Having worked as a LEO I have witnessed officers directing traffic and causing vehicle crashes, so this doesn't surprise me.

@@davidmack4185 There is no such thing as a "good" cop. Policing is the state sanctioned monopolization of security. Monopolies are supposed to be a bad thing, which is why AT&T was "demonopolized" in 1984 into the "Baby Bells". Furthermore, the salaries cops receive are from stolen money because taxation is theft. So how ironic you have a "private" thief being arrested by a badged thug who gets his/her salary from money stolen from the people. Security in of itself is a GOOD thing. But state sanctioned monopolization of SECURITY {i.e. "policing"} is a very BAD thing. Actually it's EVIL.

What was a police detective doing at the scene of a car accident? Why would a police detective be directing traffic? Is this the Keystone Kops or the Kentucky Kops? Perhaps equally important, Is there a difference? 🤦♂😜

Attempted to give instructions!!? Refused to comply!!? How can you say someone didn’t comply if you can’t confirm what instructions you wanted them to follow!? How do you know he heard the instructions clearly? Why didn’t you just let go of the car and not let it drag you down? Body camera didn’t record? And look, here's another point to add to your great comment 5q, the lights on the police cars are just too bright. They need to cut the brightness in 1/2. With just ONE cop car, the police lights can be blinding under the right circumstances. Cops are used to the bright flashing lights because they're around it all the time. Some people have sensitive eyes, and if you're not used to red and blue blinding light in a strobe light fashion, ESPECIALLY with say a dozen or more police cars with their lights on, it can be very confusing at times. Let's put it this way, the bonehead police would help the cause better if they toned down the intensity of the lights. Instead of having a dozen police cars blinding the public, just have one or two max - one at one end and one at the other end and the rest of the cop cars just have their "running" lights on.
The fact that a detective was on traffic duty tells me this officer might have already been on double secret probation to begin with

Because you never know, sometimes you think you're the only person who feels a certain way, and you have to "tip toe through the tulips" because after all, you don't want to offend all the cop suckers out there LOL. Well from the little video I saw, the first dang thing I saw was a typical bonehead copfest where all the cop cars have to have their BLINDING red and blues on. I bet the golfer did not even {initially} see the "officer" and if you're inside a car at "night" {yes I do realize it was early early morning} with a dozen cop cars with full red and blues flashing in a blinding manner, you may not even hear a "voice", OR if you did, you may not know where it's coming from. Plus if you're a rich guy like the golfer, your car is probably a luxury car where the ride is pretty quiet - quieter than the average car. Oh well, I now hope Scottie Scheffler has woken up to how the police are NOT your friend.

You got blinding lights everywhere and you have already been assured you as a pro golfer can get to the golf course. It was a misunderstanding. Look, the golfer is a cop sucker - he even admitted it during the press conference. So if the golfer is a cop sucker, OBVIOUSLY his shortcomings according to "law enforcement" were not intentional.
