My best yarn deal was from Facebook market place. 3 full garbage bags of yarn for $25. Most of the yarn had not been used by the person. Around 75 balls of yarn.😊
My favorite steal of a deal… red heart scrubby cotton. Joann’s craft store. 118 skeins for 2 cents per skein. So for less than 3$ with tax usd I bought enough yarn to clean the universes kitchen lol! They had intended to mark them 2$ on clearance but forgot to add that decimal point and those 00s lol
Great yarn haul, love the top you’re wearing, and w/your hair pull back you look so much like a youth. Love that baby dinosaur yarn. Yes the colors are so pretty and calming.
Thanks for keeping me company on my sick day! I loved your question at the end of your video. My best deal with thrift store yarn was a $1.49 bag that had a skein of local hand spun and dyed yarn. My best deal at a retail store was $1.24 for clearance yarn.
OMG! That was almost free!! Well shopped, Jayda (and Shell!)! The pretty "beachhouse" looked like "peachhouse". :) My favourite yarn shops have sadly closed down, and when they sold out, that was good deals for us (but not for them). We had shops here with very special yarn and it was often like Christmas to go there. People buy online so the shops don't survive. Guess it'sthe same everywhere.
Hi Vivi! Its so sad when a craft store closes. I used to love going to the mall when I was a kid because they had a craft store there called Lewiscraft and I loved it. But it closed down. And there was another chain store available to us when I was little called White Rose and they sold all sorts of great (and cheap!) craft supplies, but they're all closed down now too. It's so sad!
I try to only get yarn on sale. I do save for the big Hobby Lobby clearance sale once a year, where I’ll get yarn from .52 cents to 3.74 a ball. Wish the Comfort was widely available here. I really like it. Thanks for sharing! Hope you’re having a good evening!!!❤❤❤
Hi Jayda and Mr institches love your videos I have made several of the vintage Beret that you had made and I love the pattern so much. My birds Bobby and wren have watched with me your live videos and Wednesday has also watched with me. Thank you for all you both do from a fan in Connecticut
A few times a year, I have shopped Lens Mill online. Found yarns I use are priced really really well there. And someday, I will treat myself to a road trip again -- to Cambridge -- so I can go to Cambridge Fibre Outlet & the Lens Mill right beside it. woot woot
Nice yarn haul! Lens Mills usually has really good sales on the long weekends. I took advantage of this sale as well. I stocked up on cotton yarn (you can’t have too much of it). The big balls for just over $6!!! Yes please. Also picked up some pipsqueak to add texture and trim to a sweater. I also really liked the cotton that was in the scrub off yarn. I noticed it wasn’t made in the same country as regular handicrafter yarn. A couple of my best deals…..Lens Mills once had a 75% off discontinued yarns spent around $70 for almost $300 worth of yarn. 2nd - found 4 rewound full balls of Simply Soft for $5 and 2 full big balls of Bernat Baby Velvet for $2 each.
I liked all the colors that you got. I expelly like the baby dinosaur color and beach house. Where can it find was it called handy craft. And your patterns for dish rags
Hi Evelyn! Bernat makes Handicrafter cotton and it's also marketed under the name Peaches n Cream or Sugar n Cream in the US 😊 We have an entire playlist of dishcloth tutorials here: ruclips.net/p/PLU-tvdaf-FndxBbpX9mVOuH_OMOSe9nMM
Hey Jayda n Mister, great yarn haul!! Love everything, altho I’ve never used the 6 weight before…. Of that 1 weight!! If you do make one of the critters, do the sloth ! They are so cute!! Altho I do love giraffes also!! You did a great job comparing these yarns to others, and saying how much they normally cost! Great video! ❤️
I can't think of a yarn deal right off the top of my head, but there was a Michael's deal... I love browsing the clearance section. I've been eyeing up a sewing basket, retailing around 30 USD. Clearanced for 10 dollars, used my 10 dollar voucher, got it for free. :-)
