They said they’ve been planning this since they started development, and when you think about that, it makes sense, the backpack tool, the two revamped buildings in the town and this new update where all the furniture is cheap. They also said there will be a catalog where you can buy houses so there goes the creativity part, and when you look at what happened with erlc, when it was paid access it was a great game, free to play brought bots and noobs, etc.

For anyone worried, and are willing to read this, Bloxburg is definitely not going to become brookhaven. Brookhaven is all about the roleplaying rather than game mechanics, while bloxburg is more like the sims (in a sense of building, working, etc etc). We already have prebuilt houses too, they just haven't been updated. If the prebuilt houses do go free then it'll probably be better for new players anyways because once you begin the game you really don't have any money, so the other prebuilt houses are useless. If you don't want random kids on your plot, then you can block everyone in the server (That is an option, you know!) The nice thing about bloxburg is that it's one of a kind. There can be copies of the game, but there will never be another game like it. Online daters and trolls are more taken care of now adays within the roblox management. There is no voice chat either, so you don't have to worry about being screamed at by 5 year olds. When it comes to games, younger children aren't going to go to bloxburg immediately. I'm sure everything will be fine (plus, beta players get perks)

I’ve been saying this, they can not refund roblox there wayyy to many peolpe and little kids most likely are gonna play for like 10 mins because it’s a harder game and it’s more targeted towards older kids and teens . yes, but the respect that the bloxburg community have for other players will be gone. and we will have people trying to break into our houses, servers will be flooded, chats will be full of not good stuff and the game will just be an overall mess. with it becoming free, the tendency is that there will be a lot of absurd game passes and lambos being released

I remember the game having 100k players and now having 10-40k. It would rlly help the game get a population boost. But it’s not going free today so if we can prepare. I have the trap doors ready

Respect won't be a problem, within the management and people, I can tell you that right now and be 100% positive about it. The management doesn't just take any idea and throw it in the game, as the said in the official video. People are making this a huge deal, which it is, but for all the wrong reasons

Why does every game I play always make bad decisions? bloxburg was just fine being paid...
I have a feeling that it's not because of bloxburg's nearing completion. Their reason might be that the player count is decreasing... it might be because the updates have been... um, not sufficient to keep people playing. Like the most recent one.

Yeah thats true. The player count use to be idk like around 80k? (Idk thats what i saw once). Now it’s down to 20k.
The updates have only gotten better in quality, its now due to the lack of community within the game, all servers are dead in the chat and people who play are only ever 1. building for hours on end or 2. joining for like 10 minutes to see the new updates
well the game is in beta anyway so thats why we paid for the game but hopefully eventually they settle down but...i dont want it free either

I hate how everyone is being so negative I feel like this is a good thing. When I was younger I wanted to play Bloxburg so bad and I could not play because my mom did not have a dollar to spare on a "game". Bloxburg is not going to become noisy there are only 12 people per server and everyone is over-exaggerating. If I was still that little kid who didn't have Bloxburg I would be ecstatic to hear this. I think making it more accessible will provide a lot of people with joy and bring the limits of Bloxburg to new heights. Most of these cheats have stopped and are usually banned I have never seen bloxburg get hacked and I have been playing since 2018 so you don’t need to worry!!🩷

Why is the bloxburg community so elitist?
The double standards are insane. People complain about the game being dead, and bloxburg has a solution that will bring hundreds of thousands if not millions more to the game, and people aren’t happy about it? Not every person who spends real money on a digital currency is a troller or a hacker.
You’re all acting as if there weren’t already exploiters and people trying to break into your house before hand. At this point, just say you hate poor people.
Also, expecting some kind of “gift” because you spent $0.31 / 25p on a game is also insane. People need to be more mature about this. Personally I’m really excited as not everyone has the opportunity to spend money on a game currency, so the more accessible, the better.

A suggestion for when adding the tutorial: It would be good if the tutorial wouldn't only be displayed when joining bloxburg the first time. Maybe make it possible that you can do it again, whenever you like - so that when people don't know what to do they can always look back into it! :D

Bloxburg has always been in beta, and betas were destined to be free at some point, the paid version is only for beta testers/early access so that people can give feedback about the game, you paid for the early access you got the early access
I hope that when it becomes free the players evolve like in Warrior Cats Ultimate Edition- When that game became free there were lots of “Luna’s” aka “drowns but my powers save me” kind of players. But over time, the players became more advanced- better, to where there are hardly any “Luna’s” anymore. And knowing the kids in brookhaven, they would probably give up when they find out they *have* to work.

For every person saying this is the worst update in bloxburg history:
1- You payed for EARLY ACCESS to the game so dont say you payed for nothing.
2- Having more people in the game can actually be more fun (most of the servers are dead😑).
3-The most important thing: This game was supposed to be free since the beggining. People payed to play in BETA. Now that its finished they can finally open the game so more people can play it.
4- Just because its finished doesnt mean it wont get more updates.

a thing bloxburg is different from games such as brookhaven, adopt me, and mm2 is that the community is warm and welcoming. The requirement of paying 25 robux is kind of a shield that prevent any kids, hackers, and trollers to ruin the game. If they make the game free then there will be no protection and attracting people from other toxic communities, making the game very unkind and unfriendly to those who want to play normally.

