I'm only 14 and live in Oregon but have been watching your videos for a very long time. someday I hope to get a boat and do a ton of ocean fishing here. love you man.
I remember when I was about your age and my stepdad was stationed at Ft. Lewis. Used to love going out to the sound to fish and catch crabs. It's way different than down in the gulf, but still a ton of fun. You should sucker your parents into a trip down to oregon to dig clams.
Same
He’s living the dream ain’t he
i live in the same place he fishes. Find a way down here and ill take you offshore bro. reading this back it's kinda suspicious but oh well
Follow your dreams man I hope to be on a boat one day too!
I’m a simple man, I see a BamaSaltwater new video notification. I click on it.
Always!!!
Me too brother...these vids bring back memories
@@PolochAngriff me too.
Love it!! Appreciate the support!
Bama, you haven't changed from day one. You're one of the few real ones. Thank you for all the awesome content. Stay safe brother, and enjoy everyday!
How do you not have 1 million subscribers? If you ever get there please don't change. God Bless.
Always a good day when Bama uploads.

Hello Bama Steve this is Brian living in Grand Bay learning the area I'll see you out there I hope spend lots of time in Bayou la batre
Another amazing video! Thanks Steve! 😎👍
Fighting a shark with one hand and trying to unhook it with the other. That's some next level s**t right there!
Haha!! IKR. kinda funny looking back at it
Stephen you're videos are outstanding from beginning to end. Consumate professional, relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for what you do. Rock on and God bless
My husband and I love to watch your videos because we are in our '70s now and we don't get to go fishing like we used to do when we were younger. My mother taught me how to clean fish when I was a little girl so I am not squeamish about knowing what the fish is eating I find it very interesting😊
Man, I love your videos so much. I always wish I could catch some many fish like you we’re getting the boat soon so I’m gonna try to get some spots and try to catch some big fish like you. You’re just a great inspiration to me. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for your service.
Thank you for your positive comment!!! Tight lines!! Get out there and slay em!!
I love watching you cap , that cobia was eating so much . No wonder he got so stud like
OMG you were like a magician pulling handkerchiefs out of his pocket with those digested croker lol
Man I’m from south alabama, over in Atmore. It’s awesome seeing such an awesome RUclips channel so close to home! Definitely my favorite by far! I’ve learned more about fishing these last few days since I’ve found your channel, than I have in years
Cobia and Grouper are the tastiest fish in the sea. Major score. Congrats!
Definitely up there for sure!! Thank you!!
Thanks for always taking us along for the ride love your videos man
Man your a beast!! Your fishing gapping and filming!!! Your the man!!🤯🤯💪🏾💪🏾💯💯
The catch, clean and cook videos are the best. Thank you for the awesome entertainment.
Jeremy Wade made a dehooker out of a piece of PVC pipe, looked like it worked really good.
I love these catch, clean, and cook video's, learn something every time!!
12 croakers!INCREDIBLE!You are truly a gem ,for aspiring fishermen. This is why we watch!
Excellent video, Stephen! Love the catch and cook! Thanks for sharing this with us! Stay Safe and God Bless!
Thank you!! God Bless!!
I used to fish off Gulf Shores and Orange Beach back in the 80's and 90's and I caught a LOT of fish including some strange things down deep but never a ling. Congrats on an excellent catch. Hopefully one day I can at least taste one.
I watch your videos all the time, just wanted to say I really enjoy them and hopefully someday soon I will be living in Alabama, thank you for your service!!! God Bless you and your family!
You're a frickin' machine man. Can't believe how much quality content you crank out brother. Keep on livin' the dream. You're killing it.
Thank you!! I just love to fish and also love sharing the experience and efforts with friends/family!
One of your best videos yet! Cobia catch and cook was soooo educational and looked amazing! Thanks…always enjoy your channel!
If someone had said I would EVER watch a fishing video I would've said no way, but you my guy have changed my entire perspective lol! I look forward to your next time's so much it is crazy and always find myself smiling at the screen. I enjoy ya so much and feel like I could actually do alot more than I could in years past! Say hi to the fam and that was an awesome and educational clean and cook, I don't know how you do it, but it was interesting!! Have a great day!
Awesome to hear!! Thanks for sharing!!! It's an amazing resource we have that I love experiencing and sharing with others!! Tight lines and God Bless!
Just got off from a successful day at work. I see the new video notification, about to kick back and end the night in the best way!!
Ive done mostly alpine fly fishing, and I always started the day pulling up rocks to look for insect life, and ended each day (hopefully) examining the contents of stomachs to learn what the fish were eating.
You are darn right, its educational! I learned as much from my autopsies as I've ever learned from videos....no offense meant.
Channels like this are the next-best thing to having a dad that will teach you, but emptying stomachs is learning directly from the fish what they like.
