These four walls (especially Jades verse) is about Jades grandfather passing away. She was really close to him. The lyrics "I tried to eat today But the lump in my throat got in the way" is about the fact that jade got anorexia after his death
Word Up was a charity single they did for Sports Relief which helps raise money for impoverished people around the world. Around the time of its release the girls went to Liberia, Africa to help distribute supplies and meet the people there.

Before you dive into DNA you should know that Perrie had her tonsil remove in 2012, the DNA album was recorded before that so her voice is a lot deeper in DNA album
Word Up actually is not part of salute, it's a charity song they made for Comic Relief and last year they added it to the expanded version of the album
Not gonna lie.. your reactions are taken straight out of what goes on in my head I am living for This right now lol. Sad about Jesy leaving but mental health and self growth is super important!
Perry was the one who hit that note on About The Boy, and she also is the powerhouse to me. Perry is the queen of high notes and Leigh-Anne hits me with the raspiness, while Jesy had that deep and warm voice and Jade rocks all over the place.
Leigh is a powerhouse too and has amazing high notes. Her voice is raspy though jades is sometimes and soft Most times. Jesy has the most unique voice. People love perries high notes but I prefer her head voice she should use it more
One of my favorite things about Little Mix as a whole is that they never tear down other women. Almost every other female artist or group out there has a song about how they’re better than the girl that their ex is with or something to that effect. They’ve never done anything like that and I’m so happy about it.
@@maraw8658 "when he's with me bitches hate me" literally the are tearing down woman bc of a MAN ¿?¿?? im a mixer but they putted that song in lm5 when was about female empowerment
Some people already said the part about tried to eat today but the lump in my throat got in the way part. This song was written with them sitting in a room talking about sad moment and people they've lost. And that's mostly gonna be Jade and her emotions because lossing her grandpa was one of the worst experience in her life which lead to years of aftermath. The part what if I had one more night for goodbye. Jade said in their book she left to the hospital thinking she would come visit him tmr, but he passed away that day.
These four walls is about what jade went through after her grandfather's death.....the line that hits the hardest in the song is jade singing "I tried to eat today but the lump in my throat got in the way" because a few years after the release of this song Little Mix released their book in which Jade confessed that she had become anorexic because of the depression she went through at that time to the point that she was hospitalized because she collapsed
You should 100% listen to good enough live on the salute tour (Bournemouth was a good one) because there’s an extended bridge which is so beautiful I can’t even describe it it’s my favourite live performance by far
The Word Up cover was part of the Sports Relief fund raising challenge and the music video had a Mel C cameo. The interesting story behind this song was Little Mix actually traveled to Liberia to do some documentary promotional work and if you watch the scenes from the malaria ward hospital they are heartbreaking. They sang the song live in the telethon, which ended up raising about 31 million pounds sterling in one night.
I don't listen to this album enough but when I revisit it I'm just thoroughly impressed Little Mix delivered this quality on their second album. I remember when the previews on iTunes came out, I was blown away by the step up in the quality from their debut. I don't actually think they've ever matched the greatness & cohesiveness of this album (LM5 was a close match but had a few skips for me personally). Salute captures their brilliance excellently, with the vocals harmonies, beatboxing & fantastic vocals scattered around the place. Little Mix's best moment for me!
Just wanted to say I really appreciate these album reviews! Love how you’ve done these reviews one after the other! You’re probably my fav reactor on RUclips!
I love the way you comment on songs and how you talk about their sound, I would really love to see you doing a short interview to some artists, I really appreciate your point of view on music!! Love from Argentina
Compition is about a situation where the woman in the relationship is more successful because of which the man is insecure and feels the need to constantly show that he is better than her making everything a compitition.......like the lyrics where Perrie says " does it scare you that I'm living my dream "
You should give the acoustic version of 'Move' a try, it's by far my favourite, it does so well at showing off their voices and Jessy even beatboxes in it
My favorites are Boy, Towers, Salute, these four walls and good enough (it is even better live because they added a new part were they sound like angels!!)
Salute is my favorite album of theirs. I just prefer the songs on that album, for the most part. Also- their live version of Good Enough is even better! (I know it's hard to believe but it's true.) I highly recommend checking it out!
Thanks for all the LM content! Great video as always. Also nice to see They Just Don't Know You being appreciated, one of my faves by them that no one ever seems to mention.
Good Enough is even better live! You must react to it or even watch it off cam (Good Enough Live little mix crying version) It never fails to give me chills and make me tear up!
I love seeing you vibing your way through this whole little mix journey. You should defenetely react to 'an introdution to little mix' You will learn so much cool stuff about the Girls. Love your reactions.❤
I finally got to watch this and I’m screaming! The first time I heard “Boy” I literally though it sounded like DC’s “bills bills bills” and Dream’s “He loves you not” lol and sure enough..you came through with the DC and Dream reference 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
beyoncé is their biggest inspiration. and in “boy” if you listen to it again, you can hear Jesy beat boxing through out the song. she’s a really good beat boxer.
these four walls was written mostly by jade and it is about her grandfather who passed away :( it's such a beautiful ballad
Actually only her verse is 100% about that
The rest was written in general (but it could also be interpreted as the loss of her grandfather)
She also wrote about her experience with anorexia "i tried to eat today but the lump in my throat got in the way"
I still cant handle that song
Im just here to coment about that wild Jimin in your icon
Did you even check the writing credits before typing this?
LITTLE MIX AGAIN??? AM I IN HEAVEN?? THANKS STEVEEEEEN!!
two little mix videos in two days = happiness ❤

Time-stamp guy, where are you?
not me pausing the video at 0:01 and scrolling down the comments trying to find him xD
The lighting during Perrie's high note in Towers.. it was like the heavens had opened at the pure angelic sound 🙌🏻
I've never been so spoiled with Little Mix reaction. 😭❤️
Perrie has the about the boy high note. She is the blonde one
37:58 did you note that beatbox? That's Jesy 😍
the girls wrote 11/15 tracks on this album!

This is the album that gives me the biggest case of Mixer FOMO. I would have LOVED stanning this album when it came out.
i love all their albums but this one remains superior in my books 🤍
Transition from DNA to Salute era was ICONIC so much fun and interaction with fans and tours and expectations
Good Enough hits differently now after Jesy's departure...😔
omg 😩💔

I am LIVING for these LM reactions!!

I think jesy shines when it comes to ballads, I mean they all sound amazing, but jesy just has pure and raw emotion, she just sounds so beautiful

Problem with being here early : no time stamps yet
Thank you for give the girls the recognition they deserve!! ❤️😭
this album is iconic
If you want to check their covers, check "I will wait" and "love on the brain"
oh my god steven i beg you, you must absolutely watch their live version of these four walls on surprise surprise, PLEASE !
Good enough live is much better than the studio version
My bestie Steven said let's feed the starving mixers damn❤️
Perrie is doing that note in about the boy. You need to react to Perrie's best vocal moments live, you really need to, trust me
Your thumbnail, I think this is also me, when I finished to hear this album. Love u. 💖

another little mix reaction already? hell yeah
Towers will always be my favorite song from them, I need more power ballads on future albums!
I really love all the little mix content we have been fed lately ☺️
There is beauty in the sadness, which you need to express to grieve, which you need to heal and move forward with life after a personal loss.
period!! i’ve been waiting for this one.
