I think the issue is that they are trying to turn a 2D game into a 3D game, in the original mega man you couldnt just run past all the normal enemies because its 2D and its harder to do than in 3D
Also those moving platforms suck

Mega Man X is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, this DLC is a poor imitation. They got a ton of little things wrong that a veteran will notice. To answer your question, this really isn't anything like the real deal.
They gave all the mavericks Spark Mandrill syndrome.

I've said it during the premiere and I'll say it again, I find it hilarious that the *DAWG* was harder than the final boss
Minecraft doesn't have relativity or friction so I guess they just locked you to the moving platform.
Tho I've seen an RUclipsr turning minecraft into a 2d plataformer with no mods in java. If this is on bedrock/win10 version, it should be even easier to make such thing.
Listen I am sure a mod team could make a free Mega Man mod that is way goddamn better then this shit because modder's seem to be better at making this shit then the official fucking people and if they do pay modder's to make this shit then they either got decent modder's but not good enough ones for the task or they didn't give enough of a budget to make it actually good enough to be fun if that makes sense at all
It’s seems like the community has figured out how to make them work. Just look at the create mod.
I personally think that if the stage enemies were faster and ALL CHASED HIM DOWN LIKE RAVENOUS BEASTS then this guy wouldn't say it was so easy, what made it easy is the enemies weren't relentless as in the flying bats needed to actually come after him and do damage on touch as well as sonic scream at him also the ground enemies need to be faster and more of a pain in the ass to deal with so this guy will stop complaining about how easy it is, also the stage needs to have up barrier blocks so he HAS to clear all enemies out before moving on to the next area, the bosses themselves need more HP and DEF to truly BE bosses, make them progressively get harder each time one is defeated whilst keeping their original attack pattern.😎
you know when you beat a boss one of the big mechanics of the game is that your supposed to get there powers but nope no powers here
You have to buy them with a currency that doesn't even exist in the X series, and got horribly redrawn in this DLC.

Let’s just say the original Mega Man X game of the 90s is much better than this. Much better. The sequels are great as well. There’s 8 of them.
And the Xtreme games, Command Mission, and Dive. Don't even get me started on every other Mega Man game. This should've been a Legends DLC.

@@ThatOneAltAccount143X5 has some issues but it's perfectly playable and X8 is one of the better games in the series, X6 has a lot of frustrating bullshit questionable level design and just skip X7, that game is seriously more boring than Sonic Forces
Not that I play bedrock, but in my opinion these "DLC"s kinda suck because their content seems to be contained to a specific map and therefore have no wider impact on the game itself. Like, if you’re willing to shell out the cash for one of these wouldn’t you want to use its content in the base game? Go fight the ender dragon with a mega buster and use the Batman grappling hook to get between the obsidian pillars or whatever else? I mean maybe you can, I don’t play bedrock after all and I sure as hell ain’t paying for a mod.
Especially since the free Java mods are way better anyway.
The reason these are bad is that they just recreate the games and don't adapt them for 3D most of the time

you should play megaman, its a great series. I would go for the x games or megaman 3 or 2 for first play, hopefully you enjoy the games.

MegaMan X was and still is one of my favorite games ever. I think that appreciation for the DLC comes from appreciating the source material itself. Seeing this in minecraft filled me joy, seeing you have no idea what you're doing or looking at? Not so much. Not your fault though! I would just highly recommend playing MegaMan X on an SNES Emulator, or it can be found on the Nintendo Switch store 👍

What pains me is that he’s been saying every licensed Marketplace Map he’s played is made by Mojang when they’re actually made by marketplace teams. I think that’s how they get views but it hurts.

I LOVED this DLC, I think for what it was worth they did an amazing job translating Megaman to a first person shooter. Of course it's not perfect, 57Digital was basically making origami out of a sheet of metal, but I really enjoyed all it had to offer. I can understand there's just some things you don't wanna play, but please don't just run past everything, not bothering to interact or immerse yourself in the world around you, then critique it like it was the games fault.
It's Minecraft, the whole point is to take in all there is and enjoy what it has to offer. Of course everything is so much more boring when you just run past everything. I'm not telling you to take it at a snails pace, and I know you really wanted to make that cake, but would it seriously hurt to spend some extra time to just be there, and enjoy shooting things?
This was my first video here, so it kinda hurts that the decimation of something I love was the introduction. I know it doesn't mean anything to you, but you do seem like a cool guy, I just wish you took more time to enjoy what is a pretty solid DLC.
I agree. I feel its dumb to translate Meganman X one-to-one in Minecraft because its doing 2D to 3D. I feel it would of been better for the Minecraft team would of done better if they took inspiration from Megaman legends (obviously tweak it) but make it Megaman X inspired. Why should they copy something old when they could make something new based off the original work?
@@jonathanphilip8975 That's not realy the point I was getting at? Most of the issues are on behalf of Minecraft, not the premise of Megaman. Minecraft was never designed for advanced movement, cycling platforms, or mission-based gameplay. If we took from Legends, it'd probably just have similar issues. That or be A LOT slower, like legit snails pace, which would be fine but I like how the movement works here, even if it is a little weird. Also, unfortunately people just don't know Legends as well as X. All things considered, I think 57Digital did the best with what they had.
