Wow.
Thank you.
My son has missed 2 yrs of schooling ,because his SEN specific senior school, were failing him.
LA, have now given me a working document to write his EHCP,.
I now have a greater understanding.
Aim for the ludicrous to haggle with LA, TO receive the bear minimum
The layout of the EHCP is very different from borough to borough. Be mindful when following this video.
Whilst the format of the EHC Plan will vary from LA to LA, they must all still include all the sections covered in the video. The key sections where specificity and quantification are crucial concerns Sections B and F. These are universally poorly drafted by ALL LAs.
Can you advise how section F should be layed out. Should it be broken down into 4 sections like Section B ? Example Communication and Interaction, Learning and Cognition? Etc etc
It depends on the Local Authority template that is used. There is no standard template currently.
@@sen4you714 so my childs EHCP layout is different on Section F compared to section B.
Example:
Section B (Strengths/Needs) is broken down into 4 subheadings.
- Communication and Interaction
- Cognition and Learning
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health
- Sensory and Physical Needs.
Section F is broken down into following subheadings:
- Education/ Preparation for Employment
Learning environment
- Required competencies of teaching staff
- Adult support (teacher/teaching assistant) within the classroom
- Strategies and learning resources to meet AA special educational needs - including:
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Independence Skills
Adult support (teacher/teaching assistant) within the classroom:
- Strategies and learning resources to meet AA special educational needs - including:
- Having Friends, Relationships and Being Part of the Community
Learning environment
- Health
Strategies and learning resources to meet AA special educational needs including:
So how do I correlate/relate the provisions on Section F to the Needs stated on section B if the subheadings are completey different on both sections B and F.
