I prefer written patterns and am so happy you provide printable patterns for your squares. I also like to watch the corresponding videos too in case I need a little more information. Thank you for both!
You are so welcome! I am glad you enjoy the videos, I like the written too, but it helps to have the visuals when you get to the tricky parts! Thanks so much for watching
I tried this pattern a year ago when it was first posted. Now that my crochet skills have improved. I was able to follow your video with ease. Thank you so much!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this tutorial is! I am a beginner and learned so much about stitches and reading a pattern! Thank you so much! My square is a bit wonky, but I know with practice it will improve. I didn’t think it was possible for me to crochet something so pretty.
You are so welcome, this makes my day! I love to hear that this has encourage you to try something new and that you are learning as you go. Keep it up and enjoy!
Wow! It’s sooo pretty….i mean mine. I can’t take my eyes off the colours and pattern. Amazing tutorial…and very soothing voice. Your patterns are so elite! Thank you for sharing ☺️🇨🇦💝
Just a helpful suggestion, please do 2 repeats before you say meet me at the end of the round. It would save us time stopping n rolling the video back to view the section again before meeting you at the end of the round. I know it might make the video longer, but I think it might be more helpful to those of us who are not as experienced as you are. Thank you for a beautiful pattern!
Thank you for your suggestion. I initially didn't want the videos to be too long, but have since changed my take on that and I'm adding in more detail and more repeats. So glad you like this pattern and thanks for watching.
I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I just started crocheting about 3months ago now and have completed this beautiful pattern thanks to you!! I can also read patterns now too because of your PDF and this follow along video. I began with the video and ended using the written pattern!! Thank you so much! You explained everything beautifully, your camera is easily visible and you're just amazing!! Thank you so much again for helping me in my journey!!
This makes me so happy! I love hearing this. I am so glad you liked this square and you could learn to read the pattern with the help of this tutorial. So glad you found my channel and thanks for watching and your support 😊
Greetings from Tennessee. Your mandala is beautiful. It looks like I'm going to have to incorporate another project in my crocheting endeavors. Thank you Jane for sharing this tutorial with us.
Before I praise your square, I must compliment you on your beautiful hair style. You look awesome. We women focus so much on talent, we miss the person behind the skilled hands. Your voice and style of teachinv is so gentle. Wish you a great creative life. Love from India. ❤
This has been the absolute best explanation I've run across yet for crocheted squares. Thank you so much! I think I can finally do a square. ( I'm a knitter learning to crochet)
You make this so easy to learn. Very good teacher. I think I can try this. Thank you how you have laid this out so clear and not assuming that we know the stitch. Thanks again.❤
I am left handed and taught my self how to crochet during COVID. I just wished I'd found you then. This is the best tutorial I've seen. Just FYI, I've never commented on a video before on you tube.
Jane thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. It's so educational, your teaching is so pleasant and helpful. I love to listen to you and each tutorial find something new I can learn from you. Thanks for your time, work and generously share your knowledge.❤❤❤
Love love love this! And i think it's explained very well at an intermittent level. Which is what i prefer. If people feel they need/want steps repeated, rewind video. Love that you have the written pattern as I'm pretty much self taught and trying to learn how to read patterns, so having both written and video helps a lot!💕 Thanks! Will be using this, just need to finish the other 10ish crochet projects I've got going on😂 and figure out colors!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is difficult to make a tutorial that satisfies all levels, but I am glad you enjoyed this one. Glad having the pattern helps you learn to read them, 🙌 Having 10 ish projects on the go makes you a true crocheter lol, so rest easy with that one! Enjoy and thanks for watching ❤️
Thank you. This has pretty much what im looking for. Simple. Yet Color - shape variety. For me - understanding changing shape Round to octa to square. 🙋 🤺💐
Everything you crochet is absolutely beautiful! Your voice is so soothing and your teaching is very clear and easy to understand! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials❤️💞 ❤💞❤💞❤
Wow, I loved this tutorial!!!! I played it all the way through the first time, then crocheted along, pausing and replaying sections!!! I love the result!
Wow! that was fun! my colours are a little brighter, such as purple golden light brown, white with a silver lining and bright purple and bright green. I am at round 7 the white colour. Your work is giving me the peace of Mind that I need. I love your work so much! thanks for the fantastic explanation. I have crocheted over 40 yrs. But never too old to learn new Challenges!
