    Thanks for the video!
Recently stumbled on an old (1905 - 1925) Doldonia wall clock in a charity shop here in the UK for next to nothing. Not running, but it felt like the spring was just slipping when attempting to wind, and it ran poorly for 30 seconds or so, so I bought it.
Wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a hook where the pin is on the great wheel that had snapped. The hole end in the mainspring was very elongated from many years of winding so I did some manipulating of the spring with pliers, managed to get it to run properly. Runs really nicely too! The manipulating caused a stress point that snapped however so I have a new spring on the way. Really good to know the wheel is as it should be and I won't have to do any modification.
I've always wanted a proper clock - I can see where this one has been repaired several times over the years, clearly very well loved. The glass over the face is missing, but the rest of the glass is perfect. Not a mark on it. The case is in good condition too! I feel very lucky to have the chance be its next custodian and thankful for your videos! Can't wait for the spring to arrive.
