Yet another part I wasn't aware of.....I just purchased a 2018 Club Car Precedent and don't know much about them....but I will from watching your videos..... Thanks Much....
Hey brother, great video. I have a question for you if you dont mind. I know very little about golf carts but a elderly neighbor of mine asked me for help. She has 6, 8volt Trojan batteries in her club car and she says that she cannot play a full 18 without the cart dying. It does not hold a charge long enough. Do you have any suggestions into what i should be looking into? Any adive sould be appreciated. Thanks!
Look at the top of the batteries on the terminal. Should have a letter and number stamped into the terminal. Letters will be months and number is the year. That will tell you how to determine the year of the batteries and just know they usually last 5 years "if taken car4e of properly". I would also check the water levels in each battery as they should be just above the plates in the batteries (monthly maintenance). Check the voltage of each battery and then the pack voltage. Might have a low battery.
Ryan this was just the video I needed. I was having acceleration issues on my 2017 and though maybe it was the controller or something but I replaced the MCOR as you showed and I am good to go! It was easy other than fighting a rusty bolt. Thanks!!!
Hey you are the man! I have a 2010 club car precedent which is going thru the same issue. At cold start it will roll backwards or forwards two or three feet and stop. I turn the switch off, wait a few seconds and it does the same thing all over again. I installed a brand new MCOR last evening, charged the batteries over night(which are only 6 months old), got up this morning and found her still doing the same thing. At time of battery installation I also installed brand new cables and stainless nuts. She was running great until 2 weeks ago. She helped in doing yard work and running errands 1 day and sick the next day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to take her to the shop. I’m a dyi’er by nature and want to fix her myself. Thanks in advance.
Great video thx for it and your help. I would do just that . Mine is doing exactly the same. ?? Is do they all take different MCOR?? Mine is a Club Carr
I have a club car 2017 prec I don’t know what part to buy for conversion throttle help I’m a senior and can’t afford to pay repairs I did a lot of searching to find you😅linda
Have a question. I have a 2007 Yamaha Utv. Driving slowly it will stop and after several minutes it will start moving again. Batteries are newer and charged. Any idea what to checkout??
"Everyone" told me the same thing about Chinese sourced MCOR's, but when my 2016 Precedent started having jerky acceleration and I checked out buying an OEM MCOR, I about choked over the price. So I ended up buying the same 10LOL brand MCOR, and I've done more "LOL's" than 10 since it's still working 1.5 years later. I'm sure there are some non-OEM ones that quickly fail, but since most parts (yes, even OEM) are made in the same Chinese factories, it's financially wiser (and definitely worth the risk) to try the significantly cheaper part first. By the way, good karma fixing a friend's cart like that. I don't have a problem with cart shops charging a lot of money to fix or upgrade several things wrong with a cart, but for something obviously simple like this to charge $400+ is just a con. Shop fees are shop fees, but there's no way replacing even an OEM MCOR should be $400.
Noticed the SC sticker. I’m in Augusta GA and looking for someone to work on my 2013 Precedent. It only goes at half speed, sputters, and runs the battery down quick.
This did not work on our 2010 precedent. Ours stops and brakes when we let off the pedal. If we are driving at full throttle, it does not stop. We have replaced the MCOR, the speed sensor, and the Solenoid with diode. I have a toggle forward reverse switch on order. I don't know what else to try if that doesn't work.
Had a similar issue with my '13 Precedent. Called the shop I have purchased parts from previously, who suggested it is likely either the solenoid or MCOR. I bought a new OEM solenoid and he threw in a MCOR made in China for free. I was told if it was the MCOR, to purchase an OEM one because the ones made in China stop working after a few months. It ended up being the solenoid, so I never had to replace the MCOR.
Ive had some to last me over a year and ive had some last me a couple weeks. Its really hit or miss with them. But $35 is a gamble some are willing to take. My golf cart WLKNTALL has an oem on it. I paid over $150 for it.

Hi could you possibly help me? I’m having trouble 36 volt ezgo. Txt pds. I fried my controller and don’t know what else to check? New solenoid and new controller. When I turn the key on press forward or reverse and press on the pedal the motor runs for 3 seconds and controller pops. The reverse buzzer works but won’t run after the pop. I have checked my wiring and battery volts, ITS, micro switch. Honestly checked everything and about to pull my hair. When I got the cart all the electrical was cut out down to a bare frame. The motor tested and works . Can you help me? Thank you.
