I would love to one day go passenger in that 80 on some tracks. It's so capable and Sam seems to pick some really really good lines. And I'm a Nissan man too lol.
@@brandontandy507 it’s a really capable car but i rekon with no game changing canopy and less lift it would go anywhere (only with the treps on though those hankooks aren’t much to rave about) 😂
Nice video guys,, Wanna ask your opinion, between those tires you're on, Maxxis Treps, Simex Centipede? Silverstone? Or the Simex Jungle Trekker, which has been the best tires in your opinion.
Maxxis bias ply Maxxis Trepadors are the best of what you listed as in the best all around serious off road tyre(Also Mickey Thompson Baja Pro XS(the X version is not road legal) if you have 17 inch wheels). Though Accelera Badak X-treme(35x10.50-16(35.6) are there biggest size), Mud Trepadors, and Interco Boggers are a better choice for more soupy or clay based mud.
Hey mate, this is my very unofficial view but just from our experience, Treps are the best all rounder tyre, the only thing they get beaten in is when it comes to straight slop as they don't clear out as easy as the other tyres you mentioned. I dont have a heap of experience with the others but sam has had a fair bit, from memory he really liked the jungle trekkers, id buy the centipedes over the Silverstones but you can get silverstones really cheap (got my set for $400) Treps on beadlocks over rock destroys the other tyres and are still good in slop, just need decent power to clear them out sometimes As mentioned there is heaps of other tyres out there too that could be worth looking into but we dont have any experience with them
@@livin4x4 One of the key advantages of the Badak over the Boggers is more resistance to slipping sidways because the Badak has T shaped lugs instead of the Boggers tube of toothpaste shaped lugs. Thought I would mention this to you, since you said that you weren't familiar👍 Also mabye Accellera could sponsor your ride, if they get popular enough they might expand the number Badak X-treme tyre sizes👍😄👍
As a Rugby player in the states I can only get rugby shorts at proper length. Where do you guys get your shorts? Brand name? Thanks in advanced from thighs that need freed!
Sam runs 8 in the treps, on the razrs i run 16, ive tried running them lower and I pop them off the rim/get mud in the bead, the silverstones i run 18 as you can see they pop off the rim pretty easy (2 trips on them and i popped 6 tyres off the rim) so I either need to get beadlocks to run lower pressure or get different tyres, they dont really bag out unless you have beadlocks so I might go that direction Not all tyres behave the same and you gotta take into account the the weight of the vehicles to (im currently always about 3.1t now 🥴) I've heard of people in super light hilux's running centipedes with 0 psi in them and not having an issue 😂 im not an expert at all, still experimenting
🔥best way to start the weekend
FIFTY TWO MINUTES.... Right watching this one the TV... rippa
thanks once again for inviting me out!

They were some bloody hard tracks in less than ideal conditions boys .

This 80 does a lot better than that spear box one

So when is this "Basic Science" sticker coming out? xD
Nice vid boys.
Damn sams 80 is a weapon 😍
Absolutely love the troopy though
Love the vids keep it up
The 80 without the canopy on is a bit like a reverse mullet. A lot going on in the front and nothing in the back.
westerns had been graded about 4 weeks prior to you doing the track, the ruts were mega deep before getting dozed
its pretty chewed up again. good fun!
