Hey, we are southerners and I understand every word you say. Don’t try to get rid of your accent. Be proud of it.
Yes I'm a Brit and find that it gives the stories more character so keep it up.
Exactly it's what makes the good guy unique 😆 and his stories are the best!
Marilyn Calvert so sorry for the loss of your friends, but don’t worry about your accent. I think Boston accents are cool.
Your accent is superb Cam love that drawl especially from a pretty gal up The South greetings from Olde England!
@@colinp2238 👍🏼
Your beautiful accent is a big part of the enjoyment of your wonderful storytelling. Never change! 😊
Your accent is essential to the atmosphere and abience of this channel!
I just tame it a bit. Haha
What accent?
Yes, what ever you do don't try to suppress your southern accent, that is a big part of who we are and helps give us our identity, and I know, I've had to deal with it myself, but if you look around and listen to all the other people on this earth you will appreciate all of who we are. Thank you!
I agree strongly!
Your accent is essential! I hail from S.C., now in Montana. I have caught more grief up here over that accent. I feel at home when I hear a slow southern drawl. Makes me think of warm summer days on the porch with lemonade.
Me and my wife love to listen to your stories of Bigfoot and others. Your accent is great. When we turn in for the night we always try to look for your new stories.
Hey Dixie, this is LJ in Oregon and I think your accent is great and perfectly understandable. You just keep doing you.
Where in Oregon are you?
I live in Newport on the coast.
I'm in oregon on hwy47 out by mist.
Aww Cam, tis that accent that draws in the crowd! Its like a cup of hot tea on a cold night by the fire!! 💚💚 Ooh the banshee!! She's our girl here in Ireland..When the fox howled, my badass brother would tell me it was the banshee coming for my soul! He said she will take me from me bed, stand me on the street and tell me RUN! If I could run, and escape her steel comb that she would pull from her hair, then I would live!! Needless to say, I needed a plan. I invited my little brother to come sleep in my bed, near the window, so that he could deal with the banshee 😂😂 I guess I was not such a nice kid lol!! Great story though DC! Great to hear the irish folklore. The banshee is alive and well! Thanks 💚💚💚
Jennie God bless the canny Irish ☘️😉❤️🦋🙏
Alright, alright, alright!! It's a new Dixie Cryptid video!! Day Saved!
You stop that right now! There ain't nothing purdier than a southern accent. My Georgia accent got me into all kind of adventures in my younger wilder days. In my 60 years I never met anyone that didn't love a southern accent. Yours is beautiful, let it shine! M.K. Davis has a beautiful Mississippi accent. Don't worry we can turn on closed captions if we can't understand you. That's always a hoot, closed captioning can't understand half of what anyone says but it can sure make for some funny videos. Really be yourself, you sound fine. And the stories are always great!
J Bos omg I just commented the same thing 😂🤣 Us southern folk got the “stop it. You stop it right now” bit ALOT as kids
@@KStone9711 And our behinds tore up if we didn't stop too! LOL
J Bos So true! 😂🤣😂I’m English and I love the southern accent! So charming! God bless ❤️🦋🙏
I’m Australian and I can understand you perfectly!
My mom used to say, “....screaming like a banshee.”
That's it! I've heard that too.
I say, "wailing like a banshee."
Mine to I have found that I say the same thing lord rest her soul...
In reference to the youngins im sure lol
Mine, too🤣
I love listening to the accent. Brother, it's relaxing and enjoyable, trust me. Keep up the great work!!
Wise, you nailed it, relaxing.
I love, love, love your voice and speech. Don’t change a thing. Be yourself. That’s who we love.
I have a southern accent and from Alabama Roll Tide💯Great show.
You poor thing... geaux tigers!
I'm from North Al.
Roll Tide!!!!!!! 😊
Thank you Lisa for your great comment! I love the great state of Alabama with all of my heart! I was born, and raised in the great state of Texas! My Grandfather, Grandmother, and my mother, and her two sisters where from Alabama! They moved to East Texas back in 1950's. After I came out of the Navy back in 1983, I started driving Semi-trucks cross country for a company out of Prattville, Alabama! God bless all of you from Alabama!
Hotty Totty......but as long as you guys aren't Vol fans....we can be friends.
Alabama has a-much different southern accent. I like the Virginia and Texas accents.
I'm from the UK and I can understand every word. Please don't change.
