    Never miss a Love and London video, I have learned so much from the channel ! I want to say after seeing Ellie for whom I had taken her tour in December 2022, it was a very memorable and well done trip to the East End with such a different approach to talking about and honoring the victims and not the murderer this time. Highly recommend this tour as Ellie was terrific.

    One of my favourite memoirs to history in South London are the fences around some housing estates being made from WWII stretchers, placed end to end. There was quite a large stockpile of stretchers after the blitz and many fences had been lost; recycling the stretchers in the “make do and mend” era neatly killed two birds with one stone.

    Goodness gracious me, I just visited London in late Oct. 2022. That was on my first international solo trip since the pandemic began, and my organization has a London site. Love and London played a huge role in persuading me to give London a go, and loved all of the guides you made, and it was a proper hit within my personal travel community.
    But since I visited London for the first time to both re-acclimate myself to the new normal of international transatlantic travel, and also because I work for the CEO so London Business trips could become a regular thing. My trip seems to have reinvigorated London as a PTO vacation destination, since more than half of my team revisited London since the new year began, after I shared a few tidbits and recommendations, and this video reminded me that I've got to go back not on business again to stop by all the highlights and tours featured in this video that I apparently missed!!!

    Hey! I was wondering if you had any tips for people traveling to London during the public transport strike? My trip to London falls exactly on the days of the strike and I am concerned about getting around the town as the tube/rail (and some busses?) will be shut down.
    Gathering information about similar strikes in the past I am thinking that the smartest move would be to cancel the trip entirely, which is devestating, ngl.

    • @loveandlondon
      @loveandlondon  Год назад

      No no don't cancel. Just plan your visit where you can avoid transport as much as possible. Walking, taxi and bike/scooters all still available.

    • @IceCrystalWolf

      @Love and London thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I'm staying outside of the centre so I can't outright avoid public transport, but I think I will take a chance and see what happens. At the very least it will be an experience to talk about later :)
      Thanks for the tips!

    I think i've spotted postman's park in the movie called "Closer", starring Jude Law, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts. In the begining of the movie, After Natalie Portman is hit by a car and jude Law escorts her to the hospital they take a walk and get to know each other and I think they end up in this very park. The tiles with the names on them remind me of this. Strange, yet beautiful that i remembered that.
