I work in radiology in NHS. I was completely fine with the pandemic overwork, the BAME risk assessments, fasting during long hours with all that PPE on. But this week i found out that both my parents in Pakistan are hospitalised and suffering from covid complications. I felt so shit that i am serving these people here and being paid in peanuts and giving my all to serve these people with compassion and back home my parents are in the worst possible condition and I cannot travel to see them. Irony has never hit me this hard.

I find deep breathing helps to refocus negative thoughts into positive affirmations. 😍

This conversation is so important! Many people cannot deal with the feelings that isolation can bring, I say this as a psychologist that having a support network in friends and family is capable of controlling and relocating anxiety, and if you need to seek therapy. Thanks for the contribution on the subject, mental health must be taken care of and the information shared, thanks Riz Ahmed for having such an enriching channel and sorry for the mistakes in English 🇧🇷
