This is the best tutorial I've come across about Numark DJ2GO2 Touch. A short and solid tutorial for an impatient beginner like myself. This tutorial definitely needs more views!
It works with VirtualDJ, as well! Definitely on my need-to-get list. It is great to have something like that in my travel bag for those just-in-case times.
I have the previous version, DJ2GO2 with Serato Lite and I have never been able to pre-listen/cue/monitor without the audio going out through the speakers as well. Any solutions?
i didnt like the previous versions of this but it had potential. With the better jogs i would find this useful as i am often away from my gear but my computer goes where i go and this would be cool for trying ideas out and setting loops and cues on the go.Also small parties would be good just bring this and my mac and then back in the bag job done.
We don't tend to do reviews of specific combinations like that but thanks for the suggestion. If you have any questions I'd suggest checking out the Algoriddim forums, they're pretty busy and usually very helpful :)
Good evening. I read that the controller does not record, but from the running pc can it be done? I would like to buy the Numark pt01 and record what I do. Could I do it with the Numark djgo2 touch? Otherwise what mixer or controller would I need? Thanks so much!
Pretty cool little controller. Apart from it's function as a travel controller, I'm wondering if it's possible to map the browse and cue point buttons to my rekordbox DVS setup in addition to an external mixer (23c)? Purely for basic track browse/load and cue point functions .
Hello. Just bought the numark dj2go touch with serato lite. I already have DJ Pro setup on my laptop because I also have the pioneer flx6. how do I use my numark DJ2Go touch on my already installed Serato Pro without having to upgrade and pay for the upgrade
Hello- Great review - thank you. Will this controller also support Serato Video within Serato DJ Pro please? I'd like to use the platters to scrub through video footage...
what a great video. thanks so much for going over everything especially the adapters because this will be sent directly from amazon to my nephew in another state. stay safe and thanks again!
I need on to practice because im not always in my room and moving my ddj 400 back and forward is a hassle. I use rekordbox tho im thinking of getting the dj2go2 touch or ddj 200 for practice wich one you reccomend
Hello! I have purchased NewMark DJGO2 Touch which says to be compatible with my DJayPro app but I have an issue :(. The sound in the speaker (I tried few) is delayed compared to the headphones. FYI I am using an iPad and all are connected by wires. Also checked different wires. Otherwise I love the controller and Thank You for your great reviews. What should I do?
I wish Denon , Pioneer , and serato would make a small compact controller similar to this specifically for beat grid editing and preparation (not performance) no eqs basic ability to play two tracks together via sync to ensure maybe your mix out cue and starting point on another track worked together. I think if they could make it affordable enough it would be a great product.
DJ Ace Yeah man. I would love to have some kind of tactile/compact grid editing tool that I could take on trips or just do prep while sitting on my bed with the laptop. no output needed, just headphones and a way to access grid edit functions and set cue points.
Hi, I'm not sure if anyone can help. I have the dj2go2 and I'm having an issue with a delay in the headphones. So the track is playing from the deck and im queuing up the next track to mix in. The track that is to be mixed in and whilst im listening via the headphone to the 2nd track to mix in are out of sync even though I'm listening to the track in my headphone. Its just not playing at the same time snd appears to be some latency, It's very frustrating. I've tried a couple of different headsets so it's not that. Can anyone help. At the moment I'm just playing through my laptop speakers but I've also tried playing through a speaker and it's just the same. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers. Paul
Great video with lots of detail. I need a bit of help though. I'm thinking to get my first DJ controller. It's either the DJ2GO2 Touch or the Party Mix. I'm leaning towards the DJ2GO2 Touch because of its form factor, but the absence of line faders worries me. Is it a big deal they these only have a cross fader? Would the Party Mix be a better choice for starting out?
@@digitaldjtips Sorry, I have one more question. I found a second hand Numark Mixtrack Pro 1 for the same price as a second hand Party Mix. It's quite an old model (8 years or so), but would it be better since it's more full featured?
Nice review, thanks Phil. Quick one, is it possible to have this (or any other controller like this one) connected to your laptop along side a Pioneer DJM Mixer (DJM-450 for example)? basically use the mixer as a mixer and soundcard etc and have the controller to control the tracks etc in parallel? Also does this work with Traktor Pro 3? Thanks
Thank you for the nice review! I have one unanswered question though. In case I just wanted to mix some music for myself at home without headphones, could I just connect my laptop with some bluetooth speakers or would the speakers need to be connected directly with the DJ2GO? Thank you in advance!
FYI, most Bluetooth speakers that have an aux in have latency and delay so you can’t really dj with them. The minirig speakers don’t but they’re expensive. Best solution I found is using computer AC speakers
If you're using Traktor you could map the level knobs to be filters or bass instead if you really wanted to. I have one of the original 2GOs and was thining of doing this.
Hey Phil! I am using the Serato DJ Lite software but the crossfader doesn't seem to work! Could you please suggest a solution? Great fan of your videos by the way!!!

