Repair Fiat Ducato ignition barrel

How to Repair fiat ducato ignition barrel.
Once you have the ignition barrel out, knowing how to pull it apart for repair or rekeying is important.
If you have new wafers for the lock you should replace them. If not you can follow what I did in this video.

Excellent video. Think I got to mine just in time as turning anticlockwise to get the barrel out took about an hour and eventually involved using a vise. Before I sorted mine, one of my keys didn't work at all and the other only bearly worked if I inserted the key the right way round. Followed your instructions and now all works like new. Cheers.

You didn`t mention the lock ring that must be removed. And the springs that makes the wafers pop all over the place... Otherwise a very goog video 🙂

if we remove all pins/levers/groovy in barrel, does the car start. new barrel will take 10 days to deliver so need to start the car

Hi - when the engine is running I can pull the key out of my Ducato /Boxer lock … can this be fixed or do I need a new barrel ? Cheers