Wow Jayda, great yarn deals. I was in Lens Mill last weekend but must have missed the sale. It's about an hour from me but I don't like driving on the QEW. My best yarn deal was a a discount store, I don't know what caron anniversary cakes go for but I got 2 fo $26. I'm making my grandson (16) on next birthday, a blanket with it. He might not appreciate it now but someday I hope he will. Take care and have a wonderful rest of your day.
love your haul my best deal i think is every yr i go to a hobby lobby clearence and theres yarn 75% off so for a 4.99$ i pay 1.24$ so i try to stock up if i have the money
Yay! The Yarn! 🎉🎉 Great haul! You did so well on prices! They are literally going up all the time so the deals were really deals when we shopped! Most importantly it was fun! I’m just disappointed that they changed the Stripey. The original was so much softer. Here’s hoping one day we get access to a reliably available soft wearable cotton in Canada. Have a wonderful weekend
Agreed Chelle! But I still like the Stripey, I'm sure I'll find a nice little project for each of those. Thank you again for pointing the sale out to me! 💗
Pink is my favourite colour. During a visit to spotlight I came across the discontinued section and found lion brand summer nights yarn for $3 per ball, so I got a few of them & when I got home I checked the receipt & they were $1 a ball. I love a bargain. Oh Jayda I got a wool winder for my birthday, it’s a small one, but I’m having fun with it. She did say I will get a bigger one, so excited
Hi Lorraine! That's a great deal, but I'm even more stoked about your new Yarn winder!! That's wonderful!! They are fun, I have to stop myself from rewinding everything in my stash 😂
No recent yarn deal other than Mary Maxium and I shopped their clearence section and bought some of their brand yarns for $ 1.99 and $2.99 per skein and got free shipping.
As mentioned, they had a sale on discontinued yarns/colourways during a sale a few weeks ago, so I'm sure they're back to normal pricing now. And I believe there is shipping to the US (it's a rare thing in Canada to get a deal!)
I've been putting off going to my local Len's Mill for the yarn sale as I just know any attempt at a budget I try to make will be blown immediately. 😅 I love my local Len's and shop there often. Their yarn prices are similar if not slightly cheaper than Michael's.
The only be big deal I have gotten was from Savers, Wal-Mart prices are way to much for Red Heart these day...excuses is...pandemic & the inflation of it. I think you got a great deal with your yarn haul, American dollar would have been more, in my opinion.
Hi Cindy-Anne, thank you! (I made that shirt 😁) I think a lot of the yarn I bought in this haul is either made or directly imported here in this country, so that's definitely going to help cut down on the final costs.
Great haul! I was curious, with all the things you make, do you ever do any craft fairs? I would like to, but I don't make things that quickly and when I do, they seem to get grabbed by friends and family. Not that I mind!
I used to many years ago, but we don't have time for them any longer 😊 Typically I keep things, gift things and occasionally donate things for charity raffles 😊
Hi Ann, I got these during the sale they had on the Labour Day weekend, in the discontinued stock area - hence the reason they were such a great deal 😊
I was lucky enough to make a purchase from Hobby Lobby’s clearance aisle, and got 50 skeins of Yarn Bee and I Love This Yarn for $1.24 average per skein! My Hubby encouraged it!!!!
I get very well priced yarn in my grocery store here in SA. This is what I pay about for each Normal DK 100g probably like saver yarn I pay 2.01 Canadian dollars Premium acrylic 100g =3.56 Aran 400g=10.77 Cotton 250g = 5.03 Cotton 50g = 1.51
Hi Barbara, probably, wool needles are usually sold in sets of 3 and I have found them available in most places that sell yarn - Amazon carries them too 💗
My best bargains are the free ones! My used to be dining room is the yarn room! The harder I work to clear the shelves, the fuller the shelves get😜
Free is definitely the best deal!
My best yarn deal was from Facebook market place. 3 full garbage bags of yarn for $25. Most of the yarn had not been used by the person. Around 75 balls of yarn.😊
WOW! That's an amazing deal!