Love the south. Wouldn’t have it any other way
Cam don't change a thang! The way you do the tellin' is part of the charm of your channel.
We love your accent Cam! Love the Southern people too! All riiight here we go! Awesome! Have a Great weekend and holiday everybody!
Thank you Dawn !
Sugar, your accent is wonderful. I'm the from the foothills of North Carolina. Most of us sound southern too. You sound like a normal southern folk. Keep it up.
Your southern accent is what makes You unique and stand out from the rest. You have a natural way of telling these stories and it just flows so nice n smooth ...
Love your accent and lilting tones! . I’m
British-Aussie.
We love British and Australian accents. Our favorite TV shows and movies are almost all British.
Alright Mate!!
NEVER CHANGE YOUR STYLE OR YOUR ACCENT!!!!!. That's why we all tune in and listen to your videos!. Your voice and your narrative style are uniquely you, and really make the stories you tell even MORE entertaining ...... God bless you!.
Definition of banshee
: a female spirit in Gaelic folklore whose appearance or wailing warns a family that one of them will soon die
Michael A. Bell .......Yes ! 😱 !
She combs her long hair as she wails and is meant to particularly follow surnames beginning with Mc, or eg. O' Byrne
...or has already died, even if far away. It is often stated that the banshee laments only the descendants of the pure Milesian stock of Ireland, though.
Don't try to change your accent that's why we all listen to your stories it's like listening all us in Kentucky talk. Please be you I'm a hillbilly and love who I am, Keep up great work. Southern and Proud
"I try to talk good ya'll" . Lol , i like this guy.
Be proud of your southern roots. I'm a native Montana boy transplanted to Wisconsin. Still have my twang and proud of it. Great show by the way
The tone of the voice is everything. The accent is the icing on the cake. Together, they make the stories you read to us real. Others can tell a story, but their voices just aren’t up to par with Dixie Cryptid. So happy to have discovered your channel!
Wow just getting better and better. TY you who sent the stories. TY Cam again for a great podcast! God bless!🤗❤️
Good thing I'm up late tonight! This is perfect thing to listen when falling asleep since you have such a nice and calming voice! ❤️
We love your accent, don’t hide it. It’s one of the nicest parts of your channel. What makes you you.
I LOVE your accent!!! That’s one reason I listen to you! You’re always so complementary to everyone who writes in, and so personable in your interviews...SO ENJOYABLE!
They followed families across the world from Ireland the homeland, all the best families have them! Xx
Thanks I love getting a❤ you xxx
Omg it’s such a great movie!!!!! I was obsessed with it when I was little and always watched it at my Grandmas house.
Ah! One of my favorite movies... "Darby O'Gill & The Little People." Sean Connery sang in it. Great movie. The Banshee's scream was supposed to foretell someone's death. I am Irish, & my mother told me about them. So Cam, there ya go regarding the Banshee!
All the various accents is what makes this world and each of us unique! Keep up the stories!
Can you give us a few minutes of your real speech - I’d love to hear it. It’s part of what’s good about the videos.
???? Real speech???? Um-hellloo!!!
@@michellemarieperez6574 he tries hard to make sure we understand him speak when he reads but says his accent is much stronger then we hear it. I'd like to hear it.
@@busymountain OHH. I'd like to hear it as well. Good day.
Your accent is what makes it DIXIE cryptid. Your voice is soothing. Don't lose the accent. --fellow southerern
I like to hear you say here we go!
I'm an islander from NZ who lives in Australia. That accent has soothed me to sleep many a days and nights. I love it. The differences in everything is what makes life exciting. Coming from a 40 year old straight male, your a catch my man, wouldn't be throwing you back in the sea if I was that way inclined. Keep working hard uncle
I love it! That movie is the best! We watch it every St Patty's Day!
I've often heard that when someone is in a vehicle and has an UFO encounter the vehicle often dies, the radio and lights stop working momentarily. I wonder if the GPS malfunction could be a similar situation?
Haggiesmum interestingly on ghost sites they complain about their batteries being drained on their devices.
There's nothing in this world..in my opinion...more charming than a southern accent. I'm am from, and currently live in, Savannah. I tried in my younger years to shuck my own accent but now I appreciate it...wisdom with age. Love your stories and your accent is icing on the cake. You keep on tellin em and we will keep on listenin
Ohhhhhh, praise tha Lord!!! Just in time, sitting on the back porch with mytwo puppies n old Aunt Marble(13 yr old Aussie mix),, ready to nestle down n enjoy!! Thanks so much Cam!! You have made it an Outstanding evening! Hugs!!! From FL
Wonderful news. Enjoy your evening. Stay safe in that storm.
