I don’t know if you’re up for suggestions but if you are, I highly recommend checking out Jack Kays. I think he does a great job at bringing awareness for mental health, drug addiction and redemption. He blends genres, plays multiple instruments and writes his own music. He is also a trained culinary chef… That’s actually how I discovered him through a potato salad recipe 🫣 The Voice in my Head, Outrun Myself (Travis Barker collab) and Barely Alive are some suggestions if interested.
I missed this on my notifications- between Dax Ren Baretooth and Bad Wolves- awesome songs dropped while I was gone the last two days! Baretooth is a long time favorite of my boys and I!!! The song “in between” was always playing when my sons were two and seven… and the now at 13 my son and I are always listening to Rip Tide- and this song right here… my 4 daughter LOVES! Anyone thinking that this is a hairbrush jumping around singing and head banging song- IT IS!!! We were total craziness in the hotel room this morning packing! (I pack the JBL charger everywhere I go) I love the lyrics of all three- but this song is super important for my kids to rock out to! And even my own mental health- it’s my favorite ! -fyi- I believe he had a eating disorder or something , I know there is a backstory. My son was telling me about it… which makes it again a good direction that more bands/males are opening up in ways that young men can hear. LOVE IT
