I get almost identical measurements as you at every single step, to the millivolt almost, but then at the very end when I disconnect the jumper shorting out the AGC I get about 580 millivolts. I know it's only 220mv away from the .8v ideal, but I was curious why? Could it be that my resistance in the AGC circuit is a bit lower than the reference board at the factory was? Thank you! And amazing videos, I'm learning so much from you thank you!
This is a great, well presented video. Thank you. I do have a question regarding the synchronized filter steps... I notice that the connections on the IF coils invert between stages, is this to align the phases?
Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching Nick. Inversion has no effect on the signals in this system. However, in the FM radio the demodulator does have a phase reference for comparison so it can work correctly.
