Thanks, man. I've been building around LoD for some time now and am really happy with it (as I still don;t have the full Wastes set). Wasn't sure about Bane of the Trapped but will use that now. :)
I have been enjoying your videos! I think for me the holy trinity is Trapped, powerful, and stricken. They are not always the best, but they are great in any build! Then I'd say boon of the hoarder and wreath of lightning for faster T16 content that works for any build. With just these 5 gems you'd be doing pretty good! LoD gets an honorable mention since it opens up new builds for every class and in its builds it is the strongest gem. Taeguk and Zei are great, but only work in some builds (for close range builds, bane of the powerful gives you more damage than zei, even with the 10m rounding!)
Bane of the Trapped Zei's Stone of Vengeance Simplicity's Strength Legacy of Dreams Bane of the Stricken Honorable Mentions Gem of Ease (Used only when farming) Boon of the Horder (Used only when key farming or Ugh!, bounties) Enforcer But in the end, it basically depends on what Build I am playing and what I am doing. But thanks for the video.
Hey bro, thanks for a nice video and happy holidays! I never quite got this: Stricken only stacks on the first enemy hit. Then when I change the target, it stacks on the new one. But it does remember its stacks on the first, right? Would be ridiculous if it reset every time. I can only agree with your top 5. LoD also enables me to get to my first set pieces in a season, so it has its use super early, too.
Happy holidays to you as well. I believe your understanding of stricken is correct. It can only apply a stack to one target at a time because it has an internal cooldown. The ICD is equal to x seconds where x is equal to 1 divided by your attacks per second on your characters stat sheet.
While I definitely agree with pretty much all of these I believe that the Molten Gizzard is the best as it gives almost every build it’s survivability.
Stricken up at 1 and Trapped at 2 then maybe Zei's at 3 because any build can use it. After that it's a toss up based on whatever build you are playing for damage bonus. You can farm with a variety of different gems, you can't push without Stricken. Although rarely, Trapped can be replaced in builds for their given purpose. Enforcer, Taeguk or Simplicity can replace Trapped for equal or higher damage output and then toughness also. There is nothing that can replace Stricken.. therefore #1 IMO 🍻 . Disregarding LoD cus it's sort of different....
the best legendary gem is whisper of atonement. everyone farms it and level it up to 150 and its in every pc of gear. dramatically increase dps and defense.
Well done. Pretty sure BoT would be #1 on most lists, but then after that it would be build/situation dependent. I think LoD is great for pretty much everyone early on, but then it's useless if you have a set. But watching this I'm again irked at the gems. Some are mandatory for certain builds (think Enforcer for WD/Necro pet builds) but then others are nice but pretty much useless. I've been waiting for years for Blizz to tweak some of these and make them viable. Like bumping up the damage bonus to Pain Enhancer or Wreath of Lightning. One of the best parts of D3 was always the ability to avoid cookie-cutter builds and create really good builds centered on one or two pieces of gear, and modifying some of these gems would really open up a lot of possibilities.
Depends on build. Yea there are top gems but some is more made for the class then others as going random with the top 5 may not be the way to go honestly
I still think its weird that you keep saying that every video is a brand new video. You do realize that your videos will still be watched by new people several years from now.
While I understand what you're trying to say, I must respectfully disagree. To say that pure balance exists and everything is build dependent is just wrong. It's objectively true that a gem such as Bane of the Trapped is substantially better than Mirinae or Mutilation Guard. While the developers hope to achieve balance, pure balance never exists and certain gems are clearly better than others regardless of the context.
Taeguk, bane of stricken, bane of trapped for my whirlwind barb.

Glad to hear that you found the info helpful. Thanks for the comment! :)

Really appreciate it! Solid list as well and agree with your picks!
Great info thanks 👍
Bane of the Trapped
Zei's Stone of Vengeance
Simplicity's Strength
Legacy of Dreams
Bane of the Stricken
Honorable Mentions
Gem of Ease (Used only when farming)
Boon of the Horder (Used only when key farming or Ugh!, bounties)
Enforcer
But in the end, it basically depends on what Build I am playing and what I am doing. But thanks for the video.

I love Molten Wildebeest's Gizzard. Great for protecting Squirt's Necklace buff! I did consider it for the list as well.

I dig it!
Your character has a cool shadow there, I got a ring today that spawns a ghoul that follows you so I have him , three wolves and another follower.
Nice :)

Haha true!

It’s brand new to everyone who watches it for the first time lol
There isn't one gem better than other. It all depends on what class you are playing with and what build you have on.