This is beautiful! I appreciate when you bring the finished piece back into frame so we can see where/how the stitched fit into the overall piece. I did struggle with this one, particularly some of the "bracketed" stitches. I was really really wishing that you had demonstrated the bracketed stitches just ONE MORE TIME after the initial tutorial. Just a smooth talk through it as you stitch it, would REALLY have helped.
Thanks so much. I do get that request on this particular tutorial. It was one of my first squares that I made a tutorial, when I was trying to make the videos shorter. I have learned to slow down even more and work more of the square on camera. I used to think it made the video too long, but I see people really like to see it more of the square worked all the way through. Thanks again for your suggestion, enjoy
This a beautiful piece of work though not that easy to follow. I had to rewind and watch again. When entering a new round I expected to see more of it. Finally I did it. Thank you.
Wonderful teaching skills - thank you for being so generous with your expertise. I would like to know what yardage is needed to crochet a throw measuring roughly 4x5 feet using cascade ultra Pima cotton using a 4 mm hook with slightly loose tension. My squares are measuring 5.75” square. I will purchase your pattern as well because you’re my kind of person and I love this pattern.
Thank you so much! I am not sure what the yardage would be for a completed blanket in this yarn, as I am not familiar with it. The best advice I could give is to work a square in the yarn, then either weigh the square ( I use a kitchen food scale ) or tear it back out and measure the length of yarn. Then based on the size of your finished square determine how many squares you will need and multiply the yardage or weight by this, adding a bit to be safe or for an edging. It sounds like with your square size and desired finished measurement, you would want 10 x 8 squares, which would be 80 squares. They are coming out smaller than mine, because of the thinner yarn and hook you are using. I used a 5mm with a worsted yarn. Hope this points you in the right direction.
Hey All, I am so glad to see everyone giving this square a go. It is a rewarding square to make. If you are having any difficulties, be sure to check out the pattern blog post (linked in this comment) , where you can find the free pattern written out in full, as well as some tips on working through the square. Thanks again for all your support, interest and kinds words. Crochet is my calm and I feel blessed to share this with so many of you. ❤ Find the Pattern Here : www.jspcreate.com/mandala-crochet-square-easy-tutorial-pattern/
I have found it to be simpler to just use my crochet hook to pull the yarn tail through to create the invisible join. For me, it's just easier than dropping everything just to grab a tapestry needle.
I love your easy to follow videos. With this square, I found it very helpful to go to the written pattern for round 9 to crochet the repeat. Your written instruction are also clearly and simply written. I am just starting to crochet have have loved finishing this square. I have subscribed to your site and plan to use more of your ideas for my next blanket. Thank you so much, from a now enthusiastic crocheter!!😉
Thanks for the suggestion. I agree, when I first made this tutorial I was using it just as a quick visual aid to the written pattern, but I notice people want more of the visuals, so I have tried to start slowing it down and doing more of the repeats. Thanks for watching.
Awesome, that round 9 can be tricky with the squaring up of the shape. Keep trying, sometimes placing markers can help with stitch count and repeats. Hope that helps. Keep trying. Enjoy!
Love this and love the way you instruct. I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for speaking clearly and showing exact stitches, where they go and what they should look like. ❤
I was so lost I was off on round 9 it wasn't adding up,grrrrrr!! I finally found my mistake on round 7 I wasn't doing the 2nd sc in the ch2 space. Can I suggest showing 2 * - * so that ones like me who are beginners can really understand. Once I got it I got it but it did take a lot of grrrr's LOL thank you so much for this pattern it is lovely.
That is a tricky part because of the way I wrote the repeat. I do have the free pattern on my blog with all the repeat written out and I have also noted about being careful with that second single crochet. You can find it here www.jspcreate.com/mandala-crochet-square-easy-tutorial-pattern/ I am glad you figured it out and that you like the squares. 😊
I've successfully completed my square with your tutorial. It's easy to follow and I'm happy with the end result. It almost looks like yours. Usually when I follow tutorials, it was nowhere near. Thank you so much!
Thanks, I did give this another look to just be sure, but it is only 2 sts. In Rnd 4, there are only 5 sts between each ch sp, so on Rnd 5, from one corner ch 2, you skip 2 sc, work into the center st which is the sc dec from prev rnd, and then skip the next 2 sc to reach the next ch 2 corner sp. There are only 40 sc in Rnd 4, which is 5 per edge. Hope that helps clear things up.
Thank you for the tutorial. I bought the pattern as I wanted the chart and as a way to help you keep making the tutorials you do. I found you on RUclips and fell in love with your designs. This is my first mandala and though it was c hallenging, (I am just learning to get my tension right for a treble) it was very satisfying when completed. I have decided this winter's project is a blanket using your design. It will be my first that isn't just a granny or a straight stitch design. Will be looking at your border stitches to bring it together.