In my opinion, I believe they should add separate servers after they make the game free on the main menu, Like standard servers, And a server that costs an additional one time payment of 25 Robux to enter or its free if you already paid for bloxburg.
Also unrelated but a feature I've wanted for so long is for players to be able to copy something from one plot and paste onto another that would be life changing

I am not against Bloxburg coming for free. Some peoples we say had to pay 25 Robux, but how much is 25 Robux? That's less than 1€ (I live in Belgium). I also paid 25 Robux and have not regretted it for a moment. It may even be good for the game, that it comes for free, because it gives people the opportunity to try the game, without paying for it. Today's players and future players, that includes creators and developers for the future. Bloxburg can be described in one word, GREAT!

I’ll admit that I’m disappointed, I definitely understand the players that are mad, most know they paid for the beta, but it’s been so many years I don’t blame them for being mad or confused. I am also excited to flex on the noobs.
I’ll give some pros and cons to this.
Pros:
Builders who like building for others have opportunities to build houses for the noobs.
Roleplaying will be more common, so people no longer have to look for public neighborhoods or have to wait long for neighborhoods or fear losing a plot if it’s a full neighborhood.
Since RPs will probably get more common, people with hotels, cafes and restaurants will get more customers.
Your bloxburg traps might fool way more people!
More people can mean that you can maybe manage to make more of differences with feedbacks and stuff to the developers.
Cons:
Inappropriate behavior will take longer to be terminated or noticed because it’s pretty crowded.
Begging and pestering will probably be way more common.
Trolls, maybe report your house for no reason or other similar things etc.
Usually even though you report, it will take time until exploiters can get banned or kicked out from the game.
More people will mean maybe laggier servers for people who have slower devices.
With the possible exclusion and bullying from older players, the new players are probably not gonna find much enjoyment in roleplaying, and while many also will be pretty new to the building font, expect at least half the new players to not enjoy building and therefore find the game kinda pointless.

Is there any way to make like a code or something where the game doesn't take up your device memory, or is it possible to make one or what? Cause that would be critical for bigger builds
They should add an attic gamepass just like the same as the basement except the ability to explore your attic and decorate it into a gaming room, bedroom, etc. Also with a attic door that goes on the ceiling that when opened, the door comes down then the ladder after. Also the ability to open windows and have windows with screens that you can also open. Lastly, I would love to see a working alarm system.

It's sad to know that they will make a game for free that was special because people used to play it with Robux, which means that people are already a little older and that when it becomes free, Children will come to ruin everything. There will be groups of strange people, and the game will become toxic. Anyway, I don't agree.
it will be nice to finally have some fresh players on bloxburg again tbh which with a map update being suggested for the future could mean more plots and more active servers
Servers have been really quiet recently, I dont see roleplay often everyone is either working or building so, in the best case, it will help bring back roleplay. Still worries me e daters, trolls, a los of people beggin for money and trying to get into your house and the fact that the servers are really small.
Mostly every normal server is full of builders. Honestly the only way you would get rollplayers if you get into a good normal server or into neighborhoods
If Bloxburg becomes free, I predict we’ll see rich Bloxburg accounts transfer money to new accounts.
In my opinion, this is unfair to everyone, because you’re going to see brand new accounts with a nicer house and car than those who are working for money.

i think it makes sense why theyre doing it tho, js the other day (i dont remember what time it was) i saw bloxburg had under 10k active players at one point. they prolly trying to get more ppl to play.
you make a great point, I’ve noticed a decrease in roleplays which was primarily what made bloxburg fun due to its interactive options with the furniture or appliances in general. Also, with everyone mostly being pre occupied with their builds, it’s pretty rare to see people chat in game
However, with this new update, I just feel that it would be a burden to deal with exploits, hackers or even new role players in bloxburg, sure, we could ignore/report them but it would take away the peacefulness we have right now
however this is just what I feel, it would be great if bloxburg added more features such as new locations or a bigger map before its release to the public
@@sxrs exactly!!! like i’ve played bloxburg for 4 years and have a ton of builds and money but i barely even play anymore bc there’s nothing to do and nobody chats. i literally js gave this girl $50k a couple minutes ago so she would want to keep talking to me 😭 new players could potentially fix this problem. and i mean every game is gonna have exploiters, it’s inevitable, but it prolly won’t “ruin” bloxburg

pay to play is acting like a filter against kids trollers and bad peoples im not saying there are not but this filter is just... essential for the game in my opinion,

Hopefully this brings less snobs into the game so i can actually play without people blocking me for knocking on their door or people ruining my hotel that i let them stay in for free

I honestly don't care if bloxburg is free or not, but I hoped that when bloxburg becomes free for the servers to increase the max player limit on each server and on neighborhoods too. Because if they don't it will become almost impossible to play on a neighboorhood because they will be all on max. Just my opinion I am open to hear other opinions❤.
