This whole album was a jam. Piece of my love & Goodbye love💜
Yes it was and still is. I remember when I first heard it at a friend's house for dinner and by the time the 3rd song came on, I was like "who IS this?" I was a fan from that moment on. New Jack Swing, yes!
Instablaster.
Guy's music was so popular back in the day and still is. Try out Groove Me where it looks like a it's a Party at an HCBU (Historically College Black University) or a Remix of Her. New Kids On The Block tried to jump on the "New Jack Swing" Movement with their Comeback Single "Dirty Dawg" but it flopped.
One of the most "New Jack" tracks I ever did hear..loving your reaction vids!! ❤
This jam came out in “88” I was 20 yrs. old so now you know my age, lol. Anyway, Guy are from my city NYC. Teddy Riley, is from Harlem (St. Nicolas Project) my old stomping grounds. Even though I’m from Brooklyn. Glad you liked that jam❤️!!!
1988 one of the best yrs in black music. A lot of great albums 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was only five that year so I have no idea what that year was truly like. I think 95 rivals it though. 94 and 88 are said to be the best years of hip hop.
These were considered to be the Kings of Pioneers of New Jack Swing. Teddy Riley also worked with Michael Jackson on Dangerous with Remember The Time, and other New Jack Swing Acts were Keith Sweat, and Bell Biv Devoe. Teddy Riley also was part of Blackstreet with No Diggity.
Nice reaction!
Piece Of My Love or Goodbye Love are two extra tite slow jams from this album and the best songs off of the 1988 Guy album in my mind.
This song would have me dancing in a freaking coma... for real, one of the few songs that would have made me lose my mind no matter where I was... especially if you can feel that bass... oh brother...
Guy goodbye love and round and round
Listen to the track Piece Of My Love off of the same album.
If doing new jack got to do some Bobby brown. Don’t be cruel, every little step, my prerogative, roni
Your facial expressions hahaha I hear you. 😂
I remember I learned the electric slide off this
Not the one older people slide their feet on. The one that young people would jump and bounce to. The energetic one. 😋 Philly just took that little dance and wore it out. 😐
U should do Aaron Hall solo. I miss you
Her reaction seems fake shes acting like she’s into the song. All her videos are the same it’s not genuine.
React to Guy - Let's Stay Together
Another classic by them
