Epic New Disc Dog Freestyle Moves

Ron & Epic whip up a couple of holy grail type disc dog freestyle moves. Front side Japanese Dog Catch and a Jakie Back Vault.

It's been an amazing week for Winter Training down here in Florida. Lots of lessons learned, and a couple of firsts for us that are kind of historical unicorns or holy grail type tricks for me, personally.
We also picked up a key transition and sequencing concept that we're messing around with that really seems to be enhancing flow in a systematic manner. Super cool.
Can't wait to drop it into our camp flatwork and sequencing instruction.

If I had a nickel for every time I thought about all 3 of these tricks here.
The first one, a little hoop, is kind of deceiving, as it's inverted. It's a position that is likely to get you landed on by your dog. Both Epic and Loot are starting to drop into the hoop... super cool and super cool skill.
The second one is a bonafide holy grail kind of trick...
"You know what would be cool? If you could get your dog to CATCH a disc on the way UP to the vault and then catch the second one he vaults for..."
"Yeah, man, that would be so cool." ;-)
And the front side Japanese Dog Catch (Thanks for the nomenclature Tracy Custer) also makes me feel all accomplished. It's been about 10 years of monkeying around here and there...
