Maggotty was the number one market in the 60s and early 70s a few of the women from Treasure Beach use to sell fry fish there also the men sell fresh fresh fish my uncle and my mom was one of those people.i went to maggotty once on my life in the 60s i remember a tall mountain over thr market.Blessing to my brother and stay safe.

Between the gas station and that short cut road, the river used to go all the way to the town square. Then revere came along and fill it up in order to make that short cut to the bauxite plant. I use to sell snow cones while my father sold ice cream on Saturday, people use to come from Trelawney , Hanover, Clarendon and Manchester to buy and sell. Now it is a ghost town
