I think the deckover is a more versatile unit. Those wheel wells will get in the way more often than not. With a flat deck over, someone can pick the back end of an item up with a forklift and you can back your trailer under it, and then they can lift up the other side and slide it on your trailer. This is good in a situation where you have a heavy item being loaded, and the person on-site only has a limited capacity loader.
HDT all the way! A 4ft static deck area and 12-14' tilt is perfect for paving contractors like us. Easily able to haul a water tote, fuel tank or attachment and traffic control items up front with an asphalt roller or skid steer on tilt area. Super versatile and customizable. We'll be ordering for spring that's for sure!
I have a White DET on order currently through y'alls dealer, Kawasaki of Caldwell. It's mostly optioned out and y'all should do a video on it for your youtube channel as I haven't found many videos of that trailer and am unsure what to expect to be honest. Thanks Thanks
When you drive with a tilt trailer how do you know that the tilt won't activate while pulling it and get you in a wreck? And can tilt trailers be modded or changed to permanently lock the tilt from opening?
The gravity tilt can come down when u don't want it to. Saw this happen to a guy loading his long bed crew cab truck with a cummins in it. Got 2/3 on n it started coming down. Power hydraulic for me.
My concern with the DHT is that its gravity lowered….. what if you have a purple of smaller pieces of equipment that need to be loaded. When you pull the first one full forward, if its longer than the front deck, how do you get the 2nd piece on?

There is 10ft in front of the tilt so it's important to make sure the equipment you plan on hauling accommodates. I would use an LPX in that case. 👍

It could but the most popular option for a dozer pulling with a dump truck is a PX with Max Ramps!
