An article from Engine Labs in the USA 🇺🇸 brought me here. That’s one nasty 7.3 in the Falcon Sedan. Greetings from Silverstreet South Carolina USA 🇺🇸.
Now I know why its been so long between videos. This is so cool. Hope you have it on the track real soon. Even Cleetus is doing a godzilla but he wants turbos. I'd rather be BLOWN!
It’s cool but kinda strange seeing Cleet branch out into so much Ford stuff these days. From neighbor, to his new raptor, and to the upcoming 7.3 build. He is definitely expanding his horizons and I can’t wait to see what he can do with that 7.3.
If all it needs is a oil pump and oil pan and no cutting of the car to fit in a xa that means the godzilla is a fantastic engine for these older falcons. I wonder what type of manual gear boxes bolt up to it.
just happened across you in my feed by accident..subbed and liked and commented because i want to stay and see more from ya'll ... great video.. love the 7.3.. she is a beast
This shows how flawed a fixed percent of driveline loss is as a theory. Drivelines take a certain HP/tq to turn with small changes due to temp, friction from the tq load fed to it and so on.
That's awesome to make it fit under the stock hood. Love the Aussie tendency to use 4-door sedans. Love to see the uniqueness and similarities of our respective countries. 🇺🇸 I'm planning a Mercury Cougar build and am likely going to go with a 347 na stroker for weight and packaging, but these Godzilla motors have me curious. If I can add mass-produced bolt-ons, maybe increase compression, cam, headers, intake, then it could be a budget friendly 600hp. I love the valve cover, covers. Want the classic look. What seems to be the big-ticket necessity is the custom ECU needed for each application. Wonder if the aftermarket will support affordable heads that allow for a conversion to regular spark plugs, production intakes for carb or EFI, cam drive for distributors. I'm sure y'all think I'm nuts to go backwards, but where else can you get a stock block & robust internals, that easily fits into fox bodies (and my future '67 Cougar) that gives you 445ci, a semi small block look, and a reliable 600hp na? What am I overlooking?
I love the XA they are a very nice sedan with very very cool looking backside with the rear break lights. But in my opinion the XA 2 DOOR COUPE IS THE BEST LOOKING COUPE OUT OF THE XB wich is very close ? A lot will say the XB. And that’s obvious as it’s a nice car.
So… how do I import a falcon xa to the US and get my hands on this supercharger set up and engine? This is a really cool build, keep up the badass work!
Have a look at M & M T400 values .. It'd want to shift like an F1 .. They do build the quickest & fastest "auto" door car on the planet .. Edit : Or did !! I'm not 100% atm , but M & M definitely know how to throw a T400 together ..
Don't Aussies make two door coup vintage cars for drag racing there? There's just something very odd about a 4 door dragster unless of course you're taking along the family down the quarter mile for a picnic.
OK Lads Ive gotta ask with full respect…… At the 3:38 mark on the video Do i see a puff of nitrous going in….???!!! 1300 rwhp seems like an awful lot…..
So now I guess you are going to claim this is a 1300hp "street car" even though it has never made 1300hp in street trim. So what does it make with the pod filter on 800hp?
Great engine with modern technology , but looks similar to usual GM pushrod engines, 7.3 is average for a BB engine, GM have crate engines with 632ci over 800 hp standard na
Hey Jim the godzilla is more about minimising external dimensions whilst maintaining big block cubes. Yes gm has larger cubes, but they won't fit into a fox body or xw.
It's the "similar to usual GM pushrod engines" in that the LS is similar to the 351W, which is similar to the SBC... Throw the G3 hemi in there too. Yes, 90° V8 pushrod OHV engines tend to share a lot of similar features, that's how it works. The 7.3l 'Zilla is as much a big block as the 7.0l LS7 is. Bore center of the 7.3 is significantly closer to an LS than any BB, hell it's even closer to an LS than it is to a so called "medium block" Ford FE. The 632 is just an overpriced crate engine(you can get better from reputable race engine builders; although the new LS-style heads on this piece are neat) for dumb 'bragging rights'(following Mopar's also overpriced $30k 'Hellephant'); the 7.3l is a mass produced pickup truck & medium duty commercial engine. In crate form, the 7.3l costs $6,500-$7,000 - not $38,000 like GM's ZZ632. If I wanted a REAL big block, I'd get it from someone like Shafiroff Racing, who has a rock solid reputation. They have multiple 540-632 pump gas builds(along side the race builds obviously) listed on their website, from a 625HP 540 for $13,500 to a 1050HP(50 more than the GM engine) SR20 632 for $21,500. Not to mention the optional upgrades they offer too. 1000HP 632 for $38k, or 1050HP 632 for $22k? Either way, they're both still multiple times the cost of the 7.3l, because of course they are.
Nissan never named the Skyline GTR Godzilla, the GTR earned that name. Ford just named their new engine Godzilla, and that just ain’t the same….. But as the other bloke said that V8 is one fckn stout donk.
@@dinosshed the Godzilla is 2.6 liters not 2.5, and it will go toe to toe with this any day. That is the difference between earning the name and just calling it that.
Wow, Ford really really outdid themselves with this platform
Keen to See Al's big block blower combo from "the skid factory' on youtube. Killer combo!

