honestly, i thought the same thing but im super into that kinda stuff & its actually extremely popular. people are now starting to get tired of the phones & sitting inside and realizing what true beauty is out there and not in your backyard. i constantly see people going on road trips whether thats from east to west coast, north east coast to south east coast or just the north west coast to the south west coast. and theres definitely more people who are living out of their vans/rvs just to be able to live that lifestyle; whether its a family, a couple or just someone who craves adventure. saves them the time from having to search up a billion things.

Google indeed could just copy this and release their BETTER version for about 50k with most of that being in hiring some interesting people to voice it. And then you have a better, low priced version, of this you cannot possibly compete with.

Id be down for this if it came with Sirus XM or something that came with the car. I love traveling and driving too, but Im not paying for it. Also it would be better if when you put in your destination it pre-downloaded stories along your route and played when those points came up in your trip, than solely relying on a data connection. You tend to lose signal and that would be a helpful way to ensure you get your monies worth even without signal.
My only problem is when people say “cutting down on screen time” and then have an app and the only way to use it. Is with a screen 😂 besides that it seems ok to me. Also, glad to see another Santa Barbian 🎉