So glad you are enjoying this one and thank you for your support in purchasing the pattern, I truly appreciate it. This will make a beautiful blanket. I have a few border tutorials up and more in the works
Loved the tutorial! My first mandala pattern! The only suggestion I have is maybe to at least demonstrate the start of the second bracket- I missed the one where there should be two sc in the chain, instead I only had one. I see how I missed it, but I’m visual, that why the tutorial is so great! Thanks!!
Thanks so much, this pattern seems to catch alot of people with that 2 sc in the chain st, because I have one at the beginning and one at the end of the repeat. When I wrote it, I felt it made sense as a symmetrical repeat, but one of the single crochets just seems to get overlooked. I have written an explanation for this on the blog to help. I also at the time was trying to keep the tutorials a little shorter and not over explain things, but going forward I am trying to take more time to do more visuals of the repeats, and just placing chapter markers in case people want to skip over the explanations. So glad you liked the tutorial and thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. Enjoy!
Buenas tardes. Me gustan mucho tus tutoriales. Te sigo mirando el video. El crochet no tiene idiomas se entiende😊. estoy haciendo ese squuare mándala. Precioso Saludos desde Argentina. 😘
Hi again! I have just been watching some of this through to see if I could work it out for myself, however I couldn't do it on my own so wanted to ask you a bit of a tricky question, and apologies in advance as it might get a bit mathematically challenging! :) I have been looking through your different granny squares trying to find one that matches the exquisite detail of the very stylish Wispy Willow, very much a favourite of mine! For whatever reason I had overlooked this one but just came back to it now, and so this is where the maths comes in. I have done my Wispy Willow with a #4 weight yarn but used a 6mm hook for my tension. This gave me a square that measured 8 1/4 inches. I would very much like to make this Mandala square to put with my Wispy Willow square for my cushion cover that I'm making, but from the measurements you gave at the beginning, you said the Mandala measures 9 inches, 3/4's more of an inch than the Wispy Willow I did. I can't remember what hook size you used (possibly a 5.5mm??) so don't know how your tension factors in with mine, just to add to the complications of it all if that does/would affect things? However I feel the only way I could do this to go with my cushion cover squares that I've made so far is if I downsize this square a bit, so was hoping for some ideas and suggestions of how I can do this please? I didn't know if any rounds can be skipped/eliminated, or if some stitches in certain rounds could be done with smaller stitches so the round doesn't have as much height to it, or if it can be finished off differently to make it smaller that way perhaps, but thought you would have the best idea of how it could possibly be adapted to be made a bit smaller. If you have any ideas at all I'd be very, very grateful!! Also by no means am I trying to take away from the lovely square you've created by asking for ideas to change it up a bit, but thought it could be a useful video idea for others who maybe like a range of certain squares that you've done and would like to use them together somehow, despite them being different sizes when they're completed? I know you've recently shown how to change the shape of some of your squares, so thought getting you to show us how to change the size would also be something very beneficial and helpful. Thanks so much for whatever you can suggest!! :)
This one would look nice with the Wispy Willow. Changing the rounds or stitch heights would change the look and dynamic of the overall square and therefore it's actual geometric design, making it a different square. I know people try to do this, but the elements all work together and by changing any of these you are changing what makes the square. I have experimented with this, and the square loses it's magic, or sometimes, becomes a completely different "magical" square. But non the less it changes it. So, I would say you have two options if you want to change the size of the squares. I usually suggest in my tutorials that you can play around with the number of border rounds to alter the size of the square. This one is bigger than the Wispy, so you would be best to add some rounds to the Wispy to bring it up to size. The alternative is to use a smaller hook. This sometimes works, but it too will change the "texture" of the square by making it more dense which will feel different than the Wispy Willow one. My go-to is to add border rounds to the smaller squares to bring them up to the size of my largest square. This also gives a neat look as it gives the smaller squares more "breathing" room with the extra border rounds. They can be done in a solid colour or you can do them in a few colours that you draw out from the square itself, to make them all create a cohesive design. You can even add border rounds that are just sc or you can make them hdc or dc instead to make them wider. I do think this would make a good tutorial as I do have some blankets I have done this with, so thank you for that suggestion. Hope this helps. Good luck with your blanket.