No pun intended😂
Looks like he dumped the Godzilla in favor of the smaller but quicker and faster Coyote
getting that torque over 1000lbft is really crazy
Damn! Ford has finally made a beast again!
Now this is a beast!!! Perfect combo motor for the XA !!!!!
Awesome to see the progress on the Ford 7.3. Thank you keep the updates coming. 😎
1305HP/1105TQ at a TRUCK Engine low 6200 rpm, what a BEAST !!
Wow for a 1300HP engine it sounded very streetable. I see a rolling chassis with one of these for my Crown Vic, the ultimate sleeper.
Love the "302" badges on the side 😄

It's the same bellhousing pattern as modular and coyote, so any manual from ba-fg v8 falcon will fit
What a f#*king beast. Can't wait to see it on the track.
You know it's fast asf when old mate from Dandy is standing next to it lol.
What a Beast! Hope we start seeing more of these monsters in the near future.

Wow the power from an engine doing a little over 6000 rpm. Nice to have big block capacity.
Nice touch on the length of the clip... The famous old 427.
Fully ready for Mad Max!
Oh baby!! That’s tough
Awesome build! How did 1300hp on an engine dyno translate to 1300hp at the hubs? What else was changed?
Maybe to do with the fuel system rather than whatever set-up they have with the engine dyno?
Potentially calibrated to represent drive loss on the engine dyno
This shows how flawed a fixed percent of driveline loss is as a theory. Drivelines take a certain HP/tq to turn with small changes due to temp, friction from the tq load fed to it and so on.
Hub dynos usually show a calculated HP at the flywheel reading, a chassis dyno with rollers acting on the tyres don't.
@@garageredzone flywheel?
It's calculated from the hub, hence its called a hub dyno
Silly question, because I’m curious. Why a turbo 400 over a Ford transmission like a C6?
Outrageous! Gotta love it.
Bugger me that is overkill torque, mental 💪🏼
What a perfect built car
What a beast, it’s great to see that it fit under bonnet with out a scoop. Great work fellas
I remember doing jumps and running over trolley's in one of these falcons
1500Nm!! Jaysus!!! What a weapon!

For an American is it weird that most of our muscle cars in Australia are 4 door sedans and Ute's?
@@bashyamate2613 it is yes. You don't see them here in the US.

Can that engine fit in a Winnebago 29 Vista NPF? Would it grenade the rest of the powertrain?
Such sweet, sweet music!

So… how do I import a falcon xa to the US and get my hands on this supercharger set up and engine? This is a really cool build, keep up the badass work!
Supercharger can be supplied by Harrop USA - info@harrop-usa.com
😯😃 More power than a team of Belgian draft horses 💪💪👍👍
How tall is the harrop supercharger compared to the stock 7.3 intake?
Stock is 180mm and the harrop is 215mm
So was this crate motor modified internally….????
When will we find the XA on spotify?
Does it shift cleaner on a hub dyno vs rolling dyno/onroad given the drivertrain is 100% engaged? Because the shifts were F1-esque

How much is the blower? Are they available in the USA?
Our TVS2650 Supercharger is $6,800 and available in the USA. Please email info@harrop-usa.com
