Major Structure Fire at Hume - Multiple ACTFR units onscene - 26 Dec 2022

Video of the scene several hours after the blaze first broke out. Emergency Services received the first call at 10:40pm with reports of massive plumes of smoke rising over the city.
ESA update at 11:00pm:
Firefighters are continuing work to contain a structure fire in a recycling facility at the intersection of John Cory Rd & Recycling Rd in Hume.
ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Ambulance, and ACT Policing are in attendance.
Smoke is travelling from the incident location in a northeast direction. Residents of Jerrabomberra & Queanbeyan are advised to close windows and remain indoors if affected...