Even WITH the Touch upgrade, it's not a very good compact controller tbh. I bought it as a backup to prepare playlists and maybe spin at small parties, i.e. a BBQ at my friend's house. But even for that, it's a pain in the a** really. The main reason is the lack of EQs - try mixing two house tracks with a heavy bassline without distortion, if no EQs are present at all! I did a little workaround by remapping the level knobs to HPF/LPF, so that I could at least fade out some bass by applying a slight HPF effect. Still, I kinda regret buying this thing, but then again, it only cost me around 60€ which isn't too much to worry about.
Do not feel bad bro I have done the same thing. I was hoping that the guitar center had the touch but allegedly they were sold out so I pick up the DJ2GO2 FOR $65.00 which was not bad but really wanted the touch.
This was a awesome Review. I still got my starlight Hercules till this day I know few of my DJ buddy's goin use it asap 👊🏾. Keep up the work. Funk Up Salute Peace ✌🏾

Hello. Just bought the numark dj2go touch with serato lite. I already have DJ Pro setup on my laptop because I also have the pioneer flx6. how do I use my numark DJ2Go touch on my already installed Serato Pro without having to upgrade and pay for the upgrade
You can't, as you don't actually own Serato DJ Pro, the FLX6 is unlocking it for you. You'd have to actually buy it.
No mic input? Need that
Could always use a small external mixer :)
Would I be able to connect this via usb to the Rane Seventy to get extra channels? I want a 3rd channel for accapellas.
Is this now technically the cheapest way to get a 4-out audio interface, now that Numark stopped the DJIO and NI stopped the Audio 2 etc?
Maybe, I am sure you can get non-branded 4-out audio interfaces if you look hard enough
If this tiny unit was just a tad wider and could fit EQ on it, it'd be a must-have for me.
Would be a nice addition
would of considered this for some party’s but the no eq is a dealbreaker for me
Yeah even a single knob would be a nice addition

Maybe I'll run into you at NAMM. get some sleep lol

Very nice video.i can ad some of my music from my laptop?and also i can record?im not a dj but i like to try?
Yes you can use local music on your Laptop to DJ with, you'll need to upgrade to Serato Pro to record though
Quick question I'm thinking about purchasing that can you scratch can you transform how do you control the wheel when you going back and forth
Just like any other...but way smaller :)
hi i know this is an older video but has anyone tried using a wireless bluetooth transmitter to wireless bluetooth speakers with this?
You cannot DJ with Bluetooth, there is too much latency.
Thanks for a great video and explanation. One of the best on on youtube. What is the name of the end mix of the video?
It's an unreleased track from our very own Joey Santos :)

Yes you can, but you shouldn't - music is cheap to buy
So not that much of a change it would be better if they could an EQ section
Small changes :)
Agreed! 👍🏻 EQs would be a great addition but given the size of it I can see why they left them off. Still looks a good bit of kit.

No, but there are regularly Serato DJ Pro discounts - make sure you're on their mailing list and be patient.
All that needs to have is an extra 2cm in height and they can add a 3 band EQ using knobs running along the top! What gives Numark?