@@jspcreate Hi, thanks so much for getting back and providing your thoughts and feedback. I completely respect what goes into your work and obviously if it wasn't necessary by no means would I want to change a thing! However as it was really important to me to keep all my squares that I'm making being Jane Snedden Peever squares and not just wanting to make any ornate squares from anyone, my focus was to try to make some minor adjustments so that I could use this square as well, to go with the Wispy Willow. So I eliminated round 3 which actually made the least change compared to any other idea I could come up with, and then obviously because that made it a bit smaller I had to do less stitches of the ones you did in the rounds that followed, but this then allowed me to still make this square, and kept it almost looking the same, and with the bonus of being able to add a couple of border rounds in sc so that it looked more cohesive with the Wispy Willow. I chose to do it this way as when I measured what removing that round would come to, that round on its own measured exactly 3/4's of an inch, exactly the reduction I needed to get it down to the same size as the Wispy Willow! So all in all it worked out quite well! I didn't want to add more rounds to the Wispy Willow square as that already had three rounds, so I felt that would look too much, so this small sacrifice I think was the better choice. Please know I don't mean any disrespect by choosing to make these adjustments, what you created is truly lovely, and I just wanted to find a way to still use this in my project as close to what you did as I could. Your cardigans at the end of this tutorial are really stunning, a tutorial on any of those where you used these squares to make them would be so wonderful to watch. Lovely colour choices and beautifully made!
Sounds like you might be good at designing! I definitely encourage creativity, so no worries. I am glad you found a way that works using the designs you wanted.
@@jspcreate That's kind of you to say, I think what drove it more than anything was sheer determination of wanting to make it work, and I'm really glad I could come up with a solution but not sure designing is necessarily my forte'?? Just admire your work so much and love the squares you create, and I'm so enjoying the process of recreating them for myself! For some reason even though I'm having to make some adjustments along the way which would normally be frustrating I'm still finding the making of the squares very calming and also exciting as each one gets completed, it's been an enjoyable process and I'm so glad I could learn from you! Thanks :)
Yes you can, just be aware as you work outward in crochet on a square shape, because the stitches are not lined up on top of each other as they are in knitting, the square will skew. It is less noticeable with higher stitches such as dc than it is with sc. You can block it to help, or as you get bigger, dec as stitch before each corner and inc a stitch after each corner on every 4th row perhaps. Try it and you might not have to, but this is just a suggestion to help if it does. Enjoy and thanks for watching.
I made a mistake in round 7 so I redid it and the last two rounds worked perfectly. TIPS: always count the TOTAL sts using the written pattern at the end of each round. Watch out for Round 7! After you sc in ch-2, it says to hdc in each of next 3 sts. That first hdc (out of the three) is literally in the same space as the sc. That was my mistake. Overall, a beautiful modern pattern thank you very much for sharing.
So glad you made it work for you. Yes, counting stitches is important. On Rnd 7, The first sc is worked into the ch-2 sp and that first hdc is actually worked into the second of the sc that was worked into the ch-2 below, but it can look like the same as the ch-2 sp. There should be 8 sc per edge in Rnd 7 which includes one in each of the ch-2 sps at each of the corners of the edge. This is why I love charts more than written, I am more a visual person. Thanks for giving it a go, so glad you like the pattern.
I am curious about the situation when you plan to do an invisible join to double crochets. The ch3 as the first dc looks so awkward, squished, bulgey, when you do the duplicate stitch over the top of it. Do you think a ch2 as the first stitch would be adequate? (Also, excellent demos and discussion, education!)
Hi Gail, thank you. Yes. I have debated that but wondered if it was just me, so I agree. The ch 3 can be bulky and a ch 2 would work better. So thank you for suggesting that, I wasn’t sure if anyone else had this problem. 👍. I will suggest this in future tutorials
Just found this, so sorry for the delay. I think you figured it out, but yes you can do a slip stitch, it just gives a different look. I find as long as you are consistent than it doesn't really show. Good luck with it.
Hi Pauline. Are you asking about the shawl at the end of the video. I do have a few patterns in the works at the moment. I had been so busy with tutorials, that the sweater and blanket patterns are taking a back seat at the moment. Let me know if that is what you were looking for. I will have some new patterns up in my shop in the next few weeks.
Yes it can be done in one colour. If you don't want to fasten off each rnd, you would need to start the next rnd right where you left off with the previous rnd. It isn't written this way so it might be a bit tricky on some of those rounds to determine where to start, however it can be done.
I have just done it with cream wool it looks good. You might want to use a stitch marker when done in one colour though, they may be fiddly little things but they are a great help.
