    I’d like for Blood Knights to get a bit of a buff. They’re one of the most prestigious cavalry units in the Old World along side Grail Knights and Grail Knights already got a big buff. I’m not sure what they need exactly, but I think their lack of AP hurts them when trading against other heavy cav or monsters

      Maybe something like decaying ap after charging. Turn 50% of their non ap into ap after charging and let it decay over 15 seconds like the charge bonus.

    Subutai is masterclass in playing VC. That is a textbook of having many high priority targets and moving them around in such a way you are not able to kill them and they regenerate to the limit. That is why I don't like Salamanders in here - might work against weaker player, but old wolf like Subutai will either fall back behind the lines so they don't have range or quickly assault them with dogs to distract from shooting. And if you need to kill every elite enemy unit twice, then you can't win.

    The lizard player made a mistake not healing those salamanders at the beginning. They were the only units capable of beating back lords and large units for the lizardman.

    From my experience the battle toad is surprisingly hard to kill because the big HP pool and them just having a janky hitbox (especially when routing)

    Black knights can safely be reduced in price. Regular black knights could drop like 50 gold, and the barded version 100 gold. Their main selling point is that they have high WS but otherwise don't look that impressive compared to knights at a similar price point.
    But blood knights aren't fine in my book. They could easily drop 100 gold and they still wouldn't be great. They are now the slowest horse cavalry unit in the game, on part with chaos knights. Blood knights need their base/AP damage ratio swapped and their speed buffed to 84. So a 'grail rework' if you will. Counts don't really have any unit that has both AP and AL, outside of the lackluster terrorgheist, and it would be nice if an iconic unit like blood knights would fill that role.

      @@jacobtorti1486 Tons of factions have healing now, vamps arent even close to being the best at it anymore. Its also only a strong mechanic when its a bonus, not a mandatory crutch to make otherwise bad units into decent ones. That's why other VC units like infantry have low cost and/or high hp.

      I agree with the grail k ight treatment, if you mean reducing their numbers while increasing their stats, bringing them closer to the depthguards of the coast.

      Black knights have already been boosted quite a lot since WH2 and they are arguably better than the Lizards medium cavalry options.

    They should give Mannfred the 'Shiny Baldy' aura that reduces enemy accuracy, melee attack and melee defence.

    Domination game mode is probably one of the best things they've added to total war. If they could implement it into campaign field battles somehow like it is with MP and also add Dom to historical total war games as well.

      If dom-format would become new single player battles it wouldn't be total war anymore. Turin himself also says it, to same effect anyway.

    Black Knights could use a cost reduction of maybe around a 100-150 gold on both variants. Statwise they are between empire knights and knights of the blazing sun in price and stats, but I'd argue that they need to be more cost effective in VC roster since they aren't acting as peeling units for any ranged. Blood knights have that issue where you are paying 1700 gold for an elite cavalry unit that doesn't have AP, so it feels like a really niche pick. And I guess hexwraiths are supposed to be their AP cavalry option, but much like all ethereal units they desperately need a stat buff. 55% physical resist and full AP damage isn't good enough to compensate for godawful melee attack, melee defence and charge bonus.

      Ethereal units' physical resist has a huge stat deficit to overcome, which it barely does even when they fight ideal targets, i.e. high armor, no magic damage. If anyone shows up with magic damage-which is a lot of units now-they just evaporate. Maybe they should all have Stalk?

      @@emultra759 I think they should have similar MD as units in similar role in the price range. For syreens and cairn wraiths I'd buff their MA and hexwraiths should have better CB. The issue is that they aren't hitting things.

    I know it sounds silly but it would be funny if the Lore of Life spells did damage to undead, cast Earthblood on the enemy like a Flock of Doom or Regrowth on a SE like a Spirit Leech.

      It isn't silly. Most fantasy worlds operate that way.
      Warhammer however is first and foremost a battle game. All this is centered around the tabletop game and the videogames are technically spin offs.
      Lastly (and that's quite obvious) it would be a bit OP if it were to happen.

