Just a quick update I have worn this with the liner in the same temperatures as the original with the liner. I have warn both jackets in the same temperature ranges and have not noticed a comfort difference. since the Army has now had opted multicam for use. This jacket is one that I only use for National Guard drills now.

I'm debating whether to purchase a tru-spec jacket. Is it top quality?

I have had mine for years, the quality is definitely military grade.

Any new info on this comparison? How about design differences? I heard that details like a pleated chest pocket are different on the non-military jackets. Thanks for the review!

+Blakgun The chest pockets are the same as the military issued jacket. Shortly after the army adopted the ACU pattern uniform, they had the m65 field jacket in that patter. The ACU m65 if you can fined one is identical to the one I have in multicam. The big differences between the modern incarnation and the classic ones are the classic M65 has epaulets and dose not have Velcro or as the army calls it hook and loop fasters. The snaps on pockets, the zippers, and other details are the same.

+Joshua Thomas Thanks for the reply on this. I went ahead and ordered a Truspec version in OD with a liner. Should arrive tomorrow. It seemed to be about the best way to go for OD since that color hasn't been issued by the government in decades, and the reviews seem to be fairly good overall.

Hey sir, I have what I believe is an original m65 , it has no brand. Can you give me any information about it, or how to find someone interested in it? I don't even know if it is legal to sell it in the US .

    • @joshuathomas8529

Kevin H To my knowledge military issue M65s don't have any brand names. It is fully legal to sell military surplus to any U.S citizen in the continental United States. best place to sell it would either be on steel soldiers.com in their classifieds. or on eBay.

Take a look on Amazon. I did a quick search and found a few m65 field jackets for under 100 dollars. If your willing to go used checkout sportsmansguid.com they have some in the under 50 price range.

Ok so I for got that this video was about my multicam M65 jaket when I replied to you earlier. My multicam M65 acording to the tag was made in Honduras from U.S materials. I have not used this coat much sence i was medicaly retired from the army in November 2018. It still looks brand new.