I like the invisible finish…not only for the look and ease when doing the next round, but I also finish winding in the end while the yarn is on the needle…after checking first that the stitch count was right of course…keeps it neater and not a lot of sewing in the ends when your finished. Bye💁🏼♀️
So glad you found this invisible finish helpful, it really is nice to finish in those ends as well, so you can enjoy finishing a square without seeing all the ends left to do. I prefer to darn them in as I go as well.
Thank you. I use the Susan Bates Ergonomic Silvalume. I get them at my local Michaels, but you can find them online as well. I have a link in some of my video descriptions I love that they are longer than the average and they have a comfortable foam handle. They also have lasted me a long time, so very durable.
Good morning from west Virginia. I found your channel this morning and I'm enjoying it. Could you please tell me the name brand of yarn and colors you are using. Walmart is the closest store to me and they don't have colors like the ones you used. Thank you
Thanks so much for your kind words, so glad you are enjoying my channel. I have updated the post to have the yarn brands and colours I used for each part of the square now. They are just yarns I get at my local Walmart, Michaels and V&S (Canada department store) The link for the pattern info is here www.jspcreate.com/mandala-crochet-square-easy-tutorial-pattern/ Enjoy

This is really such a lovely pattern for mandala square. The explanation was really nice and i managed to make 1 square. Cant wait to make few more❤❤
That is awesome, so glad you like the square
Your instructions are great. I love your work .

Thank you so much for posting this tutorial. It's a gorgeous motif and the colors are beautiful. I hope you have a blessed day. 😊❤
Thanks so much
Oh my goodness that's beautiful
Thank you

I have found it to be simpler to just use my crochet hook to pull the yarn tail through to create the invisible join. For me, it's just easier than dropping everything just to grab a tapestry needle.
Yes, that is another great way to do it, and can save having to keep a darning needle on hand.
Jane this is gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊 Thank you so so much😊
You are so welcome, I am so glad you like it! Thanks for watching
You have the most soothing voice!!!! I haven’t made this yet but will soon. I LOVE your channel. I could watch all day!❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much, you are soo kind. It means alot that these are enjoyable. Happy Crocheting, and thanks for watching. ❤
You are so welcome! So glad you found the pattern and it helped
Hello Jane! Been knitting a lot and started Looking for a palette cleanser.. .. spied this beautiful square💕! I’m gonna try it for sure. Thanks. 😊
I am so glad this gives you a break from knitting, it is fun to try something different.
This size is perfect for using up my scaps. Great explanations on stitches. So easy to follow along.
Thank you!!
So glad you like it, it is perfect for scraps
Thank you so much! I love this and I love your tutorials!!! This is so beautiful!!
You are so welcome! So glad you enjoyed this square and thanks for watching
This is genius! Never thought one could do that. I've been crocheting for 2+ years. This is a must try. Thank you. 🌸
You are welcome
Very beautiful thanks so much for your video ❤
You are very welcome
Love this tutorial and the free pattern! I made a bucket purse out of these squares, and it’s gorgeous!
That sounds very cool, thanks for watching.
I made it, wonderful pattern.
That is awesome, thanks so much for watching, Enjoy!
Your work is amazing 🤩
Thank you so much 😀
Great tutorial but needed to extend another side to go around the next corner before you paused and meet you at the end of round
Thanks for the suggestion. I agree, when I first made this tutorial I was using it just as a quick visual aid to the written pattern, but I notice people want more of the visuals, so I have tried to start slowing it down and doing more of the repeats. Thanks for watching.
Just mind blowing square and very easyt o understand ❤
Thank you so much ❤
I did great till round 9. I will keep trying
Awesome, that round 9 can be tricky with the squaring up of the shape. Keep trying, sometimes placing markers can help with stitch count and repeats. Hope that helps. Keep trying. Enjoy!
@@jspcreate got it!! Looks beautiful
Beautiful pattern - excellent instructions. Your voice is so pleasant to listen to. Thank you also for the written pattern. ❤
You’re welcome 😊
Love this and love the way you instruct. I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for speaking clearly and showing exact stitches, where they go and what they should look like. ❤
Thanks so much, glad that you are enjoying these tutorials.
Really beautiful! Easy to follow your instructions, Thank you!!! :)
Thanks so much 😊
I'm saving the pattern...in my list...thank you so much
Awesome, glad you like it!
Took me a few attempts but got there in the end. Going to try doing a coloured version as I have just used cream coloured wool for this one.
