Obviously has been a disappointing couple of days for Lincoln Riley and USC in the transfer portal losing out on Derrick Harmon. Taking a look at a few other options for the Trojans in the transfer portal on the DL.

Sucks to lose out on a quality depth piece but at the end of the day , that’s all Harmon and most these guys are for most these teams.. due to the DL being the most sought after position in the 2nd transfer window , their value was always gonna be inflated.
None of these guys are gonna be day 1 draft picks but they wanna be paid like one cause this is the last year of the big bag until revenue sharing goes into effect.
Sucks as a usc fan but we are building with a lot of great young talent , and I’m not sure paying a 1 year rental player a million dollars is condusive to that.

Oregon has 47 Billion to use. You can't spend that kind of money on 1 guy. He is not the elite player at that position.

USC doesn’t need to waste time on guys like Harmon. I’m sure he’s a good player but he obviously was trying to get paid. USC offered him and he came for a visit but he waited until Oregon came with a bigger bag. Let’s go after guys who are excited to play for SC and aren’t just looking at who pays the most

USC has an elite defensive coaching staff. It's the unproven factor (along with better NIL deals) right now. Whoever SC picks up in the transfer portal and gets them coached-up along with the current defensive team, and they show out this season, this will draw a lot more top-tier defensive players to USC in the future.
I believe this to be SC's plan, coach-up the second tier DL-men they bring in along with Carlon and Ratumanu; who I both expect to burn redshirts.
Add Foster to the mix, move Monheim and we're going to be just fine.

On the surface USC got hosed in this round of the transfer portal.both their rivals OKLAHOMA AND OREGON got their targeted player. Both!! But this is a blessing in disguise in a monumental way. First USC will ned to rely on their coaching staff to really amped the team in this case younger players will get playing time. And the money allocated for one csn now be spent on 2 or even 3 for overall depth of their DLINE. BESR ALEXANDER was committed as he did comeback to finish waht he promised and to think about it you want players to play that want your program to succeed. Also for the booster like HOUSE OF VICTORY… dont go the LINCOLN RILEY way and learn the absolute hard way. USC is flowing with so much money its time to play the game… common now… min wage is $20…
