@@christianmingle3394 Pretty sure that's because he literally edited it to say 1 in Chrome and then showed the current page (2). This is a December 2021 video talking about a September 2021 run after all.

Good race there :D By the time, I didn't understand why I dropped so much speed in the end. I felt like I got it very good and was surprised you caught up that much. After the bounce and our speed difference, there was nothing I could've done to prevent you overtaking me. Always not the nicest feeling. I lost quite often matches in the last corner, but this time not by safing :D
I feel the need to make a correction here: "Pulling a Wirtual" does NOT mean to choke or to fail in a spot where you're ahead. Anyone can do that. Pulling a Wirtual means to be in a dire moment of need, where things may seem lost but there's still a possibility of success. Everything from that point onwards needs to be perfect. THEN you choke.
This brings to mind those marathon runners or pro cyclists who decide to throw their arms out in celebration right as they come to the finish line, only to trip / crash and get overtaken at the last second.
Exactly, it needs to be a massive W that suddenly becomes an L at the very end. It is the fall of a god to the depths of mortality, the moment at which the beloved tsar becomes known as a vile dictator, seemingly through the whims of the fates. That perfect instant of utter failure is a Wirtual.
Clarles Leclerc pulled a Wirtual at the Monaco GP. The home-hero - a monegasque native. Dominated qualifying and started on pole position. Led the first part of the race. Threw everything away due to Ferrari calling him into the pits _by accident_ because of a communication error. This is the pure essence of pulling a Wirtual.

I wouldn't really say Wirt is an all rounder, all players are 'good' on all surfaces but just tend to be exceptional at one. For Wirtual that tends to be RPG and backwards style stuff that he excels at.
I feel like Wirtual excels at adaptation. There was a stream he did at pathfinding against Scrapie, and I was in awe at how quickly he could find a route through the maps. In awe at Scrapie, too, but Wirtual seemed to be able to intuit the unknown/unexpected extremely well.
In general, I'd say he's good at the "kinda janky" stuff like TMNF dirt (not really 2020 dirt), and then RPG's/trials and backwards as you say. He's also pretty good at ice because he recently spent a lot of time to specifically get better at that.

Legendary map design. I think it takes a ton of skill to design a map the way you did. It’s good enough to be featured as the Cup of the Day map. It’s weird enough so that no specialist can just come in and win. It’s perfect for showing off what Cup of the Day does best. You aren’t just going “Oh, this is another full speed map,” this map uses mechanics of this game that really aren’t featured in most tracks. You had to have knowledge of mechanics like how running into plastic works, how water physics work, and how to get a weird bounce angle to finish at the end. Very interesting stuff.
I find that the following strategy works well when trying to win a Trackmania Tournament: 1. Go as far as possible in the tournament, preferably till the end 2. Go as fast as possible, preferably faster than anybody else
@@lambandham2925 @l Leão l @Kolscor I know, guys! Thanks for the kind words! However, I feel that both aspects are already covered by above rules and listing them explicitly might just lead to too much confusion. ;)

Actually, "pulling a Wirtual" means getting the opposite of what the chances looked like a moment ago. So both choking and clutching are possible outcomes, depending on what the odds looked like.
