The main temple with two buildings on top is the temples of tlaloc and huitzilopotchli aka el templo mayor, other temples were in worship of other deitys or aspects of life such as xipototec, quetzalkoatl ect.. there was the great snake wall wich encompassed the citys center and divided the the rest of the city.. by the way its not aztek its mexikatl - the people of the bitter tasting reed. dude imagine if this city was around today. This was built in the 1400s/1500s and it still holds up as an incredible and breathtaking city today. It would be the economic capital of the new world and it would be one of Earths most visited cities. So sad to see this incredible city deconstructed to build Mexico City.

Well if the spanish hadn't come it's likely aztec civilisation would have continued, but who knows for how long, they conquered many peoples and every year they sacrificed thousands of prisoners to their gods, they had many enemies, i think at some point they woud have clashed against mayan city states to the south since the aztecs were expanding to the south. It was because of all the enemies of the aztecs that the spanish were able to have many allies to defeat the aztecs in 1521.

It's likely that the Inkas would have made contact with the southernmost of the Maya, who may have happily formed an alliance and invaded the Valley of Mexico. Blending the technology and culture of the Andes, Central America, and Mexico would quite likely have resulted in a far more formidable land if Europeans found it a 150 or so years later. Certainly hard to say what would have been better, but the Conquistadors were bad, as were the elite of Mexico.

Tenochtitlan was twice as big as the biggest European cities. They just didn't get the memo about gunpowder from the chinese and that was why they lost this beautiful city.

It's likely that the Inkas would have made contact with the southernmost of the Maya, who may have happily formed an alliance and invaded the Valley of Mexico. Blending the technology and culture of the Andes, Central America, and Mexico would quite likely have resulted in a far more formidable land if Europeans found it a 150 or so years later. Certainly hard to say what would have been better, but the Conquistadors were bad, as were the elite of Mexico.

In terms of lore it wouldn’t work. The assassin order was created in the old world. Now you could say some secret assassin expedition somehow discovered the Americas but that just seems like a copout. The only way it could work is if it takes place during the arrival of the conquistadors.