    I wonder if Hexwraiths could have a place in this matchup. 94 speed and Strider make them blaze through forests, and they cause terror as well. Put Vanhel's Dance Macabre on them and let them shred the backline shooters.

      that’s the part that sucks, they NEED Vanhels to do anything lol. Their melee stats are so horrible, low 20s in MA/MD.
      Someone was saying in another comment about how ethereal units need buffs and I agree. Would be really cool for Vamps to have some special advantage as a faction, because healing isn’t special anymore in this game lol…

    I actually made a mod buffing the black knights cause I had the exact same feeling as Turin. You would think that grave guard on dead horses would be at least medium cavalry instead of the wet noodles they are now.

      Reading their descriptions and lore, you'd think Grave Guard, Black Knights, and Blood Knights are nigh unbeatable. The most powerful skeleton warriors and the most warrior capable vampires I think should be more powerful. BUT that's not looking at things from a balance perspective.

    I'd be interested to see the addition of either a Stegladon or skink chief to take out Manfred, one other interesting tactic would be a high magic Slann and Tempest, I haven't seen that for a long time. If they killed Manfred I don't see any way back for the vampire counts in that game.
    Another option possibly would be net spell plus lots and lots of shooting for the dragon.

    No way kislev is still the dark lord of healing, they lost the item on patriach last patch (unless this is an old video). That said I think they can reverse the change to the vampire lore passive, at least partially.

    The toads are just as bad in SP (relative to the AI's skill level, that is, obv a serious human player works miracles compared to the AI) you'll end up wasting your character squad all battle and still not finishing them off before they run out of mana.

    all the complain about how strong healing is on Kislev, even claiming it would be better than VC despite thats resurrecting. Then there is Lore of 1-click with Fate of Bjuna just destroying any good unit with that amount of entities. How is that balanced?

    I feel like a unit that literally sits in a chair should not have more then 5 melee defense, it makes no sense to me

      Is it in the lore that the magical chair lets him automatically dodge attacks?
      Magic reducing his like incoming damage would be fine for me, i am only talking about melee defense
      I like your point tho with his back being invincible, it is a high chair after all

      @@indigo7898 I remember reading one story about a Slann turning a cannonball into a cloud of smoke mid-air, that sounds like a difficult opponent, plus there are skinks on his chair too, so shouldn't be a soft target. Although realistically a fully powered Slann would be horrifically unbalanced, I quite like their current nature, weak in melee but oddly difficult to kill, although their magical attacks are surprisingly strong.

    domination is such a dumbed down way to play the game. land battle is much better.

      hard disagree. “Hurrr face smash grind” is way less interesting than objective play and opens huge issues with gameplay style needing an endless variety of community rules to work

      Turin mentions a good example of a flaw with land battle - some races' playstyle can be invalidated by refusing to engage. It's telling that all serious land battles use rules to force attacking, both initially and during the endgame. Otherwise they'd all devolve into the sort of shenanigans you see Legend doing in singleplayer. Domination solves this by making excessive turtling and kiting riskier.

      I would disagree that domination is the dumbed down way because it quite literally is a land battle with additional mechanics. That being said, I much prefer land battles over domination matches, because capture points and unit recruitment in battles just feels super gamey to me. I get the gameplay issue though, so I would just wish for domination with two full armies there from the start.

    The vampires need a soft rework on the battlefield as well as campaign. I assume Neferata will bring the latter, but I'm not sure how they could fit her themes and give her nice new units. To be fair I don't think they care a lot about the "theme" of legendary lords anymore, they sort of just give them whatever they think will sell DLCs.
    The cav definitely need a buff tho, Blood Knights are supposed to be the greatest knights in the world, vampires with potentially thousands of years of combat experience that are faster and more agile than anything that isn't an elf or slannesh based. What we have are quite frankly overpriced rubbish that don't do well at anything that isn't charging things in the rear which even any wolf unit can do as well and at a much faster pace. For starters they need AP, hell for how elite they are they should have tons of it. Especially with the dominance of chaos warriors, knights, sarus, cold one knights, kroxigor, etc etc like every faction can field a front line and cav of moderately to heavily armored soldiers and the blood knights just struggle to do as much damage as they should to those units.
