    Absolutely riveting.
Hard to believe Bogdanovich is 80!
He sounds like the coolest, youngest octogenarian in history.
    What a story!
Told by a truly legendary storyteller.

I waited on Bogdanovich once at an airport and saw him introduce a film years later, and he didn't disappoint as, with a pronounced ascot (or so I thought) and an urbane, calm demeanor, he was the Peter Bogdanovich you'd hope to see.

Peter is always interesting to listen to. Having Orson Welles as a mentor and friend is fine food for the mind.

16:00 Peter's father obviously bought into the early (1900's) Listerine marketing campaign, it was first advertised as a cure for dandruff. Eventually it evolved into a cure for bad breath. Someone once said, "if at first you don't succeed...."

There are many things to like about Peter Bog: his sharing of his knowledge of film history. His interviews of iconic directors. And a number of his films. For me the one downside is his character. The carelessness and egotism of dating a married woman while he was married. The total disregard of Dorothy's husband. And disregard of his own wife. The blindness of seeing of not seeing that he was playing with fire. That his cuckolding of D's husband might have consequences. One cannot justify murder. But in a sense Peter brought about D's losing her life. And he is lucky that her husband committed suicide. He is lucky that her husband didn't blow his brains out too.

Enough has been said about a man whoss major successes were largely due to Polly Platt; enough has been said about this deeply misogynistic person, who was notorious for his fetishism of very young women. How about you do a series on Polly Platt, or the countless women geniuses who were cast off and overshadowed by men who owe their success to them.
    Of course not.
