collections! If that doesn’t put you in the mood to decorate- I don’t know what does! Vintage is my new jam! Sadly ever since my 97 year of led mother passed away- I inherited all her vintage decor that I never really appreciated in my youth. Now I crave the nostalgic in honor of her. Every year I pull out her old Xmas decorations and have been adding to them and I’m addicted! Can’t get enough and your friend here has just proven it! Thanx so much for that tour. My goodness, I cannot imagine all the hours it must have taken to put up this display. Then it will take time to take it down and pack it away. I enjoyed the memories of the vintage decorations because this 'vintage' Grandma grew up with many of those decorations. The elves, figured candles, plastic Santa and sleighs, bubble lights, etc.
What an awesome display. I do get sad when i see the plush Santas. The o e on the right looks like one i got on my 1st birthday, we brought him out every year for Christmas. Then we somehow lost him 😥when my mom moved and ive been looking for one ever since although it could never replace mine, but none that ivd found really come close except that one on the right. Thats why i clicked on this video since the santas were on the thumbnail picture.

What an outstanding collection of vintage Christmas! Wow. Thank you for sharing the joy! I just found a toy cash register in the same reddish color, and have used it in my cupboard as part of my Christmas display. So very lovely! Thank you!!

I've always done a lot for decorating, but I've noticed in recent years that it takes me days now to figure out where to put things as my collection grows since I never repeat where I put things from one year to the next. Is it overwhelming for your friend to decorate, or does she have a system?
Hi @faeriefire I tend to decorate with a color theme in mind. for xmas, the kitchen has my turquoise Pyrex and jadeite and kitchen-y items. the green cabinet has a woodland theme with darker greens and nature related items. the white cabinet has a whimsical theme for fun stuff from childhood. grouping things with a theme in mind helps.... and have fun with it😊
In our city "Portland Oregon" Goodwill has stores that they outlet stores. they are just a big room with long blue bins. Everything is weighed by the pound.
