Could you make a video explaining how those auctions you go to work? For those of us that have never been to one. My only impression is what ive seen in movies/tv shows
Hey George, just found you. I totally agree about the way charity shops are going. One person said well, we are a good cause, so I said what I always say: yes, but you're losing sight of your target shopper, who is generally on a low income. Clothes In particular are crazy prices now. Anyway, keep going, great vid!
Do you ever get any negative reactions from charity shops when you check for prices on eBay etc? Also do you think the reason for price hikes is because they may be doing the same?
Hey Michelle, I use Parcel2go.com which automatically uploads eBay and Amazon orders to the system so I don't have to type out the buyers details. They compare all the courier companies so I just choose the cheapest 😁
Stories read aloud yeah on auction mainly they go for that and people that underprice them also if you put that its the same lens as the mju ii in the title it will help when you do completed click BIN most people dont then get BIN price mixed up with auction prices and every one know auctions go for less 99% of the time
Yes 2 different shops, 1 for UPS & the other for Hermes. They're literally round the corner to me and a 30 second drive apart from one another which is really handy
I went to some charity shops in West Wickham on Monday. They wanted £20 for some battered old Converse that we would normally pay £1-2 at the boot fair. I spent 2 hours and £0 pounds.
@Profit Tracker wow, this store would want like £25-£30 for them. Their prices are usually more than what the item would cost new but you know you're never going to get a bargain when they want £6 for a Leonardo mug that was apparently rare but you could get the same one on ebay for £3.99 new and sealed with a coaster
@Profit Tracker I think it depends on what your looking for i try a bit of everything but my knowledgeable subject is antiques and my 16 year old daughter has fantastic knowledge on antiques the Victorian era is her world! she knows every hallmark on silver gold etc and every crest on porcelain.
Living the grind!! Love your videos, your advice and now I have an appreciation of how hard the grind is. Take care.
Instablaster...
I enjoyed watching ur videos
We had his and hers Polos back in the day 😊 husband had a blue metallic Polo Ranger and I had a dark blue Polo van- they were lovely little cars ❤
Wow! I’d love a classic VW like this! Other things on our priority list though lol
Where do you get all the cardboard for posting your items?
Just ask supermarkets / shops etc some will give it to you no problem and free
hello George, have you got any tips/directories/websites etc. that you use to find out sales, auctions, boot sales around you. Thanks Matt
Hey Matt I just simply use Facebook & Google to search for them

Thanks Jacqui, yes they really need to watch their pricing as they’ll end up losing money for their causes!
😃😃😃😃
How much did the vw breadvan go for?
Didn’t go in the end so didn’t find out. Will ask when I go there next.
Do you go to the independent charity shops? Near me there are a few and the prices tend to be lower. They also have a great following from the locals.
There's the small one I went to where I got the cricket shirt from but that's about it for independent cs around here

(watches video) OMG I need one of those 11:41 Toolbox on wheels they go for around £30 I wonder how much it was in there...
Thanks for posting, how do you choose whether to post DPS, Hermes, or Royal Mail? Thanks

RIP Barry Chuckle
That buzz is amazing!! I have a massive toy story collection so I prob would have fallen oven and jump on that buzz if I'd seen it! Nice find!
He’s quite cool isn’t he! He’s in really bad shape though and even the battery compartment is rusted to bits because they left the batteries in! 😞
The olympus af-1 that you picked up in the auction i have had quite a lot and get £50-£75 for it
yeh i cried a little when he left that
Just goes to show I don’t know everything lol. No doubt that lot would have gone for eBay money anyway
Just had a look, they go for about 20

@@peterhill2881 That's an interesting point, disregarding auctions, they are temporary after all.
Did you post at different shops George at beginning of video
Yes 2 different shops, 1 for UPS & the other for Hermes.
They're literally round the corner to me and a 30 second drive apart from one another which is really handy
Plus the Hermes shop has a post box right outside which makes it even easier!
Saves a lot of money over the year instead of paying for collection
Cheers for the reply George

Yeah charity shops are getting harder and harder to source from!
i hate that barnardos last week they wanted £75 for a Calvin Klein backpack
Yeah it used to be so much better than it is now!

Oh my son use to love the wiggles surprised the price of that car
They always used to annoy me haha. Yeah it goes for silly money for what it is!
What's Bolo?
I was wondering too!
Be on the look out
Be
On the
Look
Out
Think of getting in to FBA, is it easy to start up, moving from just eBay to FBA?
It's easy to sign up but to actually send in a shipment of items is quite a minefield
The original Wiggles retired a couple of years ago, so that must be why the older stuff is sought after.
Thanks for the info Jacqueline!
@@RetroReselling Also, good call on leaving the wigs, they were both in really poor condition.
Did you buy the VW?
I didn't no 👎😪
What does BOLO mean? 🤔
Kevin's covered it 👍
