Survived Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, 1 year without electricity😢. It was awful but survivable. Kept a diary which helped me fine tune what I need to prepare now. We need to have a strong mental strength to keep on going. Day after day. During WW2 my parents lived from what they could grow in the country. German submarines traveled around Caribbean islands. There wasn't much food coming to the islands. Inagone a war for us today...I own my home. Scarcely any land, but what I have is packed with fruits, green plantains , root vegetables. Don't give up. Use 5 gallon buckets, anything that can hold a plant. And grow what you can. It's worth it. Thanks CP for your excellent reports!!!
When nukes fly, that hurricane will look like a childs game. Its going to happen any day now, I know this because Nate has been telling me for a few years almost daily.
Puerto Rico is great. Unfortunately most of the world has freezing temperatures half the year. Without electricity there is no heat for the home and food in the oven. There is such a short growing season. Small 3 bedroom homes with 1 bath average cost is $1 million in several bigger cities. Few have large backyards for growing food or even balconies. Wages are lower than Europe or USA. Average size condo is 65 square meters with a price $700k. Again with no land or balcony.
I’m a 67 year old semi crippled guy we have a sweet spot multiple fruit trees I planted 20 years ago. I’ve actually out lived my favorite pear tree. Grapes that have been in my family for a 100 years. It’s not that hard a little more every year. No tractor but a side by side. A good sized garden is also a must and a bunch of common sense. Hand tools are a must and handyman knowledge to fix most anything.
One guy that was rich😊 how did you learn how to do an electrician fix a car build a house plant a garden go fiction well Andy roofing and frame the other guy says because I was poor and if we didn't learn these things we die always trust in Jesus
Abundance of Water is essential for young growing fruit trees and a survival garden. If you don't have adequate water and in some cases sun blockers, it doesn't matter what else you do. The drought or excess UV will wipe them out, and stunt their growth. Drip watering is the key to fruit trees and gardens today.
Here in the Great Lakes Area it is hit and miss. A good portion of folk are buying water, water jugs, fuel Jugs, fuel, bleach. Gardening season is upon us here and lots of folk getting desperate to grow their own food. I heard comments 'I don't want the government to control my food.' Best
Don’t have the cheddar to do off grid, but when I moved here we had no running water or electricity for over a year. I’m old and have lived with hurricanes, storms, winter ice etc… and power outages for weeks at a time. Toughen up younguns!
I live in the Coachella Valley in Southern California, and NO one even has a clue about the severity of the situation in Europe. It's amazing. Mainstream media and the government won't say a word.
Of course not! It's embarrassing for them. They can't be worrying about little things like war, they got elections to win, and an opponent they got to put away.
None of it matters to us. We have a military and thousands of bunkers FILLLLLLED with rockets and specs you can't even imagine. Ask anyone who worked with These organizations. Realize, you're in America.. you are 99.6% safe

Nate: I am involved with the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA) and we are finishing up an event in New Mexico called the Grand Outlandish. The location is the east Sandia Mountains north of the town of Chillili and south of Tejeras. The location is nearly due east of the Albuquerque airport and Kirtland AFB. So air traffic is constant into and out of the airport. For the past three days I have had FlightRaidar 24 up on my tablet, and have kept track of the planes coming into and out of the area. There has been a tremendous number of aircraft flying overhead, landing and taking off that do not show transponder signals. Some that have over the past few days have been navy and air force 757 and 767 aircraft or whatever thier nomenclature is. Additionally people have been deeply on edge, upset, short on temper and skittish.
There's been a lot of unusual military air traffic over Reno, Nevada over the past 6 months. Strange flight patterns as well. I thought they were coming from Edwards or Nellis, but perhaps they're coming from your location. I've chalked it up to increased west coast patrols. I've recently asked a friend who lives near a naval station to call me if he ever sees all the planes take off all at once. I'm going to take that as a Russian launch.
Hello from WA, I lived in Cedar Crest in the East Mountains for years. Great place to be if shtf but was at the same time concerned with travelers from ABQ.
I work at a Costco in the midwest, and the people who come in are clueless, still buying useless stuff and still being upset at the most superficial of things. People who shop at Costco are usually more well off and also usually pretty incompetent. I wonder how half the people who come in are able to have a driver's license.
from Nova Scotia's eyes, while people here are struggling with finances, no one seems to believe that WWlll is real. the average joe here is so busy just trying to survive I don't think people are even paying attention. My family and I are prepping like crazy and have been for a few years now HOWEVER most people here, including my relatives, don't even know of the WEF.
It is similar for people in the US. Even those of us who try to keep up with world news are stymied by MSM not covering actual news. Our civilization is falling, and they talk about the most inane subjects. News from outside is actively censored.
I see a lot of that here in southern BC too. I can see people having a hard time financially but don't think global issues too much on their mind. I haven't had tv for years so don't know what mainstream is feeding them if anything at all.