That’s called being in the right place at the right time!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Oh wow! 😲!!
Love watching your yarn hauls! And I completely understand you couldn't say no to a colorway named baby dinosaur, that is adorable
😁 It's so cute, and I love the colourway!
Thank. You. For. This. Video. I. Enjoy. Seeing. New. Yarns. And. Everything. You. Showed. Is. Great

Thank you for watching 😊
I love all your yarns
Hi Jayda !! Very nice yarn you got a great deal thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching Maria 😊
The amagurumi yarn I use to make a lacy scarf from a pattern. I love the orange yarn and the amagurumi yarn colors. Very nice Jada.
Oh neat!
Thanks for keeping me company on my sick day! I loved your question at the end of your video. My best deal with thrift store yarn was a $1.49 bag that had a skein of local hand spun and dyed yarn. My best deal at a retail store was $1.24 for clearance yarn.
Hi Julia, we hope you're feeling better 😊 That's a great deal!!
Love your picks, Jayda😊. Got three balls of 10 thread... made some head wear. 1.00. Green 2 , red and a smidgen of white. My nieces lived them.
Good deal!

Hi, the Tango yarn, now is listed for $11.69. WOW! you got a great deal.
It was a weekend sale and I am so happy I had a chance to take advantage of it!

Hi Kat! This was all thanks to a Labour Day sale a few weeks ago and this was ALL yarn from the discontinued area, so the deals were pretty great 😁
I found some 12 - 13 dollar bulky yarn for 3 dollars last year on clearance
love your haul my best deal i think is every yr i go to a hobby lobby clearence and theres yarn 75% off so for a 4.99$ i pay 1.24$ so i try to stock up if i have the money

We need a lens mills in North Dakota!
Everyone needs a Lens Mill!
I found lots of red heart super saver at an estate sale, discounted at 1.00. It was like Christmas
WOW!😃
Great haul and prices, Jayda. Jayda, my best deal was the $2.97 bin at the Mary Maxim tent sale this year.
oooh, that IS a good deal!
Pink is my favourite colour. During a visit to spotlight I came across the discontinued section and found lion brand summer nights yarn for $3 per ball, so I got a few of them & when I got home I checked the receipt & they were $1 a ball. I love a bargain.

@@JaydaInStitches it’s a small plastic one & I also had to stop myself from winding up yarn, just because 😝
No recent yarn deal other than Mary Maxium and I shopped their clearence section and bought some of their brand yarns for $ 1.99 and $2.99 per skein and got free shipping.
That's a great deal!
Nice haul. 🤗❤️
Thank you! 🤗
Tango is a fizzy orange drink in the uk
OOOOH! Well THAT makes sense!!
I think it's the Orange flavour soft drink called Tango they named it after.
That makes sense!
I was checking for the yarn you bought me nothing was as inexpensive as your amounts. I wonder if the price includes shipping to USA😂?
As mentioned, they had a sale on discontinued yarns/colourways during a sale a few weeks ago, so I'm sure they're back to normal pricing now. And I believe there is shipping to the US (it's a rare thing in Canada to get a deal!)

😂 It's SOOO true!
I think we should officially rename “Tango” to “Mango. “
I would agree!
I bought yarn for 69 cents. The original price was 2 dollars. Yes, discontinued color.❤
Great deal!
I use Bernat all the time
Me too!
The only be big deal I have gotten was from Savers, Wal-Mart prices are way to much for Red Heart these day...excuses is...pandemic & the inflation of it.
I think you got a great deal with your yarn haul, American dollar would have been more, in my opinion.
Agreed, things can't possibly have suddenly become THAT much more expensive to make?!
love your shirt and wool tht you bought. Unfortunately in South Africa it will cost a lot more
Hi Cindy-Anne, thank you! (I made that shirt 😁) I think a lot of the yarn I bought in this haul is either made or directly imported here in this country, so that's definitely going to help cut down on the final costs.

Jayda I hope you make the chicken ha ha he’s cute.
I love chickens! That one DOES look rather cute 😁
Hi, I just checked Lens mill, there is no red heart for 5.85....it is price for smaller size....so check your prices again
Hi Ann, I got these during the sale they had on the Labour Day weekend, in the discontinued stock area - hence the reason they were such a great deal 😊
hi Jayda.....so they were not online purchase? you can still get those yarns online....they are not discontinued...
@@JaydaInStitches
I have not seen any red heart comforts.
Cool haul!!! I’m jealous!!! 😉❤
I'm pretty pleased with it!

Cotton 50g = 1.51
That's a great deal!!

💗
I love your Yarn Haul videos! (Get real, I live all your videos! But you know what I mean )
* giggle * Thank you Ms Rabbit 💗
Tango made me think of Tang.
From what people are saying, that's the right thinking - apparently in the UK they have something called Tango!
I wouldn't call it enabling... at tge end of the day all that yarn is a business expense 😋😋😋
I like the way you think 😁
Hi can you buy the yarn in Newcastle England
Hi Barbara, probably, wool needles are usually sold in sets of 3 and I have found them available in most places that sell yarn - Amazon carries them too 💗
I never pay full price
