    Excellent video! I'm 65 and grew up in Southern California my whole life and have now lived in Thailand 🇹🇭 for almost one year. From my experience Thailand reminds me of the freedoms l had in the 70's and 80's growing up. I feel young and full of energy living in Bangkok and traveling throughout the country. My money buys me triple of what I'm used to paying back in the states and it's true you feel no hostility or anger when out in public. I consider this place paradise and I have no intentions of going back 😊

    As a black man in his mid 40's and living in California, watching your videos has been such an inspiration and a breath of fresh air. America has turned into a trauma-laced sh*t hole and we've all lost touch on the basic fundamentals of humanity at the sacrifice of capitalism. If I was in my 20's and didn't have elderly parents that I had to be there for I'd definitely be exploring the opportunities that living in other countries offers. At the end of the day all I want is peace, good company and enough on my plate to be able to share with others. It sounds like you do too. Keep going my guy, I love to see this sh*t 🔥🔥💯💯

    Been in Thailand since 2012. I can’t tell you how many times, til’ I’m blue in the face, I’ve told people to LEAVE the U.S. and go see something else. There is SO MUCH WORLD out there to see. Gotta leave your COMFORT ZONE, though. This gentleman is a prime example of what I’ve been telling people in the U.S. Also, he lives in BKK and once you get out of the big cities, it’s even CHEAPER! Thailand is just ONE of the MANY places where you can have a much enjoyable life, for a low cost.
    Keep doing your thing, brother. Love the perspectives!

    Things are so expensive in the states, that people's idea of fun is staying home, which is why they focus on a bigger house. In other countries, being able to get out and about on a daily basis allows a person to be comfortable having a small space because they're out living their life and so only need a place to sleep

    • @williamhartz8707
      @williamhartz8707 Месяц назад +3

      I feel Americans are pressured to buy those big houses because that is all there is. I grew up in a 3 bedroom house with one bathroom and a single attached garage. Now, the new homes are twice the size with three bathrooms, a laundry room and a 3 car garage. Young families move into these new housing developments so their children can attend better schools. If you want to live in a smaller house built in the 1950’s or 1960’s it may be in a high crime area in most cities. You’re stuck buying one of those 450,000-550,000+ dollar houses. With monthly house and car payments you have no money left to go out in the evening.

    You are a very astute and clever young man. It’s not often that I sit listening to someone and agreeing with everything they say. I think people are starting to understand that less is more. Who needs a big house, flash car but spend most of your time stressed out and working to pay it off. Most people I know are in that situation but can’t get released from the mortgage/loans strangling them. I gave up a well paid job and moved to Bangkok. I have a lot less things now but am now stress free and happy. I’m glad you see it for what it is. You have so much freedom to change the course of your life when you have nothing than what you do at 40 when you have lots of things but are trapped and unhappy. I could go on and on but would just be repeating what you said. You are excellent at getting your points across clearly and concisely. Keep up the good work. PS. People find some American accents loud and overbearing and switch off but you have a nice soft accent which is easy to listen to. Don’t lose it!

    I am an American now retired in Thailand. I worked overseas for 40 years in five different countries and realized we Americans are brainwashed to think we are the best country to live in. It’s a different place than back 20,,,30…40+ years ago. Capitalism at its worst where profits are more important than compassion. Boeing’s downfall, corporate monopolies driving up prices, no universal healthcare; yet we pay some of the highest prices for healthcare …are some of the examples of the cracks in corporate USA. ( and don’t get me started on our tribal political parties…)
    For me having “been there; done that” I am now less materialistic and am not pressured to keep up with the Jones since I am living away from America and choose to be more minimalistic. ( and My social group here do not sit around talking about hip or knee replacements, USA politics or always complaining. Living overseas has helped me to get away from the rat race and stress. Thai culture of “sabai sabai” and not being judgmental towards others has made me a better person.

    All of these points are spot on. Currently in that 'selling all my stuff' phase which is taking about 4 months because I amassed so much over the years, and it's mind boggling. As kind of scary as it is to think of paring down that much, I'm looking forward to that transition of just having a few bags and being mobile. My own experience of exploring Thailand earlier this year has led to many conversations about these topics, and certainly hearing the same disappointments with U.S. across the board. Glad that there are some informative video creators such as yourself to help fill in all the blanks while researching everything!

    Everything you've highlighted is 100% facts! Unfortunately, many realize this but have been beat to submission and see no way out of the cycle until death 😢 so sad..

    I'm 28, I got tired of the hysteria here in America, I can't trust anyone anymore and they don't trust me. I said no more, saved some money, took some certification classes and found a job overseas and will be moving in September

    🎉 I love living in Thailand and love shopping at Makro for beef rolls... basically ribeye steak. Since the beef is good quality and not expensive 😁 I' m going on a carnivore diet.

    You nailed it. Glad you got the hell out while you are young enough to adjust. My wife is thai. We are in the US right now selling everything and bailing by August. It's been a good run, but the US is a dead end.

    Man you're videos are beyond eye opening and a genuine wake up call. Im a 48 yr old single parent of 2 teens that are about to graduate HS. Soon as they've established themselves as adults im moving to Thailand. I refuse to keep tricking myself as to thinking the American Dream still exists. Thank you for making it make sense.

    Greetings brother! A comment/shout out/reach out is long overdo. I watched a lot of you and Zoom before I came and you both helped me in unplugging from the MATRIX. If possible I'd love to have you come and do a condo tour of my place. I'm in Jomtien at La Santir but I'm moving to Riviera Ocean Drive next month so hopefully you'll have time before then. My condo is one of a kind but the novelty (and price) has worn off. I hope to hear from you soon. Btw that's 120 baht for a kilo of chicken wings at Tesco Lotus. That's $3.29 usd for 2.2 lbs. This life is unbelievable! I'm a 53 yr old blk male who's been here since 11/7/23 and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner! Life is good and cheap!!!!!!
