LYRICS:
Would you like to take this magic potion with me
On a trip to a cosmic playground far beyond
She understands, she's been before
It's in her hands to find the door
Sweet Lorraine let the party carry on
You and I will swim the sea
Sweet Lorraine let the party carry on
You and I can feel the breeze
There is no time, no wealth only I surround you
The fortune of this guide is simply sincerity
She understands 'cause she's been before
It's in her hands to find the door so
Sweet Lorraine let the party carry on
You and I will swim the sea
Sweet Lorraine let the party carry on
You and I can feel the breeze

I first discovered Uriah Heep in 2010 working at a lumberyard with this vietnam vet. He told me to meet him at his jeep during lunchbreak. I though surely no good will come of this. But lo and behold he had this album in the stereo and played this track for me. Its 14 years later and hes been gone for 10, but this track always brings me back to that summer day at the lumberyard
As much as I love this version, at this tempo, I will always believe the live version from the black double album was the ultimate version. That awesome stinger ending, with Mick Box’s wah-wah pedal screaming away, was magic. Nothing better!
Agreed. Uriah Heep had a power and electricity in concert that was never really captured on their studio recordings.
The heep lives forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE this song
I just turned 60, do the math, and I remember this song from the 70s, from my mom. Love It!!!!!!!
I'm 63. My friends and I wore my friend's copy of this album out one summer!
😂just turn 61 and still playing every chance🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Cool me too - in a couple weeks! And my name is Lorraine! 😃
65 y/o here. This original album came with a pair of glasses, 2 lenses, one red, one blue, simple plastic, that made the album cover 3-D. No shit, it was great. Look it up. Rock on!
😂😉👍👊you just- don't? - hear of that kinda thing anymore 🤦♂️🤦♀️
Dude seriously???....wow!!.. I'm sure it was bad ass.🤘😎
😊61 y/o here. I got album (Mercury/Bronze) The Best of Uriah Heep in summer of 1979.
Aww I'm 65 years old too and remember this group and their music so well too.
I can't think of any era that had better music than the 70s did. I love it and I always will.
I actually heard this song on the radio the other day. I was mesmerized and thought back to when radio was so good.
The vocals fit the music like a glove
Sweet synthesizer waves. Hensley is a genius of arrangement. Killer bass too
The bass is the song!
@@keithgomarac3860 Gary Thain on bass. There was no one like him.
I just lost my step father last night due to a heart attack and this was his favorite song. R.I.P. Carl
Sorry for your loss that's terrible.
Oooooooooohhhhhh So sorry for your loss
Une époque ou les musiciens faisaient de LA MUSIQUE 😀😉👍👍👍👍👍
My first rock concert..... August 1974.... Pittsburgh Civic arena..... A concert I'll never forget
My GOD this song brings back some memories!! They just don't make music like this anymore.
One of the BEST
Awesome!!
M A G I C !!!!!!...............
I thank this band was way ahead of the time in this decade70s 4:16 4:16
Sweet sound of a magical band , Great 🌪️💕
It's ironic you're name is Emanuele: I thought this track to be reminiscent of a cheap 70's cannibal movie, like Emanuelle in the Jungle!
I don't know why this band wasn't popular in us
Popular in us in
Porque es demasiado bueno para este mundo
The lady who ran the record store where I got the album The Best
of Uriah Heep in 1979 was actually my first grade teacher's daughter and I didn't even know it until we were talking which is actually important because the first grade teacher taught me how to read, among other things.
I'm French and as you might now, Lorraine is a Region in eastern France, which in the 70's was mostly famous for its heavy steel industry, coal mines etc. and as I was 13 at the time I discovered Uriah Heep and loved that song, i always wondered why the band found Lorraine so sweet... Later, I learned English and also discovered that Lorraine had much more to offer than just factories and power plants.. ( which anyway since that time almost fully disappeared).
I'm infatuated with French culture especially the women.
Favorite Heep song❤
Easy living too
Woke up humming this, don't know why 😂
Обожаю Uriah Heep!
Эх, юность моя...
I was madly in love with a sweet Lorraine at high school ❤
but you're a lorraine?
Their best song. Total magic.
Stealin!
I started college last year, and I would listen to this song every morning during my commute to my college campus. It's been my favorite song since I first heard it on the radio.
groovy
Pure bliss !!!
Love this so much reminds me of becoming an adult
Really nice and amazing song 🎵. Thyne sounds are great 👍. Awesome ❣️. Love it. From japan.
I saw them live in 1973 and this song has always been my favorite!
I have this album at home 🏡 in SW FLORIDA it was in a box 📦 stored Long term at family home ( mom's) along with Sabath, Brothers and Sisters. Etc. I had to purchase a new turntable 😂❤
My favorite Uriah Heap, song! They did a decent job on the remaster. I still have my original Uriah Heap "Demons and Wizards" Album, mint condition and I refuse to part with it! 💕
Bassist Gary Thain was from New Zealand.
Uriah Heep at their best!!!
Great tune, could have been written for my red headed sister: the fastest wit in the west, and more fun than a box of kittens!
Monster rockers!!!

in keyboard solo section, two Minimoogs recorded separately in left and right channel - it sounds great in stereo. Killer bass part too, quite sophisticated

Enter Ken Hensley on funny sounding keyboard in 1972
Good Old Fashioned Boneing Music LOL
Those firsts seconds.....Beneath the synth waves is hiding....
John Lennon stole this melody for Woman!!!
And very unfortunately multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ken Hensley has recently died 😭😭😭
