The journey the singer has been on is quite remarkable. When he started the band, he wrote mostly about his darkest thoughts and his fight with depression. Now he’s writing about finding a way to love himself and his happy thoughts after quitting his addictions. He used to be on the slightly overweight so when he gave up drinking and started getting healthier, he trained to run a half marathon and is insanely proud of his body transformation (hense the shirtlessness). As for the massive pink overload, the band has had a single color scheme for each single they’ve released for the first 3 singles on their new album. One last fun fact, the singer writes, records, and produces every song that has been released, the actual band members are there for tour, videos, and promotional photos
Caleb has been dealing with many demons throughout most of his life and he fearlessly bleeds it all out in his music. He has struggled with alcoholism and self worth issues and he has made many changes in his life in search of happiness and peace of mind. This single is a reflection of how far he has come in that pursuit. By the way, Caleb is basically a one man show. He writes all of the lyrics/music then he goes into the studio and plays/records all of the vocals, guitars(lead, rhythm & bass)and drums, all the while producing, engineering and mixing the final product. He did this on four full-length albums and a fifth on the way. The guys in the band(past & present) were/are great, but they are basically touring musicians. Caleb Shomo is a musical freak of nature! I strongly encourage you to take a dive into his catalog of music. I doubt that you will be disappointed. 🐻🦷🤘🤘

I think maybe doing research is something that will make you experience songs better, like you will understand what artist is trying to get across, Caleb did bunch of interviews about the album, songs... Takes couple of minutes to listen 😊
Like others have said! This is definitely the lightest song Caleb has done to reflect the changes in his life. Sunshine would be great, along with Riptide, Dominate, or The Past is Dead.
I mean they are still heavy this song was definitely lighter but like the first comment said the songs he they have put out are basically him saying he's tired of being held down by depression and addiction and he's found a way to process that and love himself instead of hating who he is as a person

We don't hate the band, in fact we don't hate anybody, we react we have different opinions and we often don't even know the band or the insights and stories behind things, we get attacked by the fanbase and that is ok too, our reactions are real, we don't try to please every fanbase for every band. In fact no one likes EVERYTHING - We didn't hate this song nor the band, matter of fact discovering that he's on his journey to Better himself on so many levels made it 1000x more badass.
