I was driving home from visiting a friend's place and I'm so glad I stopped at my storage unit in Melrose Park. Otherwise I would have been driving in the worst of it to West Chicago. You're live stream was great to watch while I waited for it to clear up
We were hunkered down, as we we are in Geneva, right in the crosshairs. No touch down, but it was wild!!
No tornado, but insane lightning strikes.

Just an update for your Sunday stream - that rotation you were watching did produce an EF0 in Glen Ellyn, between Wheaton and Lombard.
Lived in this area (southwest of Joliet) for 10 years, I had 5 tornadoes within 1/2 mile or directly over my home. One was an F-4 to F - 5 wedge type. I'll never forget watching it take out a complete farm with outbuildings. My house just a 1/2 mile away was creepy still as can be. It went on to level an almost new school to the north and east of there.
Across the highway a mile down Rt. 6 was a chemical plant it ripped apart a weather shelter type building that contained blueprints. The blueprints ended up in my partial fence line that was left along with my neighbors out building. I called the company, and they had an employee there in less than 5 minutes. They were grateful and acted like it was their only set of prints. This was early to mid 80s.
Got here too late for the live, but appreciate knowing you are there watching out for people. My niece lives in Wheaton and was included for a little bit in the warnings.

I live in Elgin Il, and was just a little North of where the warnings were. We did get the Tornado siren, went to the basement, and mainly allot of wind and rain came down in our area. Did not lose any power. The storm went through very quickly.
Waiting to see what storms come through toady (Monday), possible could get the same thing today with high winds and allot of rain.

Tornado ripped through Esmond right through my parents Farm took out the cabin where me and my wife and daughters sleep almost killing my wife and daughter if it wasn't that she decided to stay in the car she would have went with the cabin the tornado went directly over her shaking the car violently in sliding it over into the cornfield

Kane County here, not sure how I missed the warning on my phone ? IN any case not even many leaves on the ground, so must have settled down. Where did any tornado(es) actually touch down ? I am near 47 and I-90 . have done lots of tree work in the St Charles area, lots of tall mature trees there.