I'm from England and I absolutely love the southern accent (as do a lot of us here) also it's a perfect match for all the bigfoot stories which I also love listening to!
Be proud of who you are and how you speak. We are all different and that makes us all unique.
1st Hang on to yo weaves! Hit it, here we go!
I had friends who came from N. Carolina when I was in High School when we lived on Ft. Hood Texas for the 1st 5 years 1970-75, (everyone's from somewhere else in the military and we were Army brats) and I was from Oregon, His dad, who happened to be CSM of the MP's there, between his accent and the fact he continuously had a cigar in his mouth, He might as well have spoke a foreign language! I could understand my friend better lol.
Texans laughed at how I pronounced Motorcicle vs tbeir motorCYcle. But I loved the short cuts that the Southern English afforded and to this day still use Y'all.
My old friends and family in Oregon told me I talk like a southerner for years, I took it as a compliment and even pride, they were just jealous lol.
I bet I could still understand y'all just fine! If I was closer I'd swing by with a six pack and yack.
I learned to drink in Texas too. I learned a lot growing up in the Army that was alien to my civilian friends but when we played army as kids, I was the only one all kitted up with the real deal when we would move back home while dad was on a deployment. LoL. I talk to damned much I think ! For crying out loud when I saw how long this was I should of started with Dear diary.....
@Carol Harris That would of been perfect!!! 😁👍 Its a good thing I dont drink, I cant imagine carrying in a one way drunken ramble the way people do when they have too much but only having to type it all in text on my cell phone like I do.
@Carol Harris well thank you Carol for your kindness! I'll wrap up the book and keep it shorter next time!
I’m a NW to Dixie( and back) transplant myself. I agree with your feelings and comments. Proud Transplanted Texan. My buddy said I was from “Dorks, Texington” bc I grew up in Forks, WA and spent many years in Dallas,TX.
@@thafmsnasty
LOL!!! Your Buddy had a great sense of humor and wit!
Thanks for your comment! It's nice to know there are others out there like us! Sounds like you had great experiences while living in the south too!!!
Once while living on Ft. Hood I got to go up to the Dallas / Ft. Worth area to Six Flags Over Texas with a small group friends from HS.
That was a really memorable time. I got to see a little bit of Dallas but only what I could see from the highway.
I'm guessing that must have been a great experience for you living there!
The movie "The Boggy Creek Monster" came out while I was living in Central Texas so we had to watch that of course, now here I am all these years later on Dixie Cryptids!
You're funny!
I'm from Manchester, England and can hear your stories clearly. Keep up the fine story telling Dixie 👍🏻🏴🇺🇸
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your accent!!! I listen to this podcast because of it!😁
I love your podcast and I am going to become a member.Be very proud of your heritage. Thank you for being you and “Here we go.....”😍🥳🥰😁😘

Hey Cam, great stories again. I could listen to these stories all day! Being a southerner myself & listening to you is like a family gathering. Just like home to me and I thank you for that.😄
Cam, I’m from the south coast of England 🏴 and I can understand your lovely warm accent perfectly well Sir! God bless you. ❤️🦋🙏
Southern myself and Proud!! Wow loved the stories!! Keep on telling them!! Have a Blessed Weekend!!
I used to get teased by my family after I lived in Arkansas for a few years.. I was born and raised in Oregon but moved here after I married an Arkie..
You should burn and sell CDs , say 60 mins each. Fun to take on camping trips to scare the waddin out of your kids .
That's a great idea.
I agree. That’s a fantastic idea.
I think so, too. It’d be a great way to share your stories with friends. Some of mine aren’t into RUclips.
@@DixieCryptid be even cooler if they were 120 mins each 😂😉
Just saayyyyyin.
Ditto!!!
I fall asleep to your stories every night. The next day I have to replay the ones I slept through. Your voice literally puts me to sleep

I love you're accent!! Don't change! That's another reason I listen!!!
Cam....you were our first cryptid tube site we listened to. Now it's hard to listen to any of the rest of the cryptid sites because we really enjoy your style of narration. You rarely mispeak words and have a very engaging voice. You're the greatest... Keep up the good work!
As the song said - 'don't go changing....' All the best and thanks from the UK, Cam!
