Am I the only one thinking that Blackburn is kind of Badass when he started saying "This is a training EVOLUTION"? I mean his style is like a boss man. :D
@@robdean704 and by todays conscious world your referring to him having live rounds on a training exercise where the officer likely saved someone's life
@@robdean704 you clearly never been in the military? This is a huge training violation - especially for SMU’s. In real life you get fired from a team for that
Actually it happens a lot (don’t know how often in SMU’s though). You switch from operational/live fire to training in a rush and Sometimes forget to check. In a SMU you get issued a shit ton of gear and have maybe a dozens plate carriers/chest rigss so
What does Thirty mike mean by "MSD"? Also, how bad could the punishment be if it were to happen irl even if no one died? Cause IDK, might be stuff to be shown om the next ep, but I get the feeling they've let Sonny go too easy? As far as I know the weapon is supposed to be real and it's the ammo what's different, right?
You're right. The weapon is real but the ammo is made for training purposes which are like paintballs. In order to make it visible for everyone, the silencer, pistols and the magazines are coloured in blue. The problem was that Sonny took live ammunition to a training exercise where they shoot on "actor opponents". Could have ended fatal if Sonny used his weapon with the live ammo magazine.
@@damianczarnecki8696 Ohh thanks for the specification, just searched that up and I see, so because offset firing pin can't hit a live round centered primer it is not physically possible to kill someone with a modified weapon even tho the weapon is still real, that's so cool, was wondering why the only consequence was terminating exercise but that makes sense

Yep, the trainer did the right thing.
In today's health and safety conscious world probably cause more trouble for the officer not to call it off
@@robdean704 yes like not shooting someone during training. That's an everyday thing

How can you mess up this bad. Lmao
Pretty easily, sleep deprivation, rushed load out. Most SEALs die in training to further put it in perspective.
Why would you not remember to not use live rounds in a training exercise. I mean how is that even possible?
it is possible if you are recruit not if you are fucking tier 1!!!!

@@swissshield7048 No it wouldn't, UTMs are designed not to fire a real round. Nothing bad would happen, but it was just unprofessional.

MSD = Minimum Safe Distance
A calculation is used to ensure safe distance when stacking up before the breach.

I think he's not on the show anymore and phased out. The writers didn't make him as a likeable character.
@@deltaecho1 he might come back, but you’re right, the writers made him a little too unlikable. Good actor though