Yay, so glad you kept going. There is a tricky spot in this one alot of people run into, the blog post with the pattern helps work through it. Enjoy
You can find it here www.jspcreate.com/mandala-crochet-square-easy-tutorial-pattern/
I am glad you figured it out and that you like the squares. 😊
Ohhhhhh thank you! I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out the error! God bless you ❤
Love the jacket behind you. 😊
Thank you!! 😊 I have a pattern for that ALMOST completed lol
@jspcreate oh ok, never made crochet clothing but I terested in making jackets. Lol! I haven't even made a granny square yet.
Thank you for sharing this pattern. Pretty straightforward.
You are welcome, so glad you liked it.
Great class! Watching from Brazil 🇧🇷!! Thanks!
So glad you enjoyed this, thanks for watching!
I've successfully completed my square with your tutorial. It's easy to follow and I'm happy with the end result. It almost looks like yours. Usually when I follow tutorials, it was nowhere near. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, it means alot to me that you enjoyed making this square. Enjoy and happy crocheting
@@jspcreate 😍❤️❤️❤️
Jane thank you! This was so fun! I truly enjoy your designs!! 👏👏💕
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching
So beautiful...would use this for so many projects....ty😊
You are so welcome!
In row 5, there's actually 3 stitches being skipped before working into the next chain space after the 3dc ch2 3dc.
I realized I was wrong after watching it again
Do you know what a standing stitch is? I thought I'd ask because i like how they eliminate the extra stitch from your starting chain.
You do very well explaining patterns. I have never been able to read patterns.
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed this one
Enjoy!
Очень красивый квадрат ! 🎉
Спасибо большое за урок ! ❤
Thank you
Really a beautiful design. Thanks for sharing. I shall make a bedcover. Love from India 🇮🇳 ♥️ ❤️ 💕
You are welcome, enjoy!
This is one of the best crochet tutorials I have ever watched! Thank You! 😊
You are so welcome!
Lovely square. Great instruction!
Thank you so much!
I have been looking through your different granny squares trying to find one that matches the exquisite detail of the very stylish Wispy Willow, very much a favourite of mine!
Thanks :)
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful pattern ❤❤❤ I love it and I'll use it for a blanket (for one of my boys). Very well explained 😊🌹
Thank you, you have very lucky boys. Enjoy ❤️
I love this pattern and thank you for sharing.
Just wondering if i wish to make it large enough for cushion would i just keep repeating the last round
Wow I just finally tried your invisible stitch on round 4 !!!❤ what a difference! Thanks
That is so awesome, I am glad you found it helpful!
Thank you so much for your video. Very clear instructions for beginners. 👏👏👏
Glad it was helpful!
Wow what absolutely beautiful colors she picked to do this ! I'm here! Likin & subscribin! ❤ 🙏
Thanks so much, glad you like it. These are my fav colours too.
I love it. Thank you❤
You are welcome
Hi there, do you offer some color charts, to give us ideas?
I only have the one colour way for this one so far, but working on more.
Do we have to do the invisible join ? Or is doing a slip stitch into the 3rd chain at the end in Round one acceptable?
Just found this, so sorry for the delay. I think you figured it out, but yes you can do a slip stitch, it just gives a different look. I find as long as you are consistent than it doesn't really show. Good luck with it.
Does using the invisible join add an extra stitch?
No, you are creating the look of a stitch over top of the first st of the round, so no extra stitch is created.
@jspcreate ok thanks
Thank you for your videos. So beautiful ❤
You are so welcome
Hello thankyou for the tutorial. I can not find the sweater pattern using this Mandela. Is there a pattern?
I have not released one yet, but there is a jacket pattern on its way, so glad you like the tutorial ❤
Hi miss Jane this Pauline there is a pattern i want to buy it is the mandala home decor do you have a video for it thank you
Really beautiful from chile 🇨🇱🌈🌹
Thanks so much
Hey there! New to crochet and just wondering if this can be done with all one color? If so, how do you continue without the color exchange?
Beautiful creations!!! What brand of hooks do you use? Thank you.
Outstanding video! Thank you so very much! ☮️
You are so welcome!
Does anybody know if using the magic circle would cause a problem in starting this square?
The magic circle will work fine as well. Sometimes I mix it up and show a chain foundation. But go ahead and use a magic circle 🤗
In my experience a magic circle will work but make sure that the yarn tail is secured within the 16 stitches so it doesn't unravel 😊
Jane thank you so much for sharing this tutorial, i absolutely love it, am using it in my tote bag that i have just started 👌👌💕👍🙏🏻
You are so welcome!
Beautiful pattern!!
Thank you! 😊
