- Has anybody else noticed that every time a game has a giant monster or a wide open field, Dan says "This is very Shadow of the Colossus"? No? Just me? Oh, well, anyway, here's like 25 examples of him doing that. (And some of Arin too.)

The Shadow of the Colossus playthrough was the first time I ever watched Game Grumps
Dan definitely has like 5-10 games that he compares all other games to.
this compiation makes it feel a little more towards the '5' side of that spectrum
Me: "Hey Billy, what's your favorite Game Grumps episode."
Billy: "My favorite video is when Dan mentions Shadow of the Colossus for a long~ time."
Could just as easily make one of these for Dan comparing things to Akira as well. BTW, I love how even Arin was getting a little tired of it and he barely responds half the time. XD

I never noticed how often they bring up Shadow of the Colossus. I got tired of hearing it in this video.
this comp is hilarious but if i were Dan i would never want to know that it exists. it would give me a complex.
12:48 "That's very Golden Axe." Praise be! Dan has learned another video game! Unfortunately, like many of his SotC comparisons, there is literally nothing on-screen that looks even remotely like Golden Axe. XD
Really, they compared to it a lot, and some comparisons are completely fair cuz they were litearally made inspired by it. I guess i stopped noticing, maybe cuz they usually dont accent on self-referential stuff. Also it's very emotional piece and Dan played it with his own hands so the impression it left is that much stronger.

Honestly... i want to see a compilation of the dozens of times Danny has made the, "three fingers in your ear singing scales=bad singing," equivocacy because that bit is beginning to become a TOUCH overplayed.
You're tired of the musician laughing about how overplayed the finger to the ear fake epic singing is because it's overplayed? Ironic.
I want that comp because it sounds hilarious and exhausting