Let's get it brudda 💪
I lived in Daphne many years ago, and kept my boat in Orange Beach. I absolutely loved the gulf and fishing in the Bay. We used to go catch huge Jacks in the Turnaround Basin, but had the most fun out around the oil platforms. You are living the good life my friend. Enjoy it!!
That Cobia collar would have made an amazing taco. I am very jealous.
I agree on that one !! Thank you!
I discovered your videos looking for a “how to” while on vacation in O.B. We got lucky enough to catch you at the dock yesterday. Was a pleasure meeting you and we appreciate your service! Hoooaaah
great video, I have never been a fish eater but your catch, clean and cook videos makes me think I need to start, it always looks so good, thank you and keep em coming
My wife insisted that she did not like seafood. We moved to Florida, and I brought home some mangrove snapper, filleted, dipped in seasoned butter, and grilled them. I insisted that she be a good example for our toddler daughter, and eat the fish appreciatively regardless of her distaste.
She took one bite, looked me right in the eyes and said something to the effect that maybe she had never eaten real fish before.
I am a firm believer that there is a fish for nearly every person. There are many species I don't care for, and many that I do.
Try snapper, grouper, swordfish, or triggerfish. If you don't like one of those, I would be shocked.
Cobia are like a Blue Cat times 10.Amazing strength.
l love your explanations of your rig and the hooking placement.More channels should focus on instruction,as you do.Great Channel.
I love that now you’re making more contents combined from different days. That’s really good appreciate appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
Man…that’s was fantastic! Nice cobia! You’re right, they are splendid to eat. And that meal you prepared, looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing it all with us. Always enjoy your channel!
It was absolutely delicious and cant wait to make it again! That sweetness of the peppers with the freshness of the cobia was amazing!
I thank the good Lord above for your video. That cobia is making my mouth water. Fresh fish every day. Yummy!
Keep going. Your awesome at what you are doing! You should have 50 million subscribers. Keep doing you though 🎣🎣🎣
Great video Stephen. Very educational concerning the contents of the Cobia stomach.
I just binge watched like 3 years of your content. You’re very pleasant to watch and listen to! Great fishing.
that was me a year ago. been on the uploads ever since
5th times the charm.! Thanks for sharing your adventures and as always "Tight Lines and Full Limits To Ya"
People that hunt, fish and farm eat like royalty. City living can usually only get these meals if they pay, usually high prices. Growing up, we raised hogs, cattle and usually had 2 gardens. Most of us, 4 boys, we all hunted and fished. Many people would pay a small fortune for a meal we had just on any Tuesday. Great videos
The time, effort, and enthusiasm into naturally harvesting your meal can really make it an amazing experience and flavor that one cannot ever replicate!! I love it. Thank you!
Yo I heard it’s dangerous to go out in the gulf by yourself you should take me 😂😂😂❤
🤣
As a disabled vet, i;d love to come fishing with you and get into some biggins. Otherwise i;ll just keep living vicariously through your videos. hahaha keep the vids coming brathaaaa.
Man, that sure looks good
My man I watched the full video and it is awesome 👌 thanks and in joy it. From east coast Florida 👍
watching your videos while i am here in greece going out everyday catching seabass on #20 treble hooks and pellets🤣
I'm from Medford OR and love watching your videos 💯 your one of the best ❤❤❤❤
Gotta say Bama, a slow scudgy day here south of Oakland just got a.lot more interesting thanks to this video. Good job.
Hey buddy,
My dad showed me your page. We’ve had a house on west beach since 59’, but live in New Orleans. Huge fishing and hunting culture in my family, Dad is currently fishing a 26’ Calcutta out of myrtle grove. My child hood best friend runs charters out of Venice.
As someone who grew up fishing not only east and west of the MS River, but little lagoon and GS as well. Recently rebuilt our families’ place on west beach and was not only interested in potentially doing a charter with you, but maybe doing some surf fishing down on west beach and host you at my place. Fisherman to fisherman would love to pick your brain, you really seem to have the surf fishing dialed in and that’s something that’s always been the most foreign to me.
Either way you gained a subscriber and I love your content, keep it coming brother!
AWESOME video... only fished a handful of times in the ocean. appreciate you going through the cleaning process also.
I had to learn the hard ways about cobra. I was snatching and jerking with the gaff. I learned from an old timer to just stick it on the side and let them ride into it. Kinda let em roll into it. It's hard enough with someone else and even harder by yourself. Badass catch buddy 😊
Sandbars and Bulls have been bad on our side of the Gulf also. They have stole a lot of red snapper from us this year. Really nice Cobia! Keep up the great work!
I love watching your videos and I was just saying I saw your brother at hooked up and if you see him lately I would appreciate if you told him thank you for being so nice god bless
He's a man of very little words but extremely knowledgeable and helpful!! Happy you got to meet him!! God Bless!
@@BamaSaltwater yes thank you
16:09 Maybe I’m wrong but I appreciate first the swell report I’ve heard on your channel.
