I ran the front camera cable around the top and to the left and then tucked it under steering wheel and into the center console to cigarette lighter. The rear camera I ran through the passenger side of the car top trim and up to the front

That’s a good question. I will try it out but I am confident already that you can. Obviously hard to see if car is in motion but definitely if your close or its stopped
