Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová with their band, The Swell Season. Excerpts from their outdoor concert in Denver, Colorado, on August 20, 2023. They won the 2008 Oscar Academy Award for their song "Falling Slowly" that was featured in the 2007 movie "Once." If you were there, you know about the "fence man", a fan who was invited in and offered a beer by Glen. You also heard about the story of Markéta pretending to be in an invisible car in a Starbucks drive-through. The lawn audience got a special treat when Glen and Markéta ran out to them for one of their songs. It was an incredible evening.