There is a very apparent tension in the air in Idaho! Having PTSD I am seeing situationaly that people are buying more prepper style foods and other items. We have a lower cost of living than most. People are still hurting, though. I recently noticed while shopping Amazon for solar back-up, that the volume of purchases in the past month has increases exponentially.

I’ve been buying food and water for a while now but I’ve been drinking the bottled water as I’m getting it recently as I’ve lost trust in the tap water. I’ve been watching you and full spectrum for a while and it seems like a conventional war will happen before nukes.

Old guy here. Been prepping my whole life. Off grid, house almost paid off, small farm, corn wheat and rice stores all put up. Guns enough to start a small war, Fuel put up, secure water source. And the resolve to shoot anyone who tries to take it. Rural, so they're going to have to get here first. Anyway, everyone talking about being on edge, cant afford anything, worried, stressed out, etc. etc. etc. Well Jimmy Carter ran us through all this in the late 70's and we had the recession of the 80's and let me tell you it wasn't pretty. Most of you were being born then so couldn't remember a time before your cell phones or personal computers. It was hard, but everyone got thru it. But let me tell you - if a nuclear war starts, all that is going to be like a birthday party were everyone got presents. You see there are a lot more of 'us' now and a nuc war will take out ALL the resources. So you think it's bad now? You just wait. Everyone praying better pray for a depression caused by the economy, not a nuc war. A nuc war will make these days of 'sorrow and less' look like paradise. Never mind the people who are clueless at Costco. In a nuc war, most will die within the first month. Then most of who's left will die in the next 6 months. Then, most of who's left then will die within the first 2 years and most of who's left then will die within the first decade. You think you can survive that first decade? You'd better have planned well. I've been at it for 42 years and I'm beginning to have my doubts about making it. There wont be any land to live off of. Most wild livestock you could eat will be dead. The countryside will be mildly radioactive for many decades making farming hard without diesel. There wont be any more fuels of any sort. There wont be any doctors or hospitals or urgent care facilities. There wont be any food to be had, bartered for, or stolen. You really wont need a gun because most people will already be dead from starvation. Everyone you see will want to steal whatever you have and when it gets dire, they'll want to eat you. There will be no government. Everyone living on the government dole now will be part of those that die immediately. Communities gathered for survival wont make it because people right now are not mentally prepared to care for their neighbors, everyone is too self absorbed or self centered to make the sacrifices of a community group possible, Survival past the first decade will be a matter of pure luck. You can tilt the odds in your favor by being rural, prepped, knowledgeble, but you will always be one failed crop, one attack from a gang, one small disaster away from failure and death. The only bright side will be that you wont have to support the government and all those people in it any more. It'll be no size restrictions and screw the limit.

Exactly. I heard a ex marine talk about how easy it would be with just a very small group of like-minded individuals to overwhelm almost any homestead. Or small community. He went on to describe in detail how he would do it and the tactics that he would use, and it was horrifying, to say the least. He based his theory off of the fact that during a wild weasel, SHTF situation, the bad guys are going to be literal Jackals that will not care about anybody or anything. Accept themselves and possibly their small pack of friends, and they will do anything. Including kill and torture to get what they want. They won't take prisoners, and they won't give quarter. Blessings and prayers to the brothers and sisters out there.
Hi CP. I'm in New Zealand and work in oil and gas. Myself and many of my colleagues have just been made redundant. The main cause is the government has commandeered around half of our gas supply because we have an energy shortage nationwide. As for the cost of living, inflation is leveling but stagnant at a high rate (somewhere around 7%). This means interest rates are high which adds more pressure to the cost of living through higher mortgage repayments. I believe this is a global recession and not just in nuclear free New Zealand. Cheers for your early warning vids from NZ.