Hey bam from San Diego California
Hey man I just want fishing in gulf shores Al after leaving your store and one of your employees helped me out so much thanks for making these videos and healping me catch and eat my first pompano
Love hearing this excited it’s been a minute let’s go beautiful fish.
missed your last two videos because i was in hawaii!! went fishing offshore and caught my first ever blue marlin after 8 hours of no luck (except for a barracuda but you know them things!) i am catching myself up and gotta say that was an amazing cobia... hopefully me and my dad can go out on our boat back in the familiar gulf waters!! keep it up!!!
Great video! Thank you. I liked and subscribed.
You’re a good man and a great fisherman. Thank you for the video.
Bama a few nights ago I had a dream I got to meet you
Love the respect you have for the ocean and the knowledge you share. Subscribed.
Collar of tuna is delish, too!
Another excellent video. I'm landlocked up here in Missouri but I'll get back to the gulf someday. Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos!
Hey steven, i love your videos, ive been a fan for atleast several years now and your videos have taught me alot on what im doing (mobile!!) i cant thank you enough, and recently ive been going through a tough time, these videos help me alot
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Love the fishing videos and content.
We need to build you a dock and boat lift.
Thank you!! and one day!!!!!!
Congrats on the cobia. One of my favorite eating fish
You should do a crabbing vid your always talking about it. keep catching man!!
I've been looking forward to this one! I feel you on interval being more important than wave height. Lake Erie is generally between 2.5-3.5 seconds and even 3 foot waves make it an unpleasant ride.
You truly are living the dream man!!
Love your videos! GREAT fish! Your living the dream my friend! Keep making these awsome videos
Insane gafing
hehe, it was a tough one this time! lol
Saw your cobia video, nice one ! I've wrestled many 40 and fifty pounders in the boat on days I forgot gaff. It is a job. Usually in Port Royal sound or st.helena, or maybe the wreck keep on fishing friend!
Hahah the face when you tried it. I can just tell it was so good. Great catch 👍🏻
It's too hard to fake it ! Haha, it was delicious for sure
Nice catches
Ship needs painting too……..
OBTW, fire up the fish cooker, Mama😀🐟😀
Do what mama says Steven 👍🏻
my bf said your cool as heck dude
Really enjoyed this one. The fish looked outstanding.
Awesome job I'm not sure which I would enjoy more coming and fishing with ya or coming for a meal. 😂 Man had me over here drooling
The way that rod handled the shark completely sold me on it.
Welcome to the bama saltwater express
Love your channel man! You always put out great content. Love that purple and gold set up you used to catch that awesome Cobia… Geaux Tigers! Continued Blessings.
Hehe ;) Thanks!
You needed a Partner on that Cobia For Sure... I usually lose a nice one like that when fishing Solo... Never saw a "Cobia Collar" cooked before.! Bama Saltwater catches Fish! Great Video. Well Done!
Thank you! I like to keep it honest and real, I am a great gaffer but this one was tough haha!
Nice vid
Dude love your channel my favorite. Please move your grill and table under the tree that provides that beautiful shade, behind you!
Roll tide that looking great I seen some pictures of pier today and it looks great can't wait great job on fish see you there 😀
Those Cobia are tanks! We got lucky enough one day to get 3. We were dropping white bait down for 30 minutes trying to get theme switched over to a pin fish, first drop, bam! Second drop, bam! They for whatever reason love those pin fish when they are in shallow. I suppose same as those croakers, a lot more active, swim down and such.
What a battle! That was a huge cobia!
Delicious…awesome video!
Great content,,,thanks for sharing 👍🏻🎣
Living the dream man. Love the videos.
That lemonfish was a chow hound! Probably should be called Croaker Eater! He sure was green! To me, fishing is about fellowship… Someone to talk with, celebrate life, and of course, to gaff feisty fish!
The best eating fish in the ocean. Followed closely by the amber jack. In my humble opinion.
Seriously look for a Bama Saltwater release on a Saturday! Awesome Cobia brother! Probably up there with mahi or grouper for best tasting! Catch clean cook looks amazing! Congrats on the catch and glad you got back safe albeit wet! Thanks for sharing with us! Tight lines!
That's it... I'm buying me a shipping container freighter and anchoring up by cobia and buying a bunch of skurz.
Loved the video of catch, cook and clean. I would like to make one recommendation and it is a safety item especially since you have been thrown out of a boat on a previous episode please wear a life jacket. I fish by myself a good bit and I have an inflatable jacket it is comfortable to wear and I wear it just about all the time. Once again great video and good fishing.
Nice catches... amazing how many fish in that belly... crazy!
Your triple tail video inspired me to go today. Had fresh blackened triple tail this evening.
My brother that was a great catch and cook
Thank you! It still makes my mouth water lol!
Wow. Can’t believe that line and rod held that fish
