Take the skylight off and separate the aluminum frame from the plexiglass/Lexan and remove the old caulk. Use xylene to remove the crud and clean completely. Install new 1/4"x1" butyl tape around the perimeter. Add extra butyl caulk to the corners. Put the frame back over the plexiglass and firmly press the whole perimeter to adhere. Add a bead of butyl over the top to frame/glass and use a small caulk knife to smooth the bead.

Thank you! Hey, I am so glad you are back. Sorry if I offended you last time. That was not the intention. Turbo Poly Seal does not work on glass, although one of my older videos I did use that. Super Silicone Seal is the only product that I have found to work on plexi glass, glass, metal. There is no need to cover the silicone since UV's does not harm it.

Silicon in a tube is a glue, if it's made for spreading its a bonding sealant. The clear has to be applied between two fitting parts. The colored can bond on any open surface without cracking and releasing.

The problem is that as fantastic as watching this video is , it's kinda a case of wanting this magic to work , especially for those who've already tried various failed solutions .
The vomments don't help because everyone says "UUU , Thanks , "
I'M GONNA TRY IT " , so there's no confirmation that it works .
And even the "Short Term Testimonials" are of no confirmation , because as one response here states "even bubble gum may last for a few weeks" . What pizzles me is that videos for this product go back several years , why are there no longer term testimonials? Those would be the only ones of worthwhile verification .
Personally , I'd shown this to a roofer who used it on s skylight and it worked for I think 6 months to a year , I forget the time frame exactly , but then started to leak again . Yhis would conflict with the video which says "as good as (as sealed as) new.
But one experience is not enough to reach s conclusion , I wish there were many longer term responses of several years use order to get a more decisive opinion as opposed to million "Gee , thanksalot, looks great , I'M GONNA TRY IT " . 🤔

re the "testimony"- the repair lasted 3 weeks. Big deal. Bubble gum might work for 3 weeks. Let's see a testimony from a repair 10 or even 5 years later- much less "forever". This product may or may not be the best available for the glass to cladding junction (I'm still researching), but touting success after only a few weeks is very suspect. I do know Through the Roof works well for a couple of years, then fails.