Most of my friends in Europe are not at all concerned with the rising tension in the war between NATO and Russia. They are not at all concerned with prepping and preparing when things go wrong. The general news services talk about Russia's saber rattling and the President of the Netherlands recently said that Putin is a weak man. So everything we worry about as a prepper is seen as idiots. They are more concerned about where they will go on holiday this summer.

Hey Nate, Brian Campbell from Fort Wayne Indiana. As for your question are people stressed out and on edge? Well around these parts people are stressed out and worried about the economy, paying bills, not able to afford a home let alone buy food on a weekly basis. Things are definitely getting worse. The worst part is, it's all be design to eliminate the elderly and the "weak" from society. It's a purge to see who can survive the longest and come out the strongest on the other end.
My ebt/food stamps allotment was $5.19 a day last year. Not much of a raise this year, and now Medicare will take $174 monthly from my tiny Social Security check. I took in my auntie with dementia a few years ago, the welfare agency turned down any assistance for taking care of her, claiming that at 94 years of age, she was neither elderly nor disabled and cut my food stamps. After 13 months of caring for her, I finally had to put her in a nursing home and go visit her. Medicare immediately had $364 dollars a DAY to put her there, but not one penny for the person who kept the tax payers from having to pay for this.
Lambs quarter , chocked full of nutrients. You could grow your whole yard full and normal ppl wouldn't know the difference between it and a weed. Kudzu will sustain you. It grows everywhere. Stinging nettle, boil like collards. It has vitamins and nutrients. Mushrooms but, make sure you do your homework. You can eat every mushroom once.
I can't eat foods high in oxalate. Lamb's quarters as well as many other greens are high in oxalate. Oxalates should be avoided if you have kidney issues as well as when you are not getting enough WATER. Dehydration and oxalate (as well as other things) causes kidney stones. Believe me, you don't want them when shtf. No urologists around, no pain meds, and if you can't pass it naturally you'll be in BIG TROUBLE.
You can only eat all mushrooms once because if you eat a poisonous one, after that you're DEAD. Better be sure you know what yore doing, with no medical system to rescue you, if they even can...

@SeriouSXXFireworks That's just wild to me. I personally think it may have something to do with the massive boom in chicken spots. One of the frequent misconceptions about nuclear war is that it starts by nukes taking off. No, that's how it ends. The way it starts is by "accidents" resulting in loss of nuclear submarines and early warning satellites, and terrestrial early warning sites being taken out by "terrorists". Also, one would expect an attack on the command chain sufficient to create a temporary disruption, and in this chaos one launches a first strike. We don't know whether the Russians lost any submarines or satellites lately, but they lost two Voronezh radars in 3 days, and that's basically one of the standard openings of a nuclear war. The Russians must know that and their assets must be positioning for several days already. One of the standard responses to your radars being taken out is taking out the enemy's radar stations and anti-ICBM systems closest to your borders, which is Romania and Poland. Also, if they lost submarines and satellites, they probably already retaliated in kind, and nobody will ever know.
People having hard time buy food. After January 1st Rent, Insurance, utilities bill and price of gas going up. I seeing stress of people in grocery stores. I was in Albertsons in Lemon Grove California USA, Meat case gotten smaller.
I see that the section for staples has gotten smaller here in the UK: eggs, meat, cheese, less variety in tinned food. The space that used to hold that food is filled with random stuff, usually bulky like multi pack of potato chips, wine/beer in cooler sections instead of the room temperature shelves. Also there's less variety of goods in general, fewer store brand versions of food too.
When SHTF, I am going to regret having every dollar I still have, but I still feel like I need to hedge against a future where we just go on and on like this forever. The cash I have is protection against future-flation, but when SHTF may be to late to spend it... It's a conundrum...

Use 5 gallon buckets, anything that can hold a plant. And grow what you can. It's worth it. Thanks CP for your excellent reports!!!

Communities gathered for survival wont make it because people right now are not mentally prepared to care for their neighbors, everyone is too self absorbed or self centered to make the sacrifices of a community group possible,
Survival past the first decade will be a matter of pure luck.

I live in a fairly large city in NC. Luckily prices aren't as crazy on the east coast but times are still really rough for us here. We have been prepping and teaching our kids how to camp, fish, and what we can.