I noticed you live in South Carolina do you fix golf carts? I bought Club Car 4 years ago and would like get working it had all new battery 4 years ago problem starting I was told
I am hoping this is what is my issue. Randomly stopped driving like you stated, sometimes would go in reverse, and sometimes not. I just ordered one and in a couple days I will let you know if it worked. I had this issue for a year, now it pretty much will not work at all.
I have same cart as this one and with my batteries charged it will only go 6mph peddle all the way down. I have had it take off for a sec like it wanted to go faster but then goes back to 6 mph. Never dies out. Could this be mcore as well or something else. Thanks for all your great videos
Could be the speed sensor is bad on the side of the motor. That is another cheap fix. I havent had one do that yet to me so I havent made a video. But you can get this speed magnet to gain a few extra mph as well - amzn.to/45miDTr

I have a 2005 president, I needed to adjust the brakes the other day and noticed the 2 wire plug wires were striped about 1/4" and twisted together (not cut) and plug in the emcor. What do you think the reason for that is? ✌🏻
The two wire plug is just a micro switch that tell the controller you are actually pressing the pedal. I think it's the most common failure. I have one similar and I just put the cart in neutral and pop the pedal a couple times to clean the contacts and it works for a couple weeks. One day I'll replace it. You can break it open and replace the micro switch.
Ryan-i have a 2008 DS with this issue. Do you know where i find the MCOR for that aged cart? i looks like the part you linked is for a newer cart. thanks bud
I'd suggest an mcor 4 conversion my 99ds 48v has the conversion my mcor just died today but it's such a good upgrade and easy to install and rather cheap for the whole kit
Haven't heard you comment on this yet in the video so apologies if you did. But do you notice a reliability difference between the aftermarket mcors and a oem one?????
I have a 2014 EZGO TXT electric cart. If i am at dead stop and press gas pedal to floor it loses all power . I just changed to lithium batteries . Could there be some type of protection form power surge causing loss of power ? Thanks
Did you ever figure out what the issue was? I have the same exact problem. I swapped to lithium batteries. Everything ran great but after about four months, it cuts out whenever I step on the gas and I have to reset the battery.
I had a problem with power drop-outs, but it would only last 1-2 seconds, usually going up a hill, and sometimes when starting from a dead stop. I replaced the speed sensor and the drop-outs went away... and the cart speed went way up. MCOR replacement looks very easy... wondering if I should do that as well?
Had this issue many times. Most of the time its the sensor. Not to say it couldn't be the MCOR, but I check out the sensor first. Less expensive fix to. If MCOR, don't buy cheap China crap. Always buy OEM. More money, but will last
My mcor 4 conversion on my 99ds 48v just went today it would bog down randomly then be fine for days or just click when I push the pedal but no movement so I suspect the mcor as now it just clicks and refuses to move pack voltage is at 52v full charge time to order up an mcor I guess 😢
Just bought a club car precedent 2016 with lithium. My pedal always works but it bucks or surges up to 3/4 pedal. At full speed it is smooth but when trying to go slow it lurches like it accelerates then cuts power over and over again. Could this also be an mcor?
Thank you so much. My parents club car us doing this and I am trying to fix. It is a 1999. I can't find a part for a 99. Also does the part go by a different name. Many thanks, Lydia 4/17/24
For a 1999 they should have a club car ds which is the older body style cart and in my opinion the best looking cart. On that cart the MCOR will be located on the passenger side under the cart on the frame rail. It will be a black box mounted to the frame rail. If you look down there and there isnt anything, then they might have a Vglide under the seat on the drivers side. It will be shaped like a slice of pizza and will be black as well. They are only on the drivers side under the seat mounted on top of the frame. If its a v glide then you need to know if its a sepex cart with a push button fnr switch or manual turn lever. There are 2 different types.
Hi Ryan, I spoke to soon, I just installed the new MCOR and it’s still doing the same thing, starts to go but then dies, forward and reversing. Any thoughts or suggestions?
If you have a 98 club car then you have a ds. The mcor location on a ds is on the passenger side frame rail under the passenger side of the cart. If it doesnt have the ds then you have a vglide and its under the seat on the drivers side frame rail. It will be a 1/4 round plastic box shaped like a slice of pizza. the ezgo one is under the floor mat, pull up the metal cover and then pull up the plastic lid. Its called a ITS Inductive Throttle Sensor.
