I just score a 96 ITR full swap for $2500 with faulty exhaust valves on 2 &3 cylinder or it could just be the headgasket but most likely valves. Still a sweet deal.
Good information and simple explanations in your videos. That is what I love about them. Still a killer deal on this with a trans! Hopefully it is OK. Would love to see the same IDing on the trans since I have been burned on a few "B16" trans. I know you have to take it apart to really tell.
Still a smoking deal on the B16! I've looked at core short blocks that are in the $1500-$1800 range. It really makes me kick myself for selling all my Honda stuff in the mid 2000s.
The block should have a green vin tag if it's a B16A2 on the front of the engine right before the oil pan. If it's missing we can assume it's stolen hence why the good deal. Let's hope I'm wrong.
Time for a valve job, MLS gasket, ARP's, maybe a light mill and a magnaflux. It's tough to take people for their word nowadays. So many liars out there. Still, $500 isn't horrible for a long block. Parts are pretty affordable and certainly plentiful for these so it probably wouldn't hurt to throw some cams in it while you're there and maybe some valves/ springs/ retainers. 😎👍🤘
@@addvancedgarage Yeah that'd be what a B18C5?? My buddy had a DC2 Teg with a built C5 with a 66 series tubski strapped to it, out down like 750whp LOL
Many times while wrenching, sawing, or hammering, if something doesn't go right, you will find that it was because you weren't holding your mouth right.
500 for a b16a2 long block with bad valve. Not a bad deal actually. A b16 head can run for that much even more these days. Have fun I loved my old ef 16a. Fun car for hill climbs

Yeah, I'm going to pull it apart to find out, unfortunately the ID/Vin plate thing has been removed so I have no idea what it is.
Half-time PBR deliveries are always recommended when scoping your holes!
That's what I appreciates about her
Hmm 🤔 aren’t you supposed to check valve lash first on these before you do a leak down? Someone correct me if I’m wrong