IF THE RADAR CAN NOT BE PROTECTED ---- THE CITIES SITTING DUCKS
dont they have satelites for seing incoming missiles these days? thought the radars were the old soviet times ones they are prety useles today? to easy to hit 🤔🤔
It was hit with a small drone not gonna do much to a city
@@georg841984Yes.
They have satellites and China
@@georg841984 Russia has already launched low level satellites which might be able to take out "unfriendly" communication satellites.
Even in Australia, those of us who are aware of what is happening are seeing tension and uncertainty. We are to some extent isolated from the main impact but eventually we will be affected economically, communication and trade. Although China is showing to be a concern directly to our region.
Indonesia could have a crack and Australia funded there military
Years back a Chinese diplomat said China planned on taking over another country for its clean water, and resources for its population. And living space (Lebensraum).
Now China is telling their women to breed more citizens.
Yes, I definitely sense high amounts of stress when shopping and a bit when I'm not. It feels like everyone around me is on edge.
Russian Vladimir Zhirinovsky, in his final speech to the Russian Duma said "There won't be an election in 2024 because America won't exist." This was the same speech where he predicted -- to the day -- when Russia would enter Ukraine!
Crazy

6,-17-2024 was a date that was brought out a few months ago..
Can you elaborate on this?@cindybraun371
Dates get mentioned constantly. And it’s always 2-3 weeks away.
Many of us feel it's hopeless, that so many of us are not going to survive.
they will be the Lucky ones sounds bad but the Living will envy the Dead it says so in the Bible ❤i for one have no wish to survive i hate living in this world i put my whole trust in Jesus this is the last days
it will be nothing like ww2 that my mum and dad went through
my husband went to heaven end of December 2017 i live alone i am 66 in September tired and long to leave this world ❤❤❤😊❤love from England
Most people aren't going to make it if WW3 goes full nuclear. As a prepper you either need to be a minimalist or go all. As a minimalist you can absorb the smaller shocks before the wheels fall off. If you go all in you might make it past the chaos and survive to eek out a shitty living in a destroyed world.
Saw a new area at Walmart today called "community resources" and it's all dried foods, barrels, water filtration supplies.
Where was this? Can you give a general area, state or region? I haven't seen that yet but I'm curious to see if it comes to other Walmarts!
What state

@@Norcal-cryptid143 That’s crazy. It’s about $5.00 a pound in our area of Texas.
I saw a headline that said 80% of Americans can't afford fast food. Burger King, and Red Lobster going Bankrupt.
I went to McDonald's for 1 McChicken yesterday, and it was $2.39. I went ahead and just left. Not that I couldn't afford it, but it's not worth that.
@@nohaxinvolved3619 here it's 2.99 for a McChicken and 2.99 for a small fries plus taxes 6.50
@SeriouSXXFireworks That's just wild to me. I personally think it may have something to do with the massive boom in chicken spots. I've noticed them pop up everywhere, and some fast food restaurants have made new, larger buckets/boxes of chicken. I'm sure it wouldn't be the only reason but a big one, in my opinion. I'm not up to date on potato news either or all the regions where ours come from.

We definitely have a feeling here , tht something isnt right. But alot of people are totally blind or just dont want to think, tht its got so bad and tht everything is ok. Dangerous moments in time.
People know that it is about to hit the fan. You can tell by looking at what people are buying and what is in their carts at Costco.
CostCo shoppers are always bulk shoppers and a small percentage of all shoppers...
Lots of preppers who don't talk about prepping....
Every shopper at Costco buys like it’s the end of the world, it’s Costco FFS
Been buying veggie seeds from local shop for $2.00 a packet. Have about 100 packets of each veggie I can have about 30 varieties for hydro system under ground.
I bought a fistful of $2 seed packs, and the germination rate was abysmal!

Me too. I’m stocking up on and saving seeds as much as any other food. I also have sprouting seeds. If confined inside for a long time they will be a very valuable asset. All seeds I keep in the fridge.
Everyone in my family is saying things are getting too expensive.

Yes there seems to be just the slightest uptick in tension because of the stress caused by policies of greedy business men
When SHTF, I am going to regret having every dollar I still have, but I still feel like I need to hedge against a future where we just go on and on like this forever. The cash I have is protection against future-flation, but when SHTF may be to late to spend it... It's a conundrum...

Same here. Although I've done some prepping, it seems that any move I make is a wrong move.
