    thats the real power behind prs. with every process there can emerge a porblem not earlier noticed. its just very nice fot the folks buying a prs that the guitar is going to be as good as possible

Bellissimo...

    You're not kidding. I used to work for PRS. Millions in business a year; the people who run the company making money hand over fist; I knew people in the front office who weren't even 30 and they're buying real estate; meanwhile the poor bastards who actually make the fucking guitars were driving falling-apart cars and living paycheck to paycheck. I sure do hope Paul sleeps well at night.

    I mainly a fender player. But you can't deny the build quility of PRS.

    people are always whining over paul reed smiths being "not worth the price"...look at what these things go through, the amount of time they take to create, the quality control, the precision (and value) of the few and ONLY MACHINES they go through...
    my custom 24 has served me impeccably over the past 10 years...I ride it hard and know it'll be back to play as perfectly as it did on day one every time...that's more than worth the price you pay

  • @ljuglampa
    @ljuglampa  15 лет назад

    Compared with other guitars in the same price range they match up nicely. Easy to play due to the standard PRS low action setup and nice sounding pickups.

    You can see it in RUclips or in the SpringNO web.

    I freakin love PRS!

  • @mojoefly
    @mojoefly 14 лет назад

    damn, now i know why PRS is so expensive.
    1. sourcing the wood
    2. preparing the wood
    3. tons of handwork
    4. lots of machines
    5. more hand crafting
    6.fret jobs
    7. quality control
    8. tons of finishing works.
    and a crap ton more.
    PRS= totally worth it..

    I want that job cutting up the guitars! (07:00)
    My work day would be over in no time. I would have to get a big van to come to work in tho.
    Nothing like taking your work home is there.

  • @BernieRicoBich

    @ljuglampa I have a Custom 24 as my main guitar and an SE Custom 24 as my backup, both are great guitars, the SE model has a very similar feel, the only thing I'd recommend to someone is you may wanna switch out the pickups with the higher end ones.

  • @ljuglampa

    No, the SE (Student Edition) models are manufactured in Korea, not in the US, and has cheaper tone wood, less exclusive finishes and hardware and less detail work.

  • @kceovaisnt
    @kceovaisnt 15 лет назад

    Thats not entirely true. As the quality of a guitar goes up it is true that you see a more streamlined neck joint with little heel. But only to a point. Most top end luthiers feel that two woods in the body kill tone. They also have found that better resonance is seen with a bulkier joint. Fender and Gibson's top models all have this. PRS has done this pretty much perfect with the body shape. You can play the top frets without feeling any hinderance from the heel.

    yeah it is depressing, but that factory is being payed to make specific instruments, and they have to be high quality, so I suppose they don't allow selling seconds unless there's someone right buy the person saying "I want that" :(

    Yeah it makes me cry when they cut them up, but if you think about it it makes sense. If there were poor quality PRS guitars around then they would give the decent ones a bad name.

    i heard on the parker factory tour it takes this many hours of work to make a guitar
    5hrs=fender strat-
    8hrs= gibson les paul
    35hrs= parkers fly.
    anyone know how many work hours a prs takes?

  • @getupstairstobed

    yep (you speak unparelled sense!), im a large scale independent luthier and i find it crazy they did that,any mistakes that happen id make damn sure they were corrected, my instruments are not substandard by any means though as they sell for the very competitive £400-£600 bracket. what this is is just a phony PR stunt, they blatently cut it crudely like they were cutting scrap wood, if this was done for real no wonder theyre not as big as some others, ill be honest theres a lot of blah in the

    No you heard correct. I am surprised you haven't heard about this before. It is the same concept as using microwave curing or even infared to thermoset the compound. They all use EM waves to heat and cure the glue. By using RF adhesion compound they can cure evenly and quickly as RF radiation penetrates these woods. These machine are super expensive and really are only practical from an industrial standpoint as it increases workflow. Not practical for you.

    guitar business, and this is some of it, i dont subscribe to that thats why people are amazed at my very much pimped up beauties. at the start our guys are craftsman, if they were theyd be able to switch from gluing up to fretting, weve all seen the pace these work at, ive never seen any bespoke factory work as fast as this, theyre obviously labourers and thats another lie.
